“Rainbow Hawks”

This is officially the hardest drawing I have ever done. Period. It took me months to work up the courage to draw him, pick all the colors for him (as you can see, there are a lot!), and finally color him. I hated the entire experience because I was constantly worried about “messing him up.” Even looking at the final product, there are noticeable differences. However, the original used digital art and a rainbow filter, so I’m trying not to be too hard on myself. Drawing straight lines was a nightmare, and I had to use the grid method when drawing the first sketch so I could get his side profile right (it took so many attempts!). There are many mistakes that I made that I would’ve done differently if I had the chance, but I won’t point them out--you’ll end up despising the drawing as much as I do, lol. But at least it’s over and I can finally move on to different drawings now. In the end, I’m thankful that the light rays actually look like light as opposed to random stripes, and I’m proud of myself for not giving up :)
