Not to be normal about Team Rancher again but can we talk about the Soulmate Trials.

Because they passed that thing with flying colors. Not because they were perfect in all the disciplines, in fact they messed up 2/3 of them, but because, just as they had done the entire season, they never even hesitated in forgiving each other. Instead they took everything in stride.

Jimmy gets absolutely rammed by the goat? Tango just laughs. He doesn't get angry, or makes fun of Jimmy.

When Tango doesn't place the water soon enough? They just joke about it, saying that they should work on their team building. Jimmy doesn't hold it against him.

When they're in the ice box and Scott tells them they can talk out any issues they have, what do they do? Jimmy makes a dumb pun and they both just laugh delightedly at it. And that's the thing.

The whole time of the trials, there's so much laughter. They're just being silly and having fun. They don't get angry at each other's mistakes, they accept each other as they are. They don't care about the trials, or their results, because they already know that the two of them trust each other unconditionally. And some silly test could never shake that trust, that acceptance and love. It was never even a question.

And in a way, I wonder if that's the real lesson of the trials. Not that you have to be perfect in order to be a good soulmate, but that you have to accept both your soulmate's strengths and weaknesses. That you have to show that you trust and cherish your soulmate much more than the results of a few tests and the words of someone calling himself a professional. And I wonder if Team Rancher have been the only ones able to do that thus far
