Ok so I’ve been thinking while I’ve been out.

What if Crowpaw/feather fell in love with Squirrelpaw/flight instead of Feathertail on the journey? It would all make sense, duo to them being both around the same age and they have the same type of attitude.

Brambleclaw and Ashfur would still love her, but instead of Ashfur being evil, it’s Brambleclaw. Ashfur quickly realized she isn’t interested and moves on. Later getting with Whitewing. But Brambleclaw would be so obsessed with Squirrelflight, he gets the idea of getting power to get to her. Starting to plot against Thunderclan and Windclan with Hawkfrost and Mudclaw, so where Mudclaw who becomes leader so he can help defeat FireStar. Making his death an accident when there is a border fight and Mud’star’ and his deputy would accidentally kill FireStar. Who at the time had Brambleclaw as the deputy as he waited for Graystripe to return. Though it fails when Mudclaw is killed by Onewhisker in a one-on-one fight. And the storm rages so Brambleclaw has to retreat into the shadows. Not being seen by the Thunderclan patrol who later comes and helps defeat the rebels. So Brambleclaw is still ‘loyal’ in Thunderclan’s eyes.

Crowfeather- Now talon cause he doesn’t love Feather anymore) and Squirrelflight are still meeting at the border. More near the Moonpool and out of clan territory so no cats catches them. They often meet when their not busy and know when there is less suspicious activity.

Brambleclaw is furious and plots with Hawkfrost to take something of Squirrelflight and make him leader. Which is making FireStar follow him into the fox-trap. It some-what works and takes one life but not until Ashfur catches Hawkfrost and almost kills him. The Dark brown tabby and white tom runs back to Riverclan, stating to Leopardstar that Thunderclan ambushed him while he was going to get herbs for his sister. Which was a lie, but Mothflight wasn’t there to do anything as she was looking for herbs herself.

Riverclan plans on attacking Thunderclan and Brambleclaw tries and help. Right now, Brackenfur is deputy after Cinderpelt gets a prophecy stating that Bramble would be a reconning, which Brambleclaw is inraged that he was demotes and later finds out Squirrel has been mating with Crow and manipulates Squirrelflight into becoming his mate to hide the fact that she’s with the Windclan warrior. When Riverclan attacked Brambleclaw took Squirrelflight out of camp for a walk. Taking her to the abandoned two-leg place to hunt. When they return, the camp is destroyed. The newly built camp that they just settled into now in shambles. All the dens were torn apart. Cinderpelt was wounded and the herb store was destroyed and Birchpaw, Ashfur and Sootfur were severely injured. Only Ashfur makes it, while Birchpaw and Sootfur die. Whitewing becomes a warrior right after. (Whitewing and Ashfur end up having Dovewing and Ivypool and later end up having another kit and name is Brindlekit after Ashfur’s mother.)

Squirrelflight is devastated by this death and so is Spiderleg, Dustpelt and Ferncloud. Spiderleg, losing his last sibling, and Ferncloud and Dustpelt losing the last kit to their second litter.

Crowtalon sees that Brambleclaw is abusing his mate and comes to FireStar in secret after asking to meet with him. Crowtalon decides to tell FireStar how much he loves his daughter and asks to rightfully join Thunderclan to be with her, and Firestar having deep connects with Windclan, accepts him into Thunderclan. Crowtalon has a hard time adjusting to clan life but slowly gets used to it. Brambleclaw is furious with this as he now has to step back from being Squirrelflight’s ‘mate’ which was going to give him power. Firestar ends up seeing this and exiles Brambleclaw who ends up running to Riverclan. Where Hawkfrost convinces Leopardstar to let him join. Leopardstar agreed as she sees it as ‘Brambleclaw just wanting to be with his brother’ and when Firestar explains Brambleclaw was exiled. Leopardstar makes an excuse saying ‘Your just saying that because you lost a very good warrior’ where Firestar growls and leaves the gathering.

After this, Mistyfoot is tells Leopardstar that Firestar is right, where Leopardstar is inraged that her deputy would trust another leader and not her and demotes and exiles her and her kits, Primrosethorn and Reedwhisker. And which they join Thunderclan while Leopardstar makes Hawkfrost deputy. Who later becomes Hawkstar and makes Brambleclaw his deptuy. (Starclan gives Hawkstar his lives because they see him as a good leader who would make Riverclan strong. Which is kinda how it went with Tigerstar I)

Firestar is mad that Leopardstar has made Hawkfrost deputy but pushes forward. Allowing BlueStar’s daughter back in Thunderclan. Who decides to stay for good. While Primrose quickly gets comfortable. Clearly having Thunderclan blood while Reedwhisker has a slow process in getting used to the inclosed woods with barely any water. Though Firestar allows them to fish in the lake on Thunderclan’s territory. Primrosethorn later takes Rainwhisker as a mate.

Squirrelflight and Crowtalon have their first litter around the time Leafpool has hers with Mothflight.

They have their litter outside of camp so they can take in Leafpool’s. Who has two. She had Jaykit(named after his blue eyes) and Lionkit who was named after his golden-brown fur. While Squirrelflight has Fallowkit named after a bird like Crowtalon. Jayfeather, LionBlaze, Fallowleaf. (Hollyleaf)

-I named Holly something different cause Leaf has originally named her Holly cause that was the first patient she lost but now she isn’t Her kit so it makes sense for Squirrelflight to name her something different.

This explains why Fallowleaf doesn’t get powers. When Brambleclaw (who replaces Ashfur in the fire scene) rats out Squirrelflight saying she is a traitor for having kits with another clan cat even though Crowtalon joined the clan and says her kits should be dead’s. So Squirrelflight says their not hers though Brambleclaw still attacks her, injuring her before Squirrelflight pushes him into the fire. Making him burned for life and gets imprisoned in Thunderclan by Firestar due to Squirrelflight telling Firestar he tried to kill her and her kits.

Now, when Fallowleaf heard this she thought she wasn’t her kit either. Which is why at first she hates Squirrelflight and ignores her. But Crowfeather tells her that she is their kit, but not her brothers. So Fallowleaf doesn’t run into the tunnels, though does get trapped in them after hunting and falling into one. Which is where she meets and gets trained by Fallen Leaves to live in the tunnels.

Fallowleaf lives and I’m tempted to make her have a mate. Idk who though.

FAV WARRIOR CATS CHALLENGE

All these are mostly just headcanons, but I don't care. Here are why who

(DISCLIAMER ABOUT CROWFEATHER DESIGN- I am native myself! I gave them those feathers cause I love Crow and personally hc them as being Plains Cree (AKA MY own culture ), so its more of a nod to my own hcs. I know how important feathers are to Native people, and I wouldn't gave a feather to any character without reason. Hell, I have a eagle feather myself from my kohkom. So it is NOT for aesthetic purposes)

MOTHER + KIT- Leopardfoot & Tigerkit(claw)- I am a huge fan of Leopard, and I personally believe she is the originally Sparkpelt. She doesn't get enough love I swear to Christ-

Her and Tigerclaw's story feels like such wasted potential to me, it was just- super fast and she wasn't even MENTIONED in Tigerclaw's novella??? So in my own little head; she was a good mother to Tigerkit and did the best she could with what she got, and Tigerclaw loves her no matter what. I will make an entire post about her and how much I love her.

Their relationship is also realistic!! Leopard loves her idiot son but has fights with him a lot, which makes sense for a young single mom with a stubborn son

SIBLINGS- Cloudpaw, Fernpaw, and Ashpaw- FOSTER SIBLING LOVE YEAAAAAAAAAAH!!! The Erins had completely ignored the Cloudkit was fostered by Brindleface and saw Ash and Fern as siblings. I love seeing them as siblings; hanging out as apprentices and even having a kitten hunting party that shit cute as HELL

MLM SHIP- Black x Sol- the homos. That's all.

FATHER + KIT(S)- Fernsong, Bristlekit, Flipkit, and Thriftkit- I literally refuse to believe that Fernsong wasn't a den dad. Even if in canon he doesn't at all. No, he was a stay at home dad and made little heart sandwiches for his wife while she went hunting.

FRIENDSHIP- Sunbeam + Nightheart- I love these two friendship! Just some gal pals venting about their lives which is nice! I wouldn't even mind a romance, if they continue like this

(Also, yes, I am using she/her pronouns for Nightheart, transfem Nightheart for the win)

MLW SHIP- Crow x Squirrel- I have grown to LOVE this couple- the peppy redhead with the emo boy is a brilliant ship. They deserve the world.

GRANDPARENT + KIT(S)- Nutmeg + Princess's kits- This one is the most headcanony of em all. I didn't want to pick Sand/Alder (since they are super common in this) so i made up a headcanon on the spot that Nutmeg goes to meet her daughter's kittens once everyday and loves them to bits and pieces

MENTOR + APPRETINCE- Longtail + Swiftpaw- the most canon of these! I love the father role Long has with Swift, and always stand up for his son. Love them

WLW SHIP- Maple x Sparrow- OKAY THIS IS A SEROIUS RAREPAIR- I had a dumbass idea where Maple and Sparrow became Dark Forest BFFs then slowly fall in love and now are the queens of the Dark Forest

I am aware that some of these images are racially incorrect for genetics - for example, I pictured Crowfeather and Leafpool as caucasian, but they have Hollyleaf, who is African American and Jayfeather is tan, and Lionblaze has golden hair and eyes. Just for safety, I mean no offense, this was just how I pictured the characters.

Warrior Cats Human Headcannons - Through The Generations

- Bluestar thinks of Fireheart as the son she never got to raise - she would constantly give him advice on warrior and personal life

- When she found out Oakheart died, she locked herself in her room for days and cried. The entire clan was worried and thought she was grieving over Redtail - which she was. It broke her heart when she found out how 2 people she loved died in the same day

- Whenever she would meet with Crookedstar during a Gathring he would quietly whisper how her children were doing. Bluestar could never convey how grateful she was for that.

- She and Yellowfang would often hang out together - first out of courtesy, then as genuine friends. Bluestar appreciated her scathing honesty

- She and Whitestorm use to pass time by looking over the clan and telling each other who would end up with who. Bluestar could already tell when Graystripe was meeting up with Silverstream - after all, she fell in love with a Riverclan person as well. Whitestorm and her automatically agreed that Sandstorm would fall for Fireheart first, and facepalmed at how oblivious he was.

- Firestar sometimes has PTSD nightmares about Tigerstar and the only thing that can calm him down is Graystripe

- Fireheart and Graystripe patiently listened to Ravenpaw as he would ramble on and on about Barley when they visited him. They were the ones to help him come out and encouraged him to confess

- Him and Sandstorm have the Hiccstrid vibe. She is the only one who has the brain cell between him and Graystripe

- When Firestar and Sandstorm got together, Graystripe pulled her aside and tried to give her the “you break his heart and I’ll break your neck” speech. She couldn't hold in her laugh and he was humiliated. Still, she promised to take care of him

- Firestar cried when Cloudtail and Brightheart got married - so did Couldtail as his future wife walked down the aisle like a beautiful warrior princess. He couldn’t stop himself from telling her how beautiful she was over and over again. When they were pronounced husband and wife the whole Thunderclan was crying.

- Leafpool and Squirrelflight are twins. Squirrelflight is a daddy’s girl and Leafpool is a mommy’s girl. Sandstorm and Firestar were so proud when Leafpool said she wanted to be a medicine person. Squirrelflight had rolled her eyes while having a gazillion twigs and leaves in her hair

- Squirrelflight was that hyperactive little kid you could never take your eyes off of or else she'd kill herself. Loved giving Firestar heart attacks and gave Sandstorm her first grey hairs. Leafpool was an angel sent from Starclan

- Squirrelflight was 17 when she ran away to go on the journey. Brambleclaw had just become 19, Tawneypelt was 19, Crowfeather was 17, and Feathertail and Stormfur were 18.

- All of them have the friendship of the Breakfast Club - you wouldn’t expect it, but they have that bond for life.

- Brambleclaw was Squirrelflight’s first kiss. It was in the heat of the moment where Brambleclaw had nearly died, and it was like fireworks had gone off

- Everyone was heartbroken when Feathertail was killed. Stormfur lost his sister. Crowfeather lost his first love. Tawneypelt, Brambleclaw, and Squirrelflight lost a friend

- Leafpool and Crowfeather began growing close on the journey to the lake. She wanted to get closer to him out of sympathy, he resisted (naturally), but soon he was opening up to her. He would tell her his deepest feelings and she would confess things she hadn't even told her own sister. By the time they reached the lake, Leafpool realized she had feelings for him and Crowfeather was already in denial.

- Squirrelflight had no idea what Leafpool saw in Crowfeather, but they brought out something beautiful in each of them. Feathertail had softened Crowfeather’s heart, but Leafpool opened it. And Leafpool … Squirrelflight didn’t know what Crowfeather did, but she saw something new in her sister that made her heart swell and ache.

- Squirrelflight and Brambleclaw decided they didn’t want to get married. Leafpool had just rejoined the clan after running away, and was considered a disgrace to the clan. Having her sister get married right after was … Squirrelflight didn’t want to go there. Instead, she and Brambleclaw got matching tattoos.

- When Leafpool found out she was pregnant, her whole world came crashing down. The clan was finally starting to trust her again, Firestar and Sandstorm had stopped looking at her with pitying looks, and the clan had stopped looking suspicious when she said she was going to collect herbs.

- Squirrelflight immediately sensed something wrong and got the truth out of Leafpool. She offered to help and told Firestar that they would be gone on a journey because Leafpool had a vision. They both hesitated at the idea of telling Crowfeather, but ultimately went to the Windclan border to see him. Leafpool was heartbroken and Squirrelflight was outraged when they found out that he was with Nightcloud.

- "HOW IN THE NAME OF STARCLAN DID CROWFEATHER GET 3 GIRLS?!" – Squirrelflight

- Jayfeather, Lionblaze, and Hollyleaf are triplets and grow up under the assumption of Squirrelflight and Brambleclaw as their parents.

- (You know how the rest goes)

- For a long time Jayfeather refused to have a cane to help him walk because he thought it would make others think he is weak because he is blind. It was only when he found “The Stick!” when he decided that that would be his cane. No exceptions.

- When Jayfeather officially became a medicine person his grandpa Firestar constantly came by to ask him if there were any herbs to cure his wrinkles. He even got Graystripe and the elders in on it to ask him if there are any herbs to cure their oldness. Jayfeather hates them a little more each time.

- Jayfeather learned to swear from Squirrelflight. She would curse, he would repeat it, and Brambleclaw would just be like, “Why?” Jayfeather gets immense joy whenever he makes Hollyleaf swear, she thinks she’s so much better than that.

- When Jayfeather was an apprentice he would be sent to the elder’s den to “think about what he’s done.” Jayfeather would seethe, but he eventually he actually liked being with the elders. He would sit and complain, and the elders would back him up 110%. Firestar regrets everything.

- Before, Jayfeather hated how he was defined by his blindness. Growing up, it made him bitter and desperate to prove himself. Now, he just wants the clan to remember he’s blind. He’s contantly asked if he can check something out, if he can read this writing, ect. The whole clan forgot he’s blind and he’s irritated at their stupidity.

- After Jayfeather got his full name Hollyleaf took the opportunity to gift him the feathers of a blue jay and spent time braiding them into his hair. Hollyleaf also has a holly tied into her ponytail. Lionblaze was feeling left out so they made him a bracelet.

- Lionblaze and Hollyleaf fought like cats and dogs when they were apprentices, and made it the whole clan’s problem. Sandstorm had to break up the fights because she was the only one they listened too.

- As much as they hate to admit it, the three of them feel a connection to Windclan. It happens with all half-clan, where they feel the longing towards one Clan while the other is drawn into the one they’re born in. Hollyleaf always felt this need to run, as fast and hard as she can. Jayfeather likes the open space, the vastness of the land and moor. Lionblaze likes the feeling of wind, how it can be gentle or harsh against his skin.

- Dovewing and Ivypool are twins and the younger cousins of Lionblaze, Hollyleaf, and Jayfeather (idk, maybe 2nd cousins or something). Lionblaze and Dovewing are best friends, Ivypool is Hollyleaf’s favorite cousin, and Jayfeather, well … it’s been 0 days since they last sassed Jayfeather

- They are heartbroken when they find out Hollyleaf is “dead” because they were just about to become apprentices and Hollyleaf promised to be there.

- Dovewing has always had enhanced hearing, so she always assumed that everyone can hear what she did but never talked about it. When she was younger, she would talk about faraway things she’d heard but everyone thought she was just imagining.

- Dovewing doesn’t get overwhelmed by the noises she can hear because she’s had her powers since she was born. She’s learned how to tune it out/in. However, she hates loud noises. They take her by surprise and makes her feel like her eardrums split open.

- When that happens she sometimes goes to Jayfeather to help her out. He has a calming presence and the quiet and gentle brushes of herbs soothe her. He doesn’t say anything and neither does she. There’s no need.

- Part of the reason that Ivypool became so jealous of Dovewing was that all of the sudden her cousins would have secret discussions with Dovewing and exclude her. Hollyleaf would never have done that if she was still alive.

- Ivypool used to have hair past her shoulders, but had it cut in a pixie style after a Dark Forest warrior pulled on it to expose her throat. After the Clans defeated the Dark Forest, she grew it out to her chin as a sign of healing and moving on.

- After they became warriors, Dovewing, Ivypool, Briarlight, and Blossomfall became roommates. After Briarlight’s accident she moved in with Jayfeather, but sometimes she comes in to have a girls night.

- Briarlight and Jayfeather are opposites but compliment each other in the best way. She is bright and happy and he’s calm and collected. Jayfeather is a pessimist and she’s an optimist.

- All of the medicine people from the Clans always ask about Briarlight, she has them wrapped around her finger. They always sneak extra sweets for her whenever they visit Jayfeather

- Briarlight considered it a personal win when she finally got Jayfeather admit that they were friends. Jayfeather was overwhelmed by the swell of happiness that radiated from her the rest of the day.

- They have a saying that they use when no one is around. Whenever one of them is having a bad day, they go and cheer each other up by saying, “I’ll be your legs.” “And I’ll be your eyes.” They help each other and its beautiful.

- Briarlight used to love singing and dancing when she had her legs, so when she lost them she was depressed. After Jayfeather helped her out of it, she began humming and singing again

- The first time Jayfeather heard her sing his head whipped around because it was the most beautiful sound he’s ever heard. And for the first time in forever, Briarlight was happy as she restocked herbs while singing.

- Jayfeather grumbles about the noise but still encourages her to sing because it’ll help clear her lungs. Secretly, he likes hearing her voice. Briarlight knows he likes it.

- Jayfeather has too much pride to actually confess his feelings and Briarlight is afraid to ruin their relationship. Both are so awkward with their feeling but they don’t even realize they act like a couple until Lionblaze or Dovewing points it out. Sometimes when Leafpool watches them she’s reminded of her and Crowfeather

Blooming Out of Death

Chapter 11

Word count: 957

Just as she suspected, Squirrelflight got no questions about the scratch on her muzzle. At most she got a concerned glance from her sister, and a sad, sympathetic look from Alderheart. That’s good , she thought to herself as the day drew to a close. I don’t need anyone to be asking about it .

It was nearly time to leave for the Gathering. Most of the warriors gathered in the center of the stone hollow, waiting for Bramblestar’s signal that it was time to leave. Only a few would be left behind in the camp tonight. Amidst the milling cats, Squirrelflight waited.

A yowl sounded from the ledge. The reaction was instantaneous; the group made their way over to the camp entrance, waiting only for Bramblestar to bound down from the ledge and take the lead, as they did every full moon. The huge tabby quickly made his way to the front, and the clan members set off on their trek to the island.

Like always, the young warriors played as though they were kits fresh out of the nursery on their journey, chasing after one another and leaping over felled branches. Squirrelflight watched with a small smile, remembering when she had been just as young and carefree.

Back on the quest to find the sun-drown place, there were no bounds to her mischief. Now she was deputy, laden down with responsibility and stature; she could allow no room in her life for mischief.

Still, she decided she ought to let the young warriors enjoy their adolescence a while longer, or at least until they reached the border. Then she would remind them they were representing Thunderclan, and should be on their best behavior.

“Onestar,” a loud deep voice called from the front as they reached the tree bridge at last; it was quite clear Bramblestar was the one speaking. “Harespring, good to see you both. I trust Windclan is well?”

“You will hear how Windclan is doing when the gathering starts, Bramblestar,” Onestar remarked, his tone cold and standoffish as always. It was hard to imagine he had once been friends with a Thunderclan cat.

With Onestar’s dismissal of conversation, the two clans began to cross over the bridge, warriors from each scrambling across the slick surface side by side, their adversity forgotten for one night. One warrior in particular caught Squirrelflight’s eye. Crowfeather.

She and Crowfeather had become acquainted on the quest to find their home beside the lake, back when they were both apprentices. She even felt a certain fondness for the prickly Windclan warrior, and was quite certain he felt the same, even if he was not as vocal about it as the other cats who had been on the quest.

For once, that fondness he felt for the Thunderclan deputy showed, as an expression of concern shrouded his face upon the sight of her injury. Squirrelflight simply gave him a weary smile and attempted to lose herself amidst the crowd of cats waiting to cross. When she got to the end of the bridge, she found him waiting there. She attempted to duck her head and pass by, as rude as it seemed, to avoid talking about it, but he was not deterred.

“Squirrelflight,” he greeted her. “How do you do?” He leaped up onto the end of the fallen tree, turning back to watch her expectantly.

The ginger she-cat followed suit, aware she would not be getting out of the conversation. “Well enough,” she replied. “Busy as ever.” She dug her claws into the bark, careful not to fall. “And you?” She asked, hoping to keep the subject off her.

“As well as I can be,” he said dismissively. “I serve my clan to the best of my ability, therefore, life is good.” He glanced at her muzzle. “Are you sure you are well?”

Squirrelflight was silent for a moment, then let out a tense laugh. “Oh, are you worried about this?” She swiped a paw over her face, brushing over the scratch. “It was an accident. On of the younger warriors was a bit too enthusiastic about battle training.” With a dismissive wave of her tail, she began to pad along the trunk.

The dark tom followed a pawstep behind. “Surely they should know better than to unsheathe their claws. If you had been any more unlucky, they could’ve blinded you.” His tone was more pressing and inquisitive than accusatory.

Squirrelflight glazed over her shoulder at him. “It’s honestly not an issue, Crowfeather, and while I appreciate your concern, it was simply an accident.” She emphasized the last few words, hoping he’d realize that was final.

Crowfeather scowled at her tone, looking more like his usual self. “I believe you Squirrelflight. Still, if you need help, I am here; I realize we aren’t clanmates, but we still have a bond.”

Stunned into silence, Squirrelflight stared at him for a moment. He must be serious , she thought. After all, he tries so hard to prove he’s loyal to Windclan . After an awkward pause she nodded.

The two old friends made the rest of the way across the bridge in silence, Crowfeather seemingly satisfied, and Squirrelflight lost in her own thoughts. At the other shore, she mewed a polite goodbye and made her way to the deputies’ place at the foot of the Great Oak. The gathering was commencing, but she felt a million miles away. Unable to pay attention to the leaders speaking, she let her thoughts wander until the gathering had finished and she was pulled back to the world around her. It seemed as quickly as they had gotten there, the gathering was over, and it was time to return to their respective clans until the next full moon truce.

I was originally gonna do the ‘Draw Your Favorite Warriors ____’ challenge but there were so many ships that I liked that I decided to just draw all my favorite ships instead! I think all of these are not canon but honestly in Warriors the best ships are the ones that aren’t real. (Also side note, I have multiple ships with a same character, that’s because I don’t ever really have a ‘favorite’ ship and I often like multiple ships)

I've got a rough outline of the Trial of Squirrelflight's Horror in mind with some neat new deets, let me toss them together so you can see what I'm trying to do here. I'll also post a "Wanted Ad" of traits the cat needs to display

But to quickly answer directly; Yes, Clerics can be lawyers. However, Cinderpelt might not fit specifically, because this lawyer needs to be equally antagonistic as well as protagonistic. This won't be a Lizardstripe situation.

BEFORE THE TRIAL;

Squirrelflight's Horror is a book that is setting up the events of TBC.

First of all, it's setting up how no one immediately caught Bramblestar being replaced by an impostor. He is not a popular leader, with a long list of controversial choices.

(unfortunately, the fact he was suddenly good at making names stood out more than his cruelty.)

Second of all, we're going to set up some tumult in StarClan.

When Squirrelflight and Leafpool die this time, it's actually their uncle Iceheart who "fetches" them.

He died in the Battle of the True Eclipse, having a rematch with Tigerstar. So they haven't seen him in a while.

From him, they learn there's been delays in StarClan cats coming up and down. But he'll walk them up. (Iceheart replaces a cat named Blade completely.)

Squirrelflight really doesn't want to go, since her grandson Hollylark (from Fallenleaf x Cinderheart) just died, leaving her apprentice Sparkpelt (from Bramblestar x Jessy) alone with newborns.

There's also been a couple shuffles in the cats they meet up in StarClan, let me go over them;

Squirrelflight is barren and had a miscarriage, back in Po3. She was only a moon pregnant (equiv: 4-ish months in a human)

She never gets back with Bramblestar after his treatment in BB!OoTS, he has Spark and Alder with Jessie.

SOOO I don't actually have a place for Dandelionkit and Juniperkit because I really do not want BB to have Angel Fetus Children like canon lmaooo

Flickerkit and Larksong are here though! Their new names are Flickerflame (starclan-given) and Hollylark (to show that Larksong and Hollytuft have been combined).

Shrewpaw, now Shrewface, has been Squirrelflight's guardian angel for her whole life. She learns this here.

When apprentices and kits die, they get full names and the ability to choose the age they appear as, barring certain circumstances.

Hollyleaf, now Fallenleaf, is not dead so she is not here.

Squirrelflight's mentor was Goldenflower, not Dustpelt. They are BOTH here though.

When Squilf and Leafpool get to StarClan, they learn that they've lived VERY controversial lives, and now need to be judged. That brings us to...

LEAFPOOL'S TRIAL

Actually does not go over as harshly as it did in canon. Squilf is going to be the one getting interrogated, sorry girlie

The main purpose of this one is to show how the trials work for Squilf later. I'm also planning for the same Lawyer who handles Leaf to handle Squilf too.

However, Leafpool is still grilled. The line, "Why do you think you're worthy of StarClan?" is used.

Breaking the code to be with Crowfeather is brought up, countered with "she came back and stayed, because the Clan did not have a Cleric."

When the Three are brought up, it's addressed with the Queen's Rights. She "did what she was supposed to," giving her children to Squirrelflight to raise.

She spent her whole life obeying, even at personal pain to herself, and served her Clan loyally despite momentary lapses in judgement.

It was a traumatic thing to go through, but still results in an easy ruling; Worthy of StarClan.

Leafpool chooses to stay in StarClan, and they watch her body die down on Earth, plus the following vigil

Squilf's Trial is a lot more complicated.

SQUIRRELFLIGHT'S TRIAL

Fire Alone, as an ideology, involves a TON of codebreaking... which she has done, often. Especially during the events of Squirrelflight's Horror where she has been forced to defy Bramblestar's direct orders several times

She's lived her whole life with the knowledge that unjust laws MUST be defied.

I think she should also kill someone in defense of the Sisters tbh. Like let's really make this worse than canon and give them something worth interrogating her about. WAS it okay to kill that person in defense of someone outside the Code?

It's not just Squirrelflight that's in question here; it's Fire Alone itself. WILL StarClan accept the idea that the Code applies to outsiders as well?

VERY IMPORTANT: This is why I do not want the Lawyer to be someone who is a Fire Alone supporter. Squirrelflight is defending it, AND herself

Iceheart, Firestar, Sandstorm, Bluestar, and all of her allies grow more and more agitated as the Trial goes on. Her enemies do as well.

Before the ruling, the entire jury is in a FEVER PITCH. Thunderstar, the Judge, cannot roar loud enough to get them all to quiet down. In fact, he makes it worse

Ashfur is one of the named "enemies" of Squirrelflight, and one of the loudest for her damnation.

The court cannot calm down enough to cast a ruling. It's starting to break out in actual fighting, Squirrelflight casts a glance at Leafpool

She's trying to yell that she needs to go home, people need her, she doesn't have time for this

And then she feels a squeeze on her ankle

Yowling with alarm, Squirrelflight feels herself sliding down into the clouds, away from the furious chaos that is engulfing StarClan. It becomes a shining speck on the horizon as if she's falling out of a dream

She's screaming for Leafpool, reaching out her claws for StarClan, convinced that she's just been damned and is being dragged down to the Dark Forest

BACK ON EARTH

She awakens in her nest, back in her body

With her son Jayfeather next to her.

As she stirs and begins to raise her head, she hears Lionblaze bellow, "YOU GLORIOUS BASTARD YOU REALLY DID IT!!" before dogpiling her

Jayfeather looks surprised that it worked at all at first, before huffing proudly

Jayfeather: "never ask me for anything ever again"

The last of a golden glow fades from his eyes; he has used the last drop of power he had left. He later shares that he doesn't think it would have worked if Squilf hadn't still been hanging on.

Fallenleaf rushes in next, followed by grandchild Ivypool, her first apprentice Rosepetal, her best friend Daisy, and by that point the Cleric's den is bursting.

Bramblestar is poking his head in, but realizes pretty quickly that he is Not Welcome, and stares longingly.

After her cuddles and hugs, Squirrelflight brings up Sparkpelt. She NEEDS to see Sparkpelt. Sparkpelt needs to know she's okay, and that her mate and poisoned child reached StarClan.

SO... LAWYER WANTED AD:

The lawyer can't be someone who's entirely on Squirrelflight's side. It's someone who is challenging her, but not entirely unsympathetic.

It needs to be someone she knew in life. Lawyers are never people who are strangers, which rules out Yellowfang who I had been heavily considering.

Ideally it's the same lawyer between Squilf and Leafp, just so we can spend plenty of time with the character and use Leaf's trial to show their personality.

Hmm.... you know, now that I'm thinking about it... what if it was ASHFUR?

Maybe even have him blackmailing Squilf... "I'll be fair, for you, of course... just promise to do whatever I say, and I'll save your sister. This is your chance to make up for everything you did to me..."

That could be pretty fun. AND be good setup for BB!TBC.

Hello I was wondering if you had anything in your head about Squirrel and Crow in your universe? Their dynamic, any hcs? 👀

Im taking this as a chance to rant about these two bec i lov them

Its already established that they r mates in this au and their dynamic is very much, flirting via playfully bullying each other and being competitive. A lot of cats who don't know them would think they just have a rivalry going lol

They will often be spotted having play arguments during gatherings, but if any cat says something rude or tries to argue with one of them, the other will come to bat for their mate immediately.

It should also be noted that Crow rarely ever smiles, except when he’s with Squilf and his other friends :)

Crow is on the aroace spectrum and Squilf is the only cat he has ever had true romantic love for, and it flabbergasted him when it happened

They didn't get together until after the journey, and them getting together was made difficult by Crow starting to isolate himself when he realized that they would have to separate into different Orders again. Squlf yelled at him for it until he admitted he loved her hehe

Crow makes Squirrel braided grass adornments which she keeps in her nest and she wears a grass tail bracelet from him every day.

Squilf also brings Crow flowers for him to wear because she knows he likes the colors of the ones that grow on Thunder territory.

After Squirrel got pregnant with Holly they kind of separated, out of fear that Holly’s true father would be found out, and also out of fear that Falcon and Jay would be found out to be neither of their kits. They still obviously loved each other but they didnt meet up at the border as often, and more so just kept to talking at the gatherings.

After the Code was changed to allow inter order relationships, and travel and friendship between orders, Crow and Squirrel visit each other constantly, and will often spent half their time in the other’s Order (Crow leaves his apprentices to keep up Healer duties). and its during this time that they have Alder and Spark!

I am also going to have Hollyleaf survive, so she and her parents get to have a relationship and Holly actually becomes very close to both of them :’)

The Squirrel/Crow fic has progressed slightly, but I haven’t gotten into the groove of writing it yet. So far I’ve whittled the ideas down to one I’m gonna go with, but I’m still getting caught on the details (who likes who first? is the feather-crow crush still canon? do they both know they like each other, or does one of them figure it out in the moment?)

One version of a vague outline idea:

Squirrelpaw has a crush on Crowpaw

Crow has a crush on Feathertail

Squirrel sneaks off one night in the tribe cat’s territory (during the six-cat journey) bc she’s pent up. (It’s a smut fic but imma try to be not too lewd when explaining)

Crow cant sleep and goes for a walk. He notices Squirrel’s voice and thinks, then starts to walk towards the noise, worried that she’s hurt. He thinks he hears his voice being called.

He stumbles across her and is surprised, but casually offers to assist her (windclan cats are a bit more relaxed than thunderclan when it comes to mating and relationships) “unless you want me to get brambleclaw?” he offers genuinely.

Squirrel is flustered and confused. “why would I want—“ she realizes that crow didn’t hear her saying his name moments before he came into view. (he did, he just assumed he misheard) “oh, right.”

Then my writing peters out and I’m not sure where to go. Perhaps he develops a crush on her as he ‘helps’ her? Perhaps he realizes that while he admires Feathertail, he loves the back-and-forth banter that squirrel and him have.

But I’m still not sure if it fits at all. I could make it two sided, or one sided, or mutual pining, or something else but I’m a bit stuck.

I’ve written a little bit of a bunch of different ideas, but I can’t lock onto one.

Sorry for the rambling!!! Long story short, too many options and not sure. The requester didn’t give much info aside from “crow/squirrel first time” so I’m really not sure where to go.

I kinda have just one of those batshit insane warrior cat aus where I swapped tigerclaw and goldenflowers roles, along with tigerclaws kids. So like Tawnypelt and brambleclaw are swapped and renamed Tawnyfower and Bramblepelt, and then Mothwing and Hawkfrost for Mothstalk (I don’t rlly have a set name for her yet 💀) and Hawkfeather.

It’s basically spiraled out of control where I combined like ALL of my side line aus into that one so mothpool is canon but in an enemies to lovers way, Squirrelcrow are the threes bio parents and tawnyflower is covering for squirrelflight as the biological other parent

I might have a vague power of three/omen of the stars au brewing in my brain because I am way to far behind in the series to actively try and catch up so here are my basic ideas.

Three is Four from the start because God that plot point was stupid and I hate it and it added needless drama when we all knew it was Firestar because it's always Firestar. The four are Jayfeather, Lionblaze, Hollyleaf and Breezepelt because drama but wait there's more.

Squirrel x Crow who have Holly and Breeze. Ashfur is just a dude not an asshole, he dated Squilf for a week but could see she was unhappy because she was in love with someone else and let's her go. Now Brambleclaw is the asshole because I don't like him.

Hawk x Leaf but it wasn't a serious thing looking back on it, more like a summertime fling that resulted in children being Jay and Lion. Hawkfrost is just a little ambitious, has a good relationship with Mothwing, fully supports his ex and sister being in love and tells awful puns.

Holly and Breeze are raised in Thunderclan, Crowfeather lives there with them and Brackenfur is deputy instead of Brambleclaw because as much as Firestar doesn't want to admit it, Bramble is an asshole and Sandstorm yells at him whenever he is remotely rude to Squirrelflight. Holly is mentored by Ashfur who becomes like a fun uncle and Breeze is mentored by Brightheart because fuck you Firestar you promised her an apprentice.

Holly becomes Hollyfur in honour of her mentor because Ashfur is just a cool dude and her power is being able to sense when cats are lying and occasionally, forcing the truth out of them. Her early arch is learning when to call out lying and when to let it slide.

Breeze becomes Breezeflight after his mother and gets Dovewing's power because it's there, might as well use it.

Lion and Jay are raised in Riverclan because they deserve POV chapters and it's the clans best kept secret that they're Leafpool's kits but after that whole Tigerclan incident they all collectively agree to keep quiet about it and Hawk becomes a den dad in the nursery and even after his kits are grown he stops by to help the queens when he can.

Lion is terrified of his power especially because he has nightmares about being like Tigerstar and begs Mothwing to let him be her apprentice, she agrees. Lion's power is still the same but he figures out he can use it more defensively than offensively, if there's a battle he's there acting as a shield while he heals. He's named Lionflower because pretty name.

Jay is a lot happier, he's not forced into being a medicine cat and it's only really the queens and younger cats who worry over him. He gets to be a warrior and is mentored by Reedwhisker (Pouncepaw is mentored by Blackclaw instead) his power is the same as in the books and he occasionally helps his brother out with starclan symbols and prophecies, he gets to have secret meeting with his brother as well and is named Jaystep.

Certain Starclan cats (the loudest being Goosefeather) tell the more involved spirits to back the fuck up and let them be kits. But no one trusts Bluestar, Yellowfang and Spottedleaf to behave so they all get a Starclan assigned bodyguard/spiritual mentor

Hollyclaw gets Whitestorm

Breezeflight gets Thrushpelt

Lionflower gets Oakheart

Jaystep gets Crookedstar

EDIT: I have unintentionally implied that both of Bluestar's "romantic partners" and her nephew are away that she will not stay away from the Four and I love it.

Also Crookedstar yells at any Starclan cat who says Jaystep belongs as a medicine cat (cough cough Spottedleaf and Yellowfang)
