One thing that’s very frustrating about being a modest woman who grew up in a hyper conservative family is that everyone who knows you views your modesty as a failing of your upbringing rather than your own choice. It is my decision how much of my body I wish to display to the public; I don’t live at home, and I’m not a child. However, this leads to many people, especially white girls, trying to change or “corrupt” me when I’m perfectly fine the way I am.
Being modest doesn’t mean I have an aversion to anything sex related and I dress like a nun. Believe me, my father finds a reason to comment on everything I wear, even if it’s modest. He commented on my leggings four or five times when I went home this weekend. Maybe stop staring at my ass, weirdo. He also complains if even part of my midriff shows when I raise my arms. He comments if I cuss, etc etc.
But guess what? I cuss. I wear leggings. I can discuss sensitive topics like sex. Me preferring not to show my ass and tits in public is not a failure of my upbringing, but rather my body my choice.

“The paradox of conservatism is they want being normal to be punk. They want to rebel against authority while being the ones in power. They want to be rugged individuals and they think everyone should be the same as them. They want to overcome adversity while staying in the majority.” -@innuendostudios on twitter

I feel like a lot of people unfortunately need this to be explained, given how they try to "debate" the topic: If you tell a conservative that their policies harm transgender or nonbinary minors, they are absolutely never, ever going to think "oh no, what have I done?!" What they already chose to believe is that everyone by default is born comfortable with their assigned gender role, and only becomes transgender or otherwise nonconforming when exposure to the concept itself essentially poisons and warps their mind. They don't think it's "real" that anyone starts questioning their gender from an early age; they think it's a delusion planted in them by just seeing trans people at all. These people, therefore, believe your liberal ideas already "harmed" those kids by injecting them with the dreaded gender-questioning psychic virus, and they believe kids can be saved from this hideous fate if the culture they grow up in simply hides the existence of trans people as anything other than a punchline or a villain, despite the fact that decades of precisely such a culture did nothing at all to stop trans people from existing. You CANNOT reason with this mindset or appeal to its nonexistent compassion. They are not "uninformed" or "misinformed;" they've already heard all the information you could ever want to give them and they deliberately chose to reinterpret it this way. Begging them to care about trans youth is not only useless but just incites them harder, because they're already angry and disgusted with you for thinking that trans youth EXIST.

Good Browife
As a good otterwife, he has to prepare delicious stuff for his bear men. After all, their big balls require a lot of protein and their big bellies a lot of calories to adequately please him. There are clear roles in every bro household to function well.

Here’s a reminder for anyone who thinks that conservatives accept aces: they think we need to be fixed. They think women and feminine people are inherently asexual but they mean it in a way that agency is removed, not as an orientation.
It’s also not a sudden switch. The churches I grew up in preached that sexuality was reserved for your husband, and that if you had boobs (they didn’t recognize anything but cis existed) that your body was inherently tempting, and men’s attraction to you was your responsibility.
Also — while I went to church camp every summer and did Bible Quizzing (I was really good at that actually) and was in the church pageant and youth groups and all of that — I know many people raised in much stricter churches, and that includes stricter purity culture beliefs.
The idea that men and masculine people wouldn’t want sex? Utterly unthinkable. I even remember having conversations in my Christian college with women who wanted to get married who said that part of their marriage was the duty to be sexually available to their husbands.
The body I was raised with was meant for the service of a future husband, not me. And that bled into secular culture (still does). Claiming my aceness was a huge part of claiming agency over my body and healing from the idea that it could only exist for others.
Here’s the thing: in a nutshell, women and feminine people are seen as not wanting sex, but having bodies inherently sexually tempting to men and masculine people. When the two marry, she must give her body to her husband in every way. And yeah, it’s as gross as it sounds.
Just because conservatives didn’t say “asexual” before doesn’t make this rhetoric new. Purity culture has been against anything not based in some 1950s idealized sexuality in marriage for a very long time. Very cis heteronormative— two things aces are not. The only difference is that conservatives are including the word “asexual” in their sexual ethics now.
Wrote an essay about it here.
But yeah it’s not new. They’re just learning how to use more vocabulary to say what they were already saying.

Government officials have drawn up deeply controversial proposals to broaden the definition of extremism to include anyone who “undermines” the country’s institutions and its values, according to documents seen by the Observer.
The Government prepared a secret dossier on an academic’s social media posts supporting transgender rights, Black Lives Matter, lecturer strikes and criticisms of No 10 amid a free speech row with universities.
Britain is an “omni-surveillance” society with police forces in the “extraordinary” position of holding more than 3m custody photographs of innocent people more than a decade after being told to destroy them.

So there's this person called @alaticba
He's pro-choice & made a claim that the SCOTUS recently ruled that performing abortions when the woman's life is in danger, is illegal. I asked him for a source.
First, he linked to the White House and Youtube videos (!), which is of course ridiculous since the government is pro-choice and you cannot expect any integrity from them. Youtube videos are also not a reliable source.
I asked for a direct link to the court decision & the judgements the judges had made. This is where it gets interesting. For some reason, he began to argue that saying "The court ruled that life-threat abortions should be illegal" is not a claim that he had made, and also proceeded to call me names. "Motherfucker", "Dense," and "Stupid" are some of them.
And now he's spamming my inbox & chat to say that he won't let me get away easily.
What's hilarious is that he STILL has not backed up his claim with proper evidence.

Young conservatives piss me off.
You wanna cling to dying traditions and old systems that no longer work or arguably never worked?
What a joke.
You want society to stagnate and you want to go down with the sinking ship that your parents left you.
Congrats, you're even stupider than older conservatives, but at least those rotting dinosaurs will be dead before the consequences of their actions hit them.
You, on the other hand, will suffer with the rest of us, except you'll just be confused as your steadfast dedication to an idyllic non-existent past fails you, over and over again.

You can't be "fiscally conservative and socially liberal"
You can't say you support marginalized people and then cut the programs they need to survive and overcome systemic oppression.
You can't say you want to protect indigenous communities and then give a free pass to oil executives to destroy their lands and homes.
You can't say you support the LGBT community and then lift restrictions to let people discriminate and disenfranchise them.
And you definitely can't say you support these groups and then ally and vote with and for people who explicitly want every person in those groups dead.

I don't think enough people are paying attention to project 2025. I know it's a big document and I don't really expect the average person to read it all or anything like that but being aware of it and knowing some of the key plans/goals it describes is probably pretty useful.
Like you know how in movies the evil villain goes on a monologue describing their whole evil plan and you think "they just revealed everything, If that were me I would know exactly how to stop them now"
This is that. Conservatives just outlined their whole evil plan in detail down to the who, what, when, where, how, and why's of the things they intend to do if they take the presidency again, the thing is 900 pages long and basically anything you might want to know or plan countermeasures for is in there.
