Kyo sang with MERRY at some events where they performed together with sukekiyo, fe atama wa zakuro at Igyou no ma in 2014 and shoudoku in 2017 in Osaka.

DIR EN GREY covered miscast at hide memorial summit in 2008 (this you can still find on internet).

They probably done a bunch of covers in their indie/early years, Kyo was very briefly in some copy band as well, but there's no way I'm digging into that😂

When DIR was touring in the US with Apocalyptica Kyo also joined them for one song, Bring Them To Light (also available on internet).

There's also a thing with Five Finger Death Punch - Kyo was supposed to do vocals in one song, a bonus for the Japanese edition. It was planned, announced and recorded, but that version of the song with Kyo never made it on the CD. There was never any information or comment released as to why afaik.

Dir en grey’s rendition of Warsaw no gensou was pure genious, turning a bad song into something actually amazing and mysterious, whereas their version of D’ERLANGER’s Easy make. Easy mark. sounds like a compilation of excerpts from DUM SPIRO SPERO songs at times...? One of the melodies is essentially a more paced remix of the ~3:22 portion of DIABOLOS. 

However, in a positive light, the huge bass from SA BIR is used in the latest iteration of the IT movie whenever It grows hundreds of teeth! Those moments are so badass once you realise that. 

(Kyo’s cover of Daisuke to Kuro no Injatachi’s Sousou was awesome too though.)

KYO ( DIR EN GREY) DIARY ENTRY ABOUT DAISUKE

You're a selfish person... I think this is the first time I've wanted to hit you with all my might. Even when you were guilty of doing something, I thought, "It's Daisuke so it can’t be helped," and I laughed it off and forgave you... What happened to you? You should have called me at the last moment, idiot. Surely, there were a lot of hardships... sorry. I’m sorry. A day ago we were talking through email about your band. You told me that you were about to make a good album. Hurry up and let me listen to it. You were always a clumsy and risky person... I was worried. I don’t feel any emptiness or actual sensation. Even now, I imagine you saying, “Are you surprised? Sorry.” And it feels like you’ll just pop up and... I can’t help but feel that way. At this point I’d forgive you, so please appear... Daisuke. As expected, living is very hard. From now on, I will think of things that I can do for you. Depend as much as you want on the person you loved and wanted to meet the most. Please sleep soundly. Let there be no more suffering... Because I'm going to go meet you today (By this i think he means at the funeral) ---------------------------------------------------

Despite the onstage image of someone unsteady and overflowing with strong emotions, he was a person who could very easily win over other people and fans. He remained friends with MUCC's Tatsuro, MERRY's Gara and Girugamesh's Satoshi, who viewed him as his mentor. The aforementioned Kyo of DIR EN GREY served not only as kagerou's producer and Daisuke's mentor, but was also a longtime friend. Kyo, who was in a concert on July 15th, upon hearing the news of Daisuke's passing onstage burst into tears and dedicated a song for him. He also wrote a very personal entry on his blog, remembering Daisuke and trying to resign himself to his death. It must be a rumor, but is pretty cute~
