A rainy afternoon in Hang Mua by Stephen Pham
Via Flickr:
We are visiting Vietnam this week. For the Thanksgiving day, we took a day trip from Hanoi to Ninh Binh, where it is considered as Ha Long Bay on land. The weather was wet and miserable but we were able to climb the 500 steps to the mountain top of Hang Mua. The view from there was well worth our efforts. If you zoom in on the steps, you might be able to see a few other souls braving the rain and wind also.

The Rock of Cashel
Co. Tipperary, Ireland.
The structures on the site date back to the mid 12th to the mid 13th century.
The former seat of the Kings of Munster, the land was donated to the church after the Norman invasion in the early 12th century. The site is rich with history and in fact is somewhat unique in-so-far as its past has met the present in the form of a still active graveyard on the property. If I recall correctly, there is still one person still alive that has a plot waiting for them upon their earthly demise.
Very cool in my opinion.
How can ya not love history?
Let's go exploring.
