📽️ America’s Sweethearts (2001)

I think I’ve mentioned before that I had a thing for John Cusack. Well, I actually did not like him much in this movie. I didn’t like his character, and he kinda gave me the ick for a little while after I watched this. I think it was all the sexual jokes to try to make up for the lack of any real substance (it didn’t work). I really don’t know why, because normally I like this type of movie, but this one kind of infuriated me. I hate movies that could be solved by just a little communication. It’s annoying. And Billy Crystal’s character was probably the worst, but I don’t think I’ve ever liked him in anything besides the Princess Bride. Anyway, that’s my two cents in this one. Oh, and by the way, I’m back to liking John Cusack; just remind me not to watch this again.

Sex/nudity: 4/10 (kissing, sex talk, implied sex, many sexual jokes and innuendoes)

Language: 3/10 (one f-word, many others)

Violence: 3/10 (dog attack, murderous dream, a hit resulting in a black eye, mostly played for laughs)

Bunnie: Crystals of Light, Brittany Robinson's first original series, is currently being revamped due to vaild criticism. There aren't any episode previews yet, but we do get to see the character redesigns, sone new characters and more info about the planets.

I love these new designs and the new characters! To be honest, I didn't like it at first because of Bunnie's old new look. But I'm glad she changed it. It looks a lot better!

Where did Victor discovered the blood stones/crystals/quarts?

Greetings Anon ^^

I like to think that Victor found them in the past, in an isolated location in Duststorm Valley, a place that is not, easy to access but he went there anyways, in the hopes he might find there a gold vein that had yet to be discovered, if there would have been any, he would have sold the claim quickly.

But there was barley to none gold there, Victor hit a rock with a pickax or a rock hammer discovering the bright shiny red gemstone inside, that immediately reminded him of the eyes of Margaret. Instead of selling his claim, he kept the location a secret, usually he didn't mind mining operations but, in this case he liked the idea that it was his "secret spot" where he always could go to get more of the Blood stones/crystals/gems/quartz without anyone else knowing about this place, except for Margaret.

He took a "few" samples with him, some which Victor used to commission jewelry made out of them for his wife and some keeping around because even in their natural state they looked nice. He liked the idea to present with gemstones and jewelry, that apparently the whole world didn't know about, it was a nice thought for Victor to present his wife with something, no one else had. In a way the jewelries are unique presents. At one point he showed one of those samples to Joanna, who could immediately feel the magic the sample radiated, Joanna saw that those stones bear great potential...but also that in the wrong hands they could be abused, so she asked Victor not to tell anyone, who was ok with it because he wasn't going to anyways.

Joanna meanwhile is taking a few small samples, conduction experiments with them, they appear to react strongly, and well with blood magic if used carefully.

Can you do a JasonxReader where the reader graduated college and Jason finds a special way to celebrate?

It was all finally over. You’re a college graduate now. Seems like it was only yesterday that you started this journey, but it has finally come to an end.

You felt strange, happy and sad at the same time, stressed with finals and your thesis presentation, and all the planning for the graduation ceremony occupying your head. 

And Jason noticed, and stood by you through everything, helped you with anything, and stood there with the biggest smile on his face watching you walk on stage to get your diploma.

After lunch with your parents and an afternoon spent with your friends, Jason was ready to have you just to himself. “Psh” you heard him whistle at you, immediately turning around to find him hiding in a corner, head poking outside just enough to get your attention. Checking to see if nobody had noticed, you sneaked away in his direction.

“What are you doing?” you asked, amusement evident in your voice as you watched him fill his backpack with food and champagne bottles.

“Rescuing us.” he answered, grabbing your hand and dragging you out of your friend’s apartment. 

Laying your head on his lap, giggles filling the air as the empty champagne bottles decorated the makeshift picnic blanket you’d made out of curtain Jason had stolen from your friend’s house, you two watched the moon rise from the now deserted Robinson Park. Jason’s fingers playing with your hair, as you stuffed the last bits of cake into your and his mouth.

“I’m so fucking proud of you, babe.“ he blurted out.

“Stop it.” you told him, feeling the redness climb up your cheeks for the millionth time today. “I just got a degree.”

“And I’m not supposed to be proud of this? I’m not supposed to be proud my girlfriend is a fucking genious? That she’s now a graduated boss bitch?” he said, holding your face in his hands and spreading kisses all over it.

“Stop, Jay.” you moaned, not holding back the laughs from coming out.

“No!” he screamed, tangling his body on yours and rolling you both on the “blanket”.

You spent some time like that, tangled in each other, cuddling under the moonlight, between kisses and laughter, and many more “I'm proud of you” from your very proud boyfriend.

“I have something for you.” he told you, reaching for a pocket in his backpack and taking out of it a large velvet box. “I thought of you as soon as I saw it.”

Sitting back up, you took the box from his hands and carefully opened it, feeling by it’s weight it was something much more expensive than you were used to gifting each other. You wanted to complain, to tell him you didn’t need his expensive gifts, that just these moments you got to spend with him was enough to make you happy. But opening the box left you in awe, and all thoughts of complaint left your mind.

There laid a thin delicate gold necklace, adorned with pearls and tiny crystals that sparkled brighter than the moon itself. It was ethereal, a piece of jewelry you’d never seen before and you couldn’t have ever imagined. “Jay, I-I…” you tried, but no words formed on your lips.

“Yes, you can. It’s yours, it’s my graduation present. So please, Yn, take it.” Looking up at him, his eyes reinforced his wish for you to take his present and you could not deny. Taking it from the box, you dropped it in his hands.

“Can you put it on me?” you asked, turning around so your back hit his chest. His soft touch tickled your skin, putting the accessory  in place and laying a kiss at nape of your neck, arms soon engulfing you in a tight embrace as his lips continuously met the sensitive area behind your ear.

“I’ll forever be proud of you, princess. Even if you think it’s not worth it, that it might be a small achievement, I’ll be proud. Because I know you are bound to greatness and it’s my biggest happiness to watch you succeed, and I want to be there every step of the way by your side. I love you, and I know you can do anything you want. So yes, I’ll be proud of it, of every little thing, of every silly thing. Because I love you, Yn, more than anything in this world.”

i have not seen a single person talk about colin robinson giving gizmo a crystal plaque. yeah, it was from a random sale and had someone else's name on it... but clearly colin knows what that symbolizes for humans. he genuinely gave him a plaque for a job well done as their familiar/bodyguard after the exit interview. which means a lot because we've all seen how they usually treated non-gizmo familiars before. also they were all so sure nandor was gonna kill him so it was so sweet of him to give gizmo something like that. i couldnt have imagined earlier seasons/pre-death colin robinson doing that for him.

Ok I think the main motif of the season 5 promo pics is supposed to be dreams/sleeping. From the simplistic nighttime aesthetic to the bedtime story-esque character promos they've been posting, and of course the icons they put with each character tying into dream meanings that line up pretty well.

From what I can gather for dream meanings:

Colin Robinson, Glasses- needing a new perspective/to see things clearly (could tie into his whole loss of childhood memory thing but thats a bit of a stretch, i think his is more literal)

Laszlo, Lute- good news from a friend you love very much but is long gone (???? Could also be more literal but if not thats very concerning)

Nadja, Crystal Ball- looking within to find your true destiny/future (she is going back to her roots and longs for a sense of purpose...)

Nandor, Swords- power and authority, or a choice you must make that could lead to either good or very bad consequences. Changes meanings depending on one's character (he is very "could be amazing or go horribly wrong depending on what he chooses to do in a given situation" kind of character)

Guillermo, Telescope/Spyglass- seeing the bigger picture, adjusting focus, or desire for someone/something that may not be right for you (yeah that sums him up to a T)

The Guide, Crescent Moon- professional growth and an increase in recognition, or an unconscious pull towards something (SHE'S MOVING UP IN THE WORLD I'm so proud of her fr!)

That all raises the question: Why a dream motif? It could be that this season deals with crushed dreams (we know that might be the case for Guillermo but that was more true for the other characters last season), or maybe there's a plotline this season that deals with dreams in the more literal sense? Does the Guide's symbol being the moon have significance, in that she has the biggest arc of the season (please let her go either full villain or full main character by the end of the season)?? Or they just liked the aesthetic, who knows. But still, much to think about...

i just cannot stop thinking about laszlo taking colin robinson to see the baby rhinos. there's so much more to talk about this episode but this is the only thing that matters to me right now. laszlo was crystal clear he Did Not sign up for becoming a parent, but man did he give it everything he got. they seriously snuck into the zoo multiple times to see little baby rhinos because they both enjoyed it and because laszlo knew it made colin happy. and now colin's not even going to remember it. i want to cry
