We’ve seen companies adopt a variety of strategies to strengthen their password protection strategy, including manual review on any account, use of randomly generated passwords in addition to standard way with biometric features on accounts, and other advanced techniques like multi-factor authentication. But what about the practice of using passwords that are more secure than they appear? How can you effectively manage your passwords while maintaining high levels of confidence in them? There are several factors that make it difficult to have high levels of confidence in our passwords, such as frequency with which we use them, age, purpose and history associated with them, amount of time we spend with our accounts and number of attempts before we crack an password. DA - back to normal edition
Things feel like they’re back to normal today, even if I’m still a little bummed about this week’s Mando (see my rant called Mando ep 13 if you want to know more). Still, my own personal branch of the Mando Universe (I’m going to call it Jobs-verse) is ticking along. Almost 2K words in #10 as of tonight. I’ll post all of #8 when I next post for Mando -- it’s an Interlude meant to cover the overview of a timejump I didn’t want to cover in detail. It’s only 2.2k, but the #9 is a full Job and will be in four parts. Not sure when I’m posting #8 -- Tuesday, maybe? Depends on what it looks like when I do a read-through again tonight. I may need to edit some things in or out, and that may delay it.
That said, i’ll definitely start posting for Dincember on time, which is not set in the Job-verse. It allowed me to play with a different Mando, which was fun. While Dincember is just a list of prompts and the date to post them, I made each of the prompts a part of a greater story. On Monday, you’ll see what I mean. If you want to read my Dincember stuff but don’t want to see anyone else’s (I don’t know why, but I’m willing to believe its possible), then follow the #deprough does dincember tag. Follow #dincember to see all of the great stuff, though!
So I’ll post Dincember here and on AO3, and I’m going to be very careful with trigger warnings and tags. If I miss one PLEASE tell me. I’d feel terrible if something I made caused someone else pain -- not the, “oh, the delicious angst of this story” but actual “I just had a panic attack” pain. I promise, I’m a safe person, I won’t ask why or challenge. I’ll just try to do better and learn. And apologize. 
The quote if from Jobs-verse #10, and I technically wrote it yesterday, but I feel like it is a really good paragraph, and I wanted to share.

Even on the weekend, rise & grind! Saturday sweat sesh done! . After crossing off my workouts this afternoon, I got a sense of great accomplishment! Week 3 of my programs are always harder for me to keep the motivation and self-discipline and this week was no exception! . I did not get in my ab workout on Wednesday and I skipped all together on Thursday. So instead of letting that set me back, I took Thursday as my rest day since this program includes a rest day each week, and did both workouts I missed today! Upon looking at the calendar after completing them I realized that I have not missed any workouts, including the additional ab ones, for this whole calendar now!!
