Never, ever, let anyone tell you what you can and can't do. Prove the cynics wrong. Pity them for they have no imagination. The sky's the limit. Your sky. Your limit. Now. Let's dance.

Love being like a fire makes a lot of sense.
It sucks your oxygen away and leaves you empty.

Can you draw a full body image of both Cynique and Cynic.
I am working on a better/updated version (including all the androgynous, masc!cynic and fem!cynic/cynique version of our favorite girlypop), but in the meantime this is an old ref sheet of cynic's hero form!

I will say that, in other incarnations, I'll try to lean closer in to the more dusky browns of real life coyotes in other designs (Karra's signature color isn't really truly 'gray', that's just often what you get when you mix all of her true form/alebrije form colors into a guinea-pig sized container), but for Claudia specifically, she is always some version of warm gray (usually to contrast with Adrien/Chat's cool grays)
All of the rectangles/holsters on her knees, thighs and upper arms were meant to be holsters for her various combat knives, by the way. In the updated ref I'll make sure to point these out better (and... well.. draw them better too). The knife holsters are slowly becoming less of a necessary part of the design, though, as I feel like it would also be neat if she just pulled all of them out of her vest rather than just some of them.

Sun, Moon, And Stars.
In the sun's warmth I see her face The shine of her smile and the glint in her eyes I've only ever once seen a soul and it was through her eyes it happened
In the moon's glow I hear her voice caress my ears in silence All I can hear are fragmented whispers over laying on top of each other It sounds like static
In the stars distant twinkle I see her body in front me. I watch a shadow dance in her shoes. But the details aren't there. But they are all within the realms of my imgination

Hence the custom among the Scythians of plucking out a cynic's eyes to improve his vision.

Diogenes
Jean-Léon Gérôme (French, 1824-1904)
1860
oil on canvas
The Greek philosopher Diogenes (404-323 BC) is seated in his abode, the earthenware tub, in the Metroon, Athens, lighting the lamp in daylight with which he was to search for an honest man. His companions were dogs that also served as emblems of his "Cynic" (Greek: "kynikos," dog-like) philosophy, which emphasized an austere existence. Three years after this painting was first exhibited, Gerome was appointed a professor of painting at the Ecole des Beaux-Arts where he would instruct many students, both French and foreign.

The strangest and most fantastic fact about negative emotions is that people actually worship them.

I'm either a cynic who believes love is a concept long-past, inaccessible to humans today; or a soft-hearted romantic who just wants to be held. Sometimes both on the same day.

There once were two sisters.
Sympathy and cyanide.
Sympathy was nice and kind and beautiful.
But soon she died from cyanide.
Because cyanide is toxic.
Don't be a cyanide.
