gaius will literally do a 180 in his opinion of people if they treat his children right.

#g.aius had a kind of fearful respect for v.aldeaulin. knowng the man wasn't afraid to do what pleased him and that - #his need for vengeance wasn't actually fueled by the idea of killing g.aius but making him suffer. v.al could kill him any day and that - #isn't what scares him. he wishes he were dead. what makes him unsure of v.aldeaulin is the fact that his hate has festered beyond - #wanting g.aius dead. but EVEN HIM - even KNOWING v.al - at one point - had it in him to skin g.aius alive or threatened to break his finger #one by one by one - can't NOT acknowledge the fact that after his daughter returned to him broken and bereft and unable to be human again - #v.al didn't just turn a blind eye to her suffering. (probably because he saw himself in her. probably because before the hate and ill will #WAS his broken heart and inability to cope. before his heart took over and decided that pain deserved pain.) #and where as once g.aius did earnestly think v.al would snap and slit his throat in the middle of the night - he now sees him as #sort of an external moral compass. that he knows if he ignores his own moral code and does something untoward - #that no longer will he get away with it bc he's a legatus or bc the emperor told him to. v.al will fucking kill him and he will deserve it. #... but he WILL care for a.llie because none of it was her fault and she doesn't deserve it. #anyway #ⅩⅣ tertius oculus ( hcs. ) #ⅩⅣ gregales ( v/s/g. )

Hello Good Morning/Afternoon, I LOVE your art and the description of your books. Seriously. As someone who is about to buy your books, what order do you recommend I read them in?

I see there is the release order of the series meaning:

Stormbite/Silverbird/Sirroco/Gregale/Broken Arrow

Or there is the wiki timeline of the currently released Compass then currently released Storms.

For a first read I didn't know whether you would reccomend reading your earlier books in release order to learn your writing style or just to follow the timeline that has been set up.

I'm not really sure how tumblr works so if there's something I've done wrong I do apologise, I just wanted to thankyou for all of your art and effort. I can see these 'asks' can get posted as full questions so if thats the case I'm sorry for such a long message on my part taking up screen space if there's someone else who saw this question and wanted to know the first order too. Published Order:

Stormbite -> Sirocco -> Gregale -> Broken Arrow -> Silverbird

Timeline Order:

Broken Arrow -> Sirocco -> Gregale -> Stormbite -> Silverbird

Lore Heavy to Acompanying Light Lore:

Stormbite -> Silverbird -> Sirocco -> Gregale -> Broken Arrow

For when there are future releases (ie Libeccio, Mistral, Skybourne, and any short stories) these are where they would fit in.

Storm Series: Stormbite, Silverbird, Skybourne.

Compass Project Series: Sirocco, Gregale, Libeccio, Mistral

Short Stories: Broken Arrow, Glasswing (Related to Compass), Ten of Feathers (Related to Sirocco).
