Opening Night
Cowslips in ditches
ready to bloom,
crisp new currency of Spring.
Amphibians jam,
frogs tune up
on fern French horns.
Slim glimmer of moon,
edge of silver sequin
on evening’s gown.
Stage curtained
with Northern Lights,
a limited engagement.

There's so much rain and it sounds like tappings on the windows. Also hail so it looks like there's snow on the ground and mum just said, ''Oh the poor cowslips'' I wanna go home.

Wooaa, Cowslip doodle!! When I first read about this guy I kinda assumed that the warren was actually domesticated or something, with bred rabbits 😳 I suppose in a way it was. But I really pictured him being this soft, fluffy dude with some kinda dignified air... think it suits his role as a deceiver. C:

“And what do 𝘺𝘰𝘶 think of them, Hlao-roo? asked Hazel.
“They’re very nice and kind,” answered Pipkin, “but I’ll tell you how they strike me. They all seem terribly sad. I can’t think why, when they’re so big and strong and have this beautiful warren. But they put me in mind of trees in November. I expect I’m being silly, though, Hazel. You brought us here and I’m sure it must be a fine, safe place.”

Jack being a prissy princess, and Birdy having none of it. Inspired by the image used in episode 69bof the Watership Down Podcast discussing the Warren of the snares scene in the original Watership Down (1978) movie.
I know in my bio I've stated that I'm too chicken to watch the movie, but after giving it some thought, I think I'll watch it one of these weekends with a good friend of mine. It may very well cure my leopridphibia (fear of rabbits) once and for all. Maybe I won't have to constantly look over my shoulder at night to make sure General Woundwort isn't going to tackle me, lol.
As far as Birdy and Jack, their dynamic is a bit complex - you see, Birdy wants to love Jack as much as any friend. However, he is just so bigheaded and self entitled that there's really no helping him. Fun fact about Jack- his character design ( specifically talking about his bucked teeth, cleft lip, and dark eyelids were partially inspired by General Woundwort, but he has more of a Bigwig personality as well as some snobbish tendencies. Birdy would be more like Fiver, with her wits and inability to go along with the crowd.
