A xenogender based off of the recent Lunime game; Gacha Life 2.

The three shades of purples represent customisation, options and the white represents endlessness — to have an ever expanding and changing appearance or identity.

Though, the identity is not primarily based on the stripes meaning; as long as it connected to Gacha Life 2 in some way. This may mean GL2gender can be used as an umbrella term for something more specific in the game, or whatever other interpretation comes of this. I am very welcome to hearing about the said interpretations.

your blog is lifeblood m8 Honestly, that Angels of Death and Grief one? Props to you and the OG asker for that shit, unique and fuckin cool ngl.

Could I get some more content with that?? I want a more in-depth thing about Spirit's thoughts/feelings about Kid, maybe just a couple weeks after the whole shebang-pop-orphan ta-da! Situation, ya know? Maybe all the death scythes are trying to figure out what to do and Spirit goes OFF about the unfairness of this shit.

I like to think Spirit is like, an uncle to Kid, ya know? Like they were super close before everything went down.

Heck yeah! There was a lot of detail that the og asker gave me, it was great and I loved writing for it, so I'm happy to expand further into it!

Angels of Death and Grief au: Spirit and DtK

Spirit had been involved with the family of reapers for many years now. He knew all the ins and outs of being a death scythe, and thus, a lot about what it meant to be a reaper. When his (ex) wife got Spirit to the point he was at now, Lord Death was very transparent about what it meant to become a weapon for a reaper, and what can happen when one dies unexpectedly.

When everyone was dividing up the regions they would be at, the other death scythes didn’t think much of spirit and thus, figured he’d be shipped out to the easiest job. Lord Death insisted however, that Spirit stay by his side instead. This shocked everyone, but it was a relief to him. Not only would he be close to his little girl, Maka, but Spirit had also grown attached to Lord Death’s youngest son- Death the Kid. Kid was very quirky but he was fun to look after. 

That was why the situation at hand was so devastating. Kid had lost his father and older brother out of the blue. The two had gone on a mission and Spirit was babysitting Kid at the time. He witnessed the sudden burst of power that Kid had received- the power that completely destroyed who he used to be. At first, Spirit had no clue what was happening, but after Kid finally collapsed to the ground, large wings blanketing his small frame and the lines of Sanzu formed completely, though completely distorted around his head, Spirit realized the horrific reality of the situation. Lord Death and Asura had both been killed.

He got into contact with the other death scythes right away and after a detailed search of the area the two reapers had gone to, the death scythes all came back empty handed. There wasn’t even a body or trace of their existence left anywhere in the area. It was time to move on to the next subject at hand. What would happen to Kid and the DWMA? At this point, they needed Kid there to help run it so people could continue to collect souls and become death scythes. He couldn’t enforce everything though, could he?

“Why don’t I stay and take over? There’s no way that Kid will be able to handle his father’s position,” Azusa suggests.

“We can’t take over! This position is made for our Lords of Death! It would be blasphemous for us to steal this position. Whatever our new lord brings, we must accept it as it comes,” Justin Law, the newest of the death scythes says.

Spirit becomes more and more aggravated as these other death scythes, people who have barely interacted with Kid, try to argue over what his fate will be. There’s continuous back and forth on giving Kid no agency or forcing him to accept all responsibilities that his father and brother left behind. 

As voices start to pile on top of each other, Spirit eventually snaps.

“Will all of you shut the hell up for two minutes and actually think about what you’re saying?” he yells.

The others stop and turn their attention to him.

“This situation is bullshit. Kid’s family just died and we don’t even have a hint of how it happened. You have no idea what he’s going through right now. Do you remember what happens to reapers when their kin die too soon? To put it bluntly, it completely fucks them up. Kid has more power now than he was ever intended to have, and maybe biologically he knows what happened, but he is in denial. 

What he needs right now isn’t a total wiping of his responsibilities, nor is it his job to take on everything that’s left behind now. He’s a grieving child, but he isn’t incapable. What he needs right now is stability. This is what’s going to happen, alright? All of you will go back to running your regions. I’ll stay here with Kid and he will keep the duties he has now as a young reaper. I’ll take on what I can and so will all of you. We will slowly release these tasks to Kid as he grows accustomed to what he’s dealing with now. I will look after him and take care of him, because unlike any of you, I actually know him. This situation is bullshit, but don’t you dare try to screw this kid over just because you don’t know how to handle grief.”

Everyone is stunned into silence, but Marie is the first to speak.

“That’s very mature of you, Spirit. I think that will be a great plan for Kid. You might not have much luck with women, but you’ve always been a good father,” she tells him.

Spirit sighs and rubs his temples.

“...Thanks for that, Marie,” he says, his tone frustrated at the half-compliment half-insult.

After hashing out the details, the other death scythes leave and Spirit goes to the room that Kid has been staying in. He knocks on the door and after he gets a quiet response, Spirit slowly slips into the room.

Kid is curled up on the bed, absently poking and prodding his wings.

“Hey Kid, can I talk to you for a bit?” 

“What is it?” 

Since the deaths of his family, Kid had been speaking in the language of the reapers. A language only known by reapers and their weapons. Spirit takes a deep breath, figuring out how he wants to voice the situation to him. He sits down next to him and reaches out, smoothing out some of the feathers on his wings.

“So, you know that your dad and brother went on a mission, right?”

Kid perks up.

“Have they returned?”

Spirit pauses.

“No. Not yet. They actually wanted you to know that they’ll be gone for a long time. That’s why you got the sudden burst of power that you did.”

Kid hadn’t been receptive whenever Spirit tried to explain that his family was actually dead. He was trying to find ways to phrase the situation so Kid wouldn’t shut down.

“Oh… do you know when they’ll be back?”

“No, they didn’t tell me. It could be a really long time, over a year or even longer.”

“Oh…”

“They didn’t know they would be gone so long. So, you know how they have a lot of work that they do?”

“Of course! Father is always busy with one thing or another.”

“Exactly! Well, they were hoping that you would be able to take over some of those jobs while they’re gone. Since they won’t be at the academy for awhile, they need another reaper to take over. Would you be willing to do that for them?”

Kid’s breathing starts to quicken and he sits up, giving Spirit a panicked look.

“They want me to take over the academy? I can’t do that! I don’t have the slightest clue what they do to keep this school running,” he cries.

“Hey, hey, hey! It’s alright! They don’t want you to take over everything. The only other thing you will need to do right now is keep track of the souls students have collected. The other death scythes and I will take care of those other nitty gritty things.”

Kid takes a deep breath and starts to calm down.

“I suppose I can handle that. If that will help my family. Will you be here too, Spirit? You aren’t leaving on the mission too, are you?”

“I’m staying here, Kid. I’m not gonna leave you. I’ll always be here to help you,” Spirit tells him and reaches out to ruffle Kid’s already messy hair.

Kid launches forward, clinging to Spirit and his heart breaks even more for this child. He hugs him back and gently rubs his back.

“It’s okay, Kiddo. I’m here for you.”

They only killed out of jealousy and anger. Long story short their kingdom got the short end of the stick in the resources category, and they were going to marry marcello so the fertile jungle would be accessible. Unfortunately, Marcello's parents set him up with silas. their culture is fairly violent and they had a wave of 'i have free will.' and well.

I gave them a gun because magician-coded/high fantasy characters with guns is so <3 (<- is Roxy kin/ is Eridan kin/ is Jade kin/ is DTK kin/ is Alto Clef ki-)
