Birthday

Too Young Masterlist Summary: It's Arthur's first birthday.

Arthur’s first birthday came around faster than they could have imagined. It had been a year full of firsts. Arthur took his first steps, said his first word “Dada”, went to his first concert, the list was endless.

Jay had kindly offered to host Arthur’s first birthday party at her house, Anne of course offering to help plan and prepare everything with her. So the two proud grandmothers excitedly did it all. YN always appreciated how lucky Arthur was to have such doting grandparents.

YN had always been made to feel welcome at Louis mum’s house, despite them not being together. So when YN arrived, with Harry behind her carrying Arthur on his hip she wasn’t surprised when Louis grandmother welcomed her with warm open arms.

“Come on in my love.” Jen hugged YN, before greeting Harry and making a fuss of the little boy, who still had his arms clung around his uncles neck. “And happy birthday to this handsome little boy!”.

Following Louis grandmother through the large cosy house, they were met with their close family and friends. At the sight of Arthur in Harry’s arms, Louis mood picked up and his feet walked him over to his son.

“There’s my boy…happy birthday my little lad!” Louis stroked his little chubby cheek.

Noticing his dad was near, Arthur’s head popped up from Harry’s shoulder and his little hands reached for Louis. “Dada!”.

Louis naturally took Arthur into his arms, placing a sweet kiss onto the mini version of himself’s cheek. “Waw…how are yah one already?”.

“He’s growing too quickly!” Harry agreed, his eyes not moving away from his nephew.

Noticing the little one in her brother’s arms, Lottie appeared wanting to steal a little cuddle with the birthday boy.

“Hello Archie bear!” Lottie made a fuss of her nephew, using Arthur’s nickname. “Happy birthday baby boy!”.

YN excused herself to find her Mum whilst she knew Arthur was in safe hands with Louis and Harry. As she walked around the large family home, greeting family and friend as she passed, she couldn’t help but feel overwhelmed with how much effort her Mum and Jay had gone through for her little boy.

Balloons, banners and every party decoration she could have ever imagined were scattered around. She found her Mum, Gemma and Jay in the kitchen along with Louis other sisters.

“YN…darling, we didn’t know you were here yet!” Anne continued to empty the food onto the serving trays.

“Oh YN you’ve arrived!” Jay noticed her standing in the doorway of the kitchen. “No need to worry about a thing, we’ve got it all under control!”.

“C’mon girls, Arthur’s here!” Gemma spoke to Louis sisters, motioning them to the towards the other room to see their nephew.

YN laughed as Gemma and the younger Tomlinson’s all ran past her, each of them racing to the birthday boy.

“Where Ernie and Doris?” YN asked Jay, noticing that the twins were no where to be seen.

“Dans taken them out for a walk so they can have a nap!” Jay explained.

YN was startled when she felt a hand on her back, as she still stood in the doorway. Turning to the side, she noticed the hand belonged to Louis as he tried to squeeze past her.

For a while there had been some tension between the two. It wasn’t an awkward one but their eyes would linger on each other a bit longer than normal, small innocent touches here and there made them both pause and glance at one and other. YN couldn’t help but notice how Louis would hang around a little longer, after their little one went to sleep, when he came to see Arthur. Or how when Phoebe cheekily held a mistletoe above them last Christmas, as they sat together with Arthur opening presents.

YN had driven over from her Mum’s house on Christmas afternoon so Louis could see Arthur on Christmas. As it was Arthur’s first Christmas, Louis and Jay had gone crazy with gifts.

Louis sat on the floor, with Arthur on his lap, YN by the side on them watching how excited everyone was to see their little one opening his presents.

But Phoebe has sneaked a mistletoe from her Mums decorations, and cheekily stood behind Louis and YN laughing hysterically.

Noticing what Phoebe was up to, Jay, the others girls and their older grandparents couldn’t contain their laughter. Louis shook his head and tried to keep a straight face. YN could feel the redness appearing onto her cheeks.

“Pheebs…c’mon, go and sit down.” Louis tried to take the green decoration from her but failed.

Phoebe still wore a cheeky smirk. “No…you know the rules!”.

“Yeah…you know the rules!” Daisy joined in on teasing her older brother.

“Mum…please tell them!” Louis laughed as he begged his Mum for help.

Jay shrugged her shoulders at her first born. “Sorry love…they’re right, it’s the mistletoe rule.”.

Louis could see YN had her eyes attached to Arthur, not knowing what to do. Louis let out a sigh and quickly peck YN’s cheek to keep his sisters entertained.

“Where’s Arthur?” YN asked him, noticing their son was no where to be seen.

“His Aunties are arguing over him!” Louis laughed as he thought about the scene he just walked away from.

Jay and Anne laughed, knowing how loved their grandson is. “Who’s winning?” Anne asked.

“Harry!” Louis stated, before adding “He’s clinging to Harry, probably hoping the girls will get the hint!”.

“He does love his Uncle Harry.” Jay smiled.

The rest of the afternoon was filled with celebration. Food was consumed, games were played, cards and presents were opened and Arthur was given so much love and attention.

Jay walked into the living area with a circular birthday cake, personalised for Arthur. YN and Louis looked at their now one year old with the biggest smiles, before they both helped him to blow out the candles.

Everyone gathered around, as Louis held Arthur and YN now held the cake in her hands, to sing and celebrate the year they got to love and cherish the little boy.

Happy Birthday to you, Happy Birthday to you, Happy Birthday to Arthur, Happy Birthday to you!

Instead of the Styles family driving back home, Jay had offered them all to stay for the evening. Whilst their other families and friends had gone, Anne and Jay enjoyed a much needed glass of wine as they sat down together after a busy few days. Doris and Ernest were fast asleep in their cots, and Louis younger sisters were hanging out in one the girls bedrooms.

Louis had offered to settle Arthur after his bath. He sat in the rocking chair, his Mum used for the twins, with Arthur drinking his bottle of milk whilst cuddled up in his arms. YN stood quietly watching from outside the room, admiring the scene in front of her. A precious father and son moment.

“Hey…you alright?”. Harry interrupted her thoughts as he spoke quietly.

“Yeah…m’fine”. YN whispered back, not wanting to disturb Louis and Arthur.

“You look like you’re in your own head a lot lately.” Harry had watched his sister for the last few weeks, noticing how she was always deep in thought or spaced out.

YN only shrugged her shoulders. “It’s nothing.”.

“Which means it’s something.” Harry argued. “C’mon tell me!”.

YN thought about it, she told Harry most things. He wasn’t one to judge or make her feel guilty for having these feelings. “It’s just…I don’t know…when I was younger, I always imagined having a family but I didn’t ever think that my baby would have two separate homes.”.

Harry took YN’s words in, trying to understand them. He looked to Louis who was still cuddling Arthur to sleep, “You never gave Louis a chance…it doesn’t have to be this way if you let your walls down a bit.”.

There was no harshness in Harry’s comment, YN knew he was being honest. She did put her walls up, especially after she found out she was pregnant. “I don’t want to get hurt…and I don’t want to jeopardise your friendship with Louis.”.

Harry couldn’t hide his smirk as he joked. “I mean you’ve had a baby together…I think we’re past that point.”.

YN watched as Harry walked down the stairs, leaving her with her own thoughts. YN had a decision to make.

Idk if anyone has ever asked u this but I was wondering if u had any favorite daredevil comic recs, ive never read anything of him (since i mostly read dc) but even tho i followed for ur dick grayson fanarts i got curious about Matt bc ur drawings of him and the punisher are also super duper cool :) 💜 hope ur new years goes well! :D

I did enjoy chip zdarsky’s run overall. I’m not an expert so I’ll list some of the recommendations given to me by my friend who loves daredevil:

The Man without Fear - Frank Miller

I would say I’ve read more punisher comics than daredevil, so I can more confidently give this recommendation:

The punisher (1987-1995) by Dan abnett and Andy lanning is a fun 64 issue series that sometimes features Matt but mostly follows punisher’s journey. I’m a fan of more.. silly comics. I like the portray more of Frank here than the usual edgy stuff. There’s also a guy riding a helicopter after his face got stuffed into a cocaine pile. It’s great.

#you can also read the old stan Lee comics for daredevil. it’ll introduce to you the idea of what Matt was supposed to be like in his early #creation before he became the version today.. he used to wear piss yellow and red 😊#also I don’t remember but the issue where froggy pretends to be daredevil is hilarious

Nadir Night

NOTE: Hi everyone, I’m sorry for the terribly long wait! I was a bit clueless on how to continue the story, but I hope this will suffice! Please take the note that Venom speaks in Eddie’s head and his text is italicized. However, there are times when certain words are italicized to symbolize Venom or Venom’s emotions.

This is part 2 of “Forgotten Feelings!” There may be another part, who knows?

Eddie had never crossed as many red lights as he did that morning. He had never been so forgetful.

Careless- he was.

Reckless- he was.

Inconsiderate- he could admit that at times he checked that box. But forgetful?

Never. Not until now.

He had missed his anniversary with his loving partner who had been waiting for him to notice them all day. For him to remember them. For him to be a decent partner.

He had failed them.

That’s not shocking, Eddie.

“Shut up,” he grumbled, tightening his grip on the handles of his motorcycle.

He hated that voice in his head sometimes. That voice (Venom) found it entertaining to make his life even more difficult. He loved to nag him over and over again about his minuscule and gargantuan mistakes. It was always a habit of Venom’s, even when they both first “met.”

Nonetheless, Eddie slowly learned to withstand the taunts. He had to, or else he would lose Venom.

At one point, maybe he did want Venom gone. However, with time and growth he realized he needed him as much as the air he breathed.

So, he taught himself for the better. He learned to become patient and understanding; understanding that Venom was not used to the norms of the human world and needed someone to guide him. He learned more about his emotions, too. He took the time to understand who he wanted to be and didn’t want to be. He finally recognized that in this journey of life, there were paths he should and shouldn’t take. Now, he knew which he wanted to pursue.

This was not one of them.

He didn’t expect to see a handful of people walking at this time. Though, it made sense. The city was beginning to awake. Birds were chirping mellifluous tunes and obnoxious engines were being revved. People filled the streets, rushing towards cars and to the nearest bus and train stations. Albeit, it was all background noise to Eddie. All he could think about was you.

You, his unfortunate partner.

How did someone like you end up with him? How did someone so loving end up with him?

Why did he even pursue you?

He loved you, right?

You love Anne. It’s always been Anne, Eddie. It was never _____.

Was that true? Eddie was never a vocal type of person. He preferred to speak through his actions.

Did his actions prove that to be true?

Most of his nights were spent with Anne after he got off work. He would always call her to help him with Venom. He and Anne would eat dinner and go out for drinks together. They would walk around New York together. Eddie had been at Anne’s place a couple of times when Dan was out.

But he spent time with you occasionally, right? That was better than nothing!

If you believe doing less than the bare minimum is a good thing, I think I’ve chosen the wrong host.

Eddie sighed, slowing his motorcycle down as he neared towards your shared apartment. “You’re right.”

Stepping off his motorcycle and into the building, he eyed your apartment window.

What do you plan on doing, Eddie?

There’s movement behind the curtains, your beautiful figure walking past the window. He couldn’t tell what you were doing, but hoped you weren’t pacing. When you paced, it meant you were stressed, worried, or overwhelmed. Or all three. He couldn’t always tell. He didn’t want this to be the end. He didn’t want to hurt you.

But he had. It was time he faced the consequences.

Finally, he entered the building. “I don’t know, Venom. I really don’t.”

It hurt.

It hurt more than you ever wanted to admit. Your partner, your one and only, your other half completely forgetting about you on your anniversary?

That stung like a bitch.

You had done everything imaginable for Eddie. You had poured your life and soul into him- impacting him in every way possible.

You were there for every step of the way.

You held him the nights he sobbed uncontrollably.

You dragged him home when he was black out drunk.

You took care of him when he was sick or hungover.

When success struck, you congratulated him. Truly, you got Eddie back on his feet. You knew that; he knew that.

No one could deny the truth. Yet, this was how he treated you?

You couldn’t do this anymore.

You couldn’t be treated like the gum on the bottom of his shoe anymore. All you did was give and all he did was take.

It was toxic. You had to admit that now.

Maybe that’s why you were currently packing your bags. Two suitcases were filled to the brim with all of your clothing, makeup, skincare, belongings, and jewelry. You would come back for your furniture, cooking utensils, books, and other miscellaneous objects later. For now, all that mattered was that you left.

Maybe that’s why when you heard a motorcycle drive to your apartment, you grabbed your suitcases, keys and wallet, and sprinted down the steps and to the back of the building. You threw the door open and tumbled into your friend’s arms, panting.

Maybe that was why after holding each other for what felt like hours (but not enough hours), you threw your stuff in the back and sunk into the seat, whispering a broken and tired “drive, please” as tears slipped down your face.

Maybe that was why you shut off your phone to ignore every single one of Eddie’s attempts at reaching out to you in hopes of finding your location.

Maybe that was why you laid on your best friend’s couch, head in hands, sobbing uncontrollably.

“Did I really deserve this?” you cried, body stiff and eyes tired. A pair of warm arms wrapped around your torso, cradling you into their chest. Your face was smushed into their body, wide eyes staring up at their kind and tender ones.

“You didn’t deserve this, honey,” they cooed, rubbing soft circles into your shoulders. “He’s just a dumb boy who doesn’t know when he struck gold even when it flashed him in the face.”

You snorted, a thin smile growing. “If anything, I’m the idiot. Loving a man whose heart was never mine in the first place.”

Their fingers glided along your skin, fingertips brushing with the smallest strokes. Each touch left you sighing in content, sated by their touch. The same type of touch Eddie never gave you.

It was touch of love- albeit not the romantic kind, but nonetheless, love. It rotted your teeth and sent endorphins gushing through your bloodstream. You felt yourself become lighter and your heart loosen. The fog that once covered your mind dissolved.

Slowly, the exhaustion of heartbreak, worry, and trouble settled upon you. It crept into your bones and brain, letting your eyelids flutter shut and body melt into the warm embrace of arms cuddling you.

You didn’t recognize the feeling of a warm cotton blanket falling over your body, a gentle hand stroking your hair, and chaste kiss pressed to your forehead.

“Goodnight, ________.”

Maybe this was your happy ending.

Carnage Rewrite Part 4

Part 4/?

First / Second / Previous / Next Okay, looks like the consensus is that the institution sucks for Frances and the other inmates both, 0-1-3. Good to know. Also apparently her name is Shriek and not Scream. Sorry about that, my bad.

So, how did the movie go again? Lemme grab a scene-by-scene recap and summarize it.

Ok, that's a lot!

So lemme just...

I'll put the text in the readmore, but skip to "/summary" to skip.

Suffice it to say, it's got just as much trash as it does treasure. But it does give us something to work with!

Next time I'll make a list of storybeats from both the summary and the work we've already done here, and then synthesize them into a working outline.

summary

Cletus and Frances talk about her powers and her getting transferred to another prison. Failed escape attempt during transfer, she gets shot by Mulligan.

Cletus insists that he get to talk to Eddie, Venom wants to eat the cop who brings him the news cause he’s a jerk but is rebuffed, Cletus wants a haiku printed in the paper for Frances, Eddie and Venom see the drawing in Cletus’ cell.

Venom reproduces the drawings, they determine that they mean that the bodies of Cletus’ victims are buried at the beach, this leads to the death penalty for Cletus.

Venom’s unhappy with their current diet, we see Sonny and Cher, Venom wants to be “the Lethal Protector” taking out bad guys.

Mrs Chen’s chocolate shipment is late, Eddie & Venom stop a mugging but Eddie talks V out of eating the mugger. They get a call from Anne.

They meet Anne at a restaurant (V is hoping she’ll take them back), and she reveals that she and Dan are engaged. Anne deduces that Venom is alive and tells it to take care of Eddie because he sucks at it and drives people away. Eddie drives home dangerously and V saves them.

Eddie goes to meet Cletus again, after a postcard with backstory that IDK about anyone else but I didn’t care about. Cletus provokes them, Venom pushes him, the confrontation draws blood which is visibly alive when Cletus later ingests it.

At home Eddie and Venom argue (Eddie feels unable to live his life and Venom is starving) and have a domestic violence. They separate and V possesses someone else while Eddie cleans the apartment.

Carnage prevents the lethal injection, it and Cletus slaughter the guards and escape. Carnage explains it wants to kill Venom so it will be the strongest symbiote, Cletus agrees so long as they find Frances. They steal a car and hack the internet to learn where she’s being held.

Eddie sees news of the escape, Mulligan orders Eddie to keep him updated if he finds anything out. Eddie investigates St Estes, sees “CK + FB” on a tree, tells Mulligan (who thought he killed Frances when he shot her years ago)

Venom goes thru bodies, but they are bad matches and keep dying. Goes to nightclub, people think it’s a costume, he does a speech and they love him but he misses Eddie. They go to Mrs Chen for help, arriving as their latest body is dying.

Cletus arrives at Ravenloft where Dr. Pazzo is taunting Frances. Cletus kills the Dr with tentacles and breaks her out, renaming her shriek. They kill the guards and go to St Estes to burn it. Cops arrive, Carnage and Shriek fight back, Carnage orders Cletus to keep Shriek under control.

Eddie taken into custody by Mulligan as bait for Cletus. He contacts Anne for help, Dan drives her tp the station and Eddie tells her he needs V so he can fight back.

Anne & Dan go to Mrs Chen, Anne realizes V is there and Mrs chen is compatible, and convinces it to go with them. They return to the station, Anne goes in and she-Venom breaks Eddie out. Venom demands a sincere apology, Eddie relents and apologizes for sending Venom out of his body, they rebond.

Cletus & Shriek plan a wedding, plan to kill respective targets – Shriek Mulligan, Cletus Eddie, Carnage Venom. They catch Mulligan and go to Anne’s Apartment, knock Dan out & capture Anne, leave note. Dan calls Eddie, tells him to go to cathedral.

Eddie, V and Dan arrive at cathedra, Venom panics at Carnage’s size and colour, Eddie promises V can eat anyone they want. They fight, Shriek tries to help but is rebuffed by Carnage despite Cletus’ protests. Dan throws fire at Carnage, Mulligan tries to flee but is cornered & hanged by Shriek.

Carnage collapses ceiling on Venom, grabs Anne to take to roof. V thinks they are not strong enough, Dan points out Cletus and Carnage are not as bonded cause Cletus is fighting against their treatment of Shriek, this inspires V to rise up and fight back and they stop Carnage from eating anne and save her from falling.

Bell ringing causes the symbiotes to weaken, Eddie & Cletus fight as men, Carnage & shriek have V cornered but V knocks Shriek off a ledge and her scream separates the symbiotes before she is crushed by the bell. Eddie & Cletus fall, V uses anne and Dan to catch Eddie but Cletus and Carnage are separated. It tries to crawl back to him but V eats it, grabs Cletus – who tells Eddie that all he wanted was for Eddie to be his friend – declares “fuck that guy” and eats his head.

Eddie & V skedaddle before the police arrive and Mulligan is alive but his eyes glow blue like Shriek’s. Later E&V try to decide what to do. They think about separating for good but decide to retreat to a tropical island instead.

V tells Eddie that symbiotes can see the multiverse, and when it’s about to demonstrate they are transported to the MCU. They see a news report about Spider-man and V growls and licks Spidey’s image.

Top 10 father/son fantasies

Recently, an anon wondered if I have ever had thoughts of a father and son combination and offer one to me. Because of that I decide to make this list.

My parameters here. I had to be attracted both father and child when both were still alive. So no combos like Dan Blocker and his son Dirk Blocker.

Mmm... on of my favs though.

#10. Lou Holtz & Son Skip Holtz

I've been fantasying about Lou Holtz since I saw him on the sidelines at Notre Dame. I first spotted Skip when he was coaching under his father at South Carolina from 1999-2004, but it wasn't until he was at Louisiana Tech that the father/son fantasies started happening.

Apparently, the next day, all of them announced they’re leaving there respective partners for one of them to marry me. So Queen Elizabeth II ordered me to the palace and after I gave her and her husband a taste of THE DICK. What? She's the queen. Anyway, I fuck her children again, some multiple times until I settle on one. Usual, Andrew or Charles.

Travis, Clancy & Jodi

Drunk & Slurring Woman

Referencing the March PPL convention, remember, the next morning, Jealous Jodi went to the executive director floor of the hotel, and followed Clancy Talbot, the “drunk and slurring woman” into the bathroom. There, she proceeded to spray her scent all over her perceived rival, who, by the way, was finally rescued by a friend who had to get Jodi out of the way of the bathroom door so that she could get in.

Yes, Nurmi, there were instances of jealousy, and the only reason that the Clancy Talbot episode was admitted to by your client is because the “drunk and slurring woman” was on the prosecutor’s witness list, and you wanted to strike first. However, you’re looking for uncorroborated stories of the angry phone yeller/sleep rapist exhibiting jealous behavior toward a woman he didn’t care about. Carry on.

Over the course of their relationship, however, Jodi’s jealously took a toll.

At the Prepaid Legal event in Oklahoma that March, Clancy Talbot was among the dozens of his friends from the company who were in attendance. On the night of the executive ball, Clancy had a little too much to drink, and at one point staggered over toward Travis and laid her head on his shoulder. To brace her, Travis grabbed her by the waist. At the sight of her boyfriend even touching another woman, Jodi fell apart.

“I just got this feeling inside like my stomach flip-flopped,” Jodi recalled. “I couldn’t believe he was doing that, especially in front of our friends. I felt like I wanted to cry, but I didn’t want anyone to see that.”

Jodi slipped away into the women’s bathroom. She locked the stall door, put her feet on the toilet seat, and wept for an hour.

The next day, Jodi followed Clancy into the bathroom.

“She cornered me in the bathroom, she was shaking and upset,” Clancy said. “She just kept saying the same thing over and over.”

Jodi explained that she was now with Travis.

“I am more upset with Travis than I am with you,” Jodi said, trembling. “But I wanted to let you know Travis and I are official now. We are together now.”

After several minutes, a friend of Clancy’s came into the bathroom and she was able to escape. Years later, Clancy would look back on the encounter.

“It was just so strange, so weird, so creepy,” Clancy recalled. “Jodi was so possessive. She didn’t want anyone anywhere near Travis.”

For the next few days, Travis and Jodi fought about the incident. But even after they made up, doubt and suspicions continued to plague her.

Jodi would later admit she was jealous in their relationship, but it was only because she believed she was being two-timed.

“There’s sort of a distinctive feeling that comes when you have that sneaky suspicion that somebody might be not so monogamous,” Jodi recalled. “I had a suspicion.”

As Jodi’s paranoia grew, it became harder for her to contain, and later, in March 2007, a couple of weeks after the eavesdropping incident, Jodi revealed her true colors to another member of Travis’s inner circle. Travis and Jodi were attending a Pre-Paid Legal convention at Cox Convention Center in downtown Oklahoma City with a large group of friends. Busy networking, Travis paid little attention to her, and she became more insecure, complaining that he was treating her like just another conventiongoer, not his girlfriend, and that he had a tendency to treat her more affectionately when no one else was looking. It was as though he was comfortable with her being the companion in his bed, but not in his everyday life, she complained. This attitude toward Jodi was something that had also been noticed by some of Travis’s friends, who said that he seemed less affectionate toward her whenever they were in a group. Dan Freeman observed that the smaller the group, the cozier he was to her. But others disputed that and even produced a videotape that got a lot of airplay on national news showing Travis hugging Jodi as she cradled up against him, while he spoke to a sizable group of people. Travis’s friends asked rhetorically, if Travis was hiding his relationship with Jodi, why was the Internet awash with photos of them hugging?

Suffice it to say at the convention and at the convention’s executive banquet, Jodi was unhappy and lonely. Travis was ostensibly ignoring her, and seeing him chatting in a group that included the vivacious but happily married Clancy Talbot didn’t help Jodi’s mood. Clancy had had a couple of glasses of wine and stumbled, grabbing on to Travis’s arm for support. The two were laughing and enjoying the embarrassing moment, but Jodi took deep offense, calling a friend and crying hysterically that Travis was flirting with another woman. She was already suspicious of Clancy, having spied email exchanges between the two that she considered “flirtatious.”

Clancy said she was flabbergasted when the following day, Jodi followed her into the ladies’ room and confronted her. As Clancy recalled recently, Jodi “comes in and says, ‘I just want you to know Travis and I are an item now. We’re a couple. We’re together. And I’m not upset with you as much as I am with him. I’m mostly upset with him.’ And she’s shaking and she’s angry … and she kept saying it over and over.” Clancy said she felt intimidated as Jodi tried to block the exit door. “I couldn’t leave, and she was standing really close to my face. She was talking and while she’s talking, she’s really angry and shaking. And she just kept saying over and over that I just want you to know that Travis and I are boyfriend and girlfriend. We’re a couple. We’re an item. We are together.” Clancy stared back at Jodi, before brushing past her. “I just thought you are so crazy. And, then, I left.”

In addition to Jodi’s distrust of Travis and other women, her finances may have fueled some of her insecure behavior. Because of the foreclosure on her home back in February, she knew that she would soon be forced to find a new house. With that, there was likely a new urgency in her interest to move things forward with Travis, but it looked less and less like Travis was going to swoop in and offer her a place to live anytime soon.

Okay, back to convention. Nurmi recalls the confusion that Jodi experienced earlier when she was asked about Travis’ public displays of affection (PDAs) in Kansas City, but Jodi thought the subject was his PDAs during convention. I guess we’re going to dissect that now.

Nurmi wants to know how Travis acted toward her at convention. Jodi answers, “Umm…just, I just sorta became, it seemed like, I was just another person there. Uh, maybe on a friend/acquaintance level. Umm…I wasn’t expecting (BS), he had told me ahead of time that convention is crazy, and all that, but there were plenty of moments where we were all just hanging out, and he wasn’t incredibly affectionate (why should he be “incredibly” affectionate in public?), umm, but there was one time when we were up very late, and we were in the hotel lobby, and, umm, I was really tired, but I stayed to hang out with everyone, and he put a pillow on his lap and let me lay there. So that was really nice of him”.

We remember this, Jodi. You didn’t look very appreciative in that video. In fact, you looked quite put upon; kind of like a hostess with a house full of friends who are not getting the hint that it’s time for them to leave. Why not just take you butt back to your hotel room and go to sleep if you’re so exhausted that you cannot remain in an upright position among a group of people who are all quite alert? He was obviously awake and ready to socialize. You, on the other hand, wanted to go and have sex. He preferred the company of other people – at least when given the choice of staying and talking or being alone with you. You were an anchor. Let’s not even get into what he was talking about – his near death experience dream.

Also, I would like to know what Jodi Arias considers appropriate when it comes to PDAs. Should Travis have grabbed her by her hair, shoved his tongue down her throat, and his hand down her blouse? Does she not realize that many people find adolescent displays of affection off-putting and awkward?

Oh, I’m sorry. I cut Jodi off. She wasn’t finished. She continues, “Other than that, he was actually very flirtatious with another woman (oh, could this be Clancy, the woman who was trapped in the bathroom with a territorial Jodi?)”. Nurmi tells Jodi not to get into the details, but he wants to know if this flirtation happened in front of her? “Yes”, says Jodi. Nurmi continues, “Did that hurt your feelings?”. Jodi answers, “Yes, it hurt my feelings”. Nurmi asks, “Did you ever say anything to him about it (I’d be more interested in what she said to the woman, frankly)?”. Jodi answers, “Afterward, after the incident, we ended up talking about it”. Nurmi reminds us all, including Jodi, that in the past, it had been very difficult for Jodi to bring “these things” up to Travis. He would like to know what gave her the strength to do it this time.

My theory: She had no choice. I suspect she confronted this woman, and word was going to get around. Jodi answered, “I didn’t bring it up to him. He came to me. I think he knew he screwed up”. No, absolutely not. He came to her, and he was probably very angry and embarrassed when he found out that she had cornered this woman in the bathroom. I have a very strong suspicion that she is talking about Clancy Talbot. Because this woman isn’t testifying, Jodi is free to spin whatever tale she wants about this “incident”.

Nurmi asks if all was forgiven after they talked about it. Jodi answers, “Eventually. We talked about it for a few minutes. Getting into it made me cry because it was very blatant, what he did (as blatant as 27 stab wounds, a slit throat, a bullet to the face, and a shower stall for a grave…that blatant, or was it more subtle than that?). And, he was very apologetic”. There is an absolutely disgusting expression of smug victory on her face. Do you know what I just realized – as in, it just really hit me? I think any penalty Jodi Arias will pay will always be secondary to the fact that she truly believes she won. I just saw that look on her face. She wasn’t reflecting or reacting to an incident in the past – that is her heart, and that is the way she feels today. She may pay a huge price for what she did, but the price he paid will always be bigger. Even if she dies by lethal injection, she will never know the absolute frenzy being experienced by a mortally wounded man trying, in vain, to crawl away from his attacker, only to feel her cold, blood drenched, bony fingers on his body again, pulling his head back, and ending his life. This is beginning to feel pornographic.

Jodi is now going to go into the realm of the ridiculous. Nurmi continues to hammer away at the PDA disparities based on location. Jodi says, as far as the convention was concerned, she didn’t over analyze it. After all, she realized it was a business convention, and while there were other couples there who were sitting together and holding hands, she wasn’t really upset that Travis wouldn’t do that. What upset her is what he did with the other woman. She says, “…So it hurt my feelings a little bit, but it was very mild in comparison to the way he was actually acting with another woman”.

Nurmi is back to sleeping arrangements. He wants to know if they shared a hotel room. She answers, “Definitely not. We were in separate hotel rooms (that makes me happy, and hopefully, he made her pay for her own room)”. Nurmi pounces on “definitely not” (didn’t see that coming), and he wants an explanation. Here we go. Travis the Mormon hypocrite, right? Jodi answers, “Well, he explained to me that it wasn’t looked upon very well when…to stay in the same hotel room. Umm, plus, we weren’t married, we weren’t going to get the same hotel room. We would stay in the same…he would stay in a room full of guys, and I would stay in a room full of girls, and we would all split the cost”.

Just a point that’s dying to be made. Why did any of this need to be explained to New Creation Arias? Four months earlier, she was subjected to a stalled baptism because she lived under the same roof as a man who was not her husband and not a relative. If anyone should understand what the issue with a shared hotel room was, it would be Jodi Arias. By the way, let’s not forget that she’s allegedly as much of a Mormon as Travis Alexander. There was probably quite a bit of bitching about this. I can almost hear it: “We barely get to see each other as it is, and you care more about what a bunch of hypocrites think than what I think, blah, blah, blah”. I think she would have loved to have gotten him out of that church. I think she would have loved to see him excommunicated from that church.

Nurmi says, “I’m a little confused then, because it seems like this man had concerns about appearances at the convention, but didn’t have any concerns about sharing a hotel room with you a night or two before hand, right?”. Nurmi should not be trying to make his point by feigning confusion. It’s transparent, and it makes him sound stupid – or even worse, it makes the jurors believe that he thinks they’re the stupid ones. Framing questions while pretending that you haven’t been listening to all of the testimony you have elicited is a low level mistake. We all know why the sleeping situation was set up the way it was. If he has any further confusion on the subject, maybe he should stop trying to figure out the Mormon brain of the victim. Maybe he should look at his client, who also claims to have a Mormon brain, and ask her to explain the doctrinal issues of premarital sex. No. Instead he will act like he is talking to a woman who never pretended to be a Mormon, and he’ll pretend the man she was dating suddenly foisted his odd Mormon beliefs on her at a convention.

Jodi says, “Yes”. Nurmi asks, “Did you ever question him about that disparity?”. Oh, I’ll bet she did, whether or not she admits it now. There was no reason for her to question anything. She knew the rules. She was a baptized member of the faith. If she didn’t like it, she could have told him that she wasn’t willing to have this type of relationship. The truth is, she held onto this type of relationship with the same white knuckled fervor as a man hanging from a ledge.

Jodi answers, “No. I knew it was a church standard, and I knew we were going against the church standard when no one else knew about it, but, not that time. Eventually, it came up between us, but not at convention, I didn't”.

Nurmi wants to know how they got back home from the convention. Jodi says she believes they flew directly back to Phoenix. Jodi makes it clear that they did not fly with a group of people. There may have been other people they knew on the plane, but they made their own reservations and flew together (you want to bet that she whispered, “It’s a short flight, babe. Wanna join the mile high club?). Look at how things have changed for the waitress from Yreka. At the last convention in September, Jodi was left watching as Travis pulled away in a taxi to be driven to the airport. She was stuffed into the back seat of a Honda and subjected to a long car ride back to Palm Desert (and she wasn’t even driving). Now, this non-earner, but very actively involved PPL associate, is flying in and out of conventions. It’s so much fun to play house, isn’t it?

Once they got back to Phoenix, Jodi did not get into her car and drive back home. Instead, she hung around Travis’ house and wrangled herself an invitation to a weekly Sunday dinner Travis attended at someone’s home. Nurmi wants to know if Jodi slept over. Of course, Jodi slept over. I think Travis might have even compensated Jodi for her travel expenses…just a guess. Does Jodi have a job she needed to be at on Monday morning at 8:00 AM (and Tuesday morning, a1nd Wednesday morning…all the way to Friday)? No, and even if she did, she’d just get up at 2:30 AM and start driving.

Back to the dinner. Jodi had not met these people. They are, at present, not being named. Nurmi wants to know if Travis introduced Jodi to this family as “his girlfriend”. Jodi answers, “No, I was kind of just a friend”. No, he didn’t say, “Hey, this is Jodi. She’s kind of just a friend. Do you mind feeding her?”. Of course not. He said, “This is my friend, Jodi Arias. She’s a PPL associate, and a recent convert”. That’s what he said.

Once again, we need to know if Jodi’s feelings were hurt. She says “not particularly”. Nurmi continues, “That evening, you went to this home and you were introduced as his buddy, again. When you go back to the home, is there more sexual activity?” Jodi answers, “Right before I left…(long pause)…I really don’t recall about that night”. She looks apologetic, but she needn’t be. Nurmi’s been over-sexed today.

Judge Stephens grants Nurmi’s request for a break, and the afternoon recess begins. There are only twenty minutes left to Jodi’s third day under direct. Jodi stands for the jury, and she immediately turns toward them, looks at them, and crosses her arms across her chest. This is significant in terms of body language. It signifies that she is feeling negative, defensive, and nervous.

The Idol on HBO: Everything We Know About the Salacious Series

From the creator of Euphoria comes another shocking drama.

The Idol was the most controversial show in town before it even got a premiere date, but maybe that's how the creators like it. After all, the steamy new HBO series is being billed as a toxic love story from the “sick and twisted minds” of The Weeknd (born Abel Tesfaye) and Sam Levinson, the latter being the nepo-baby son of Barry Levinson who created Euphoria and directed Malcolm & Marie.

So what's all the fuss about? Here's everything we know (and have heard) about the series:

What’s it about?

After her last tour is cut short by a nervous breakdown, the up-and-coming pop star Jocelyn (Lily-Rose Depp) falls under the influence of Tedros, a shadowy nightclub impresario (The Weeknd).

Who else is in the cast?

Oh, it's stacked. Dan Levy, Hari Nef, Hank Azaria, Troye Sivan, Jennie from Blackpink, Suzanna Son, Rachel Sennott, Jane Adams, Moses Sumney, Eli Roth, Mike Dean, Karl Glusman, and the late Anne Heche are all listed on the show's IMDb page, though apparently, some roles that were shot ended up being scrapped from the final version.

Why are people skeptical?

Levinson was already a, let's say, questionable figure in the HBO-verse, having run the Euphoriaset somewhat chaotically. He wrote every episode himself (to the chagrin of Barbie Ferreira) and is alleged to be kind of a control enthusiast, hovering somewhere between auteur and nightmare. So it came as a surprise, maybe, but not a shock when Rolling Stone published a bombshell article about The Idol being an expensive mess.

The key takeaways: Levinson halted production after 80% of the planned series had been shot, scrapped everything, fired the director Amy Seimetz and took over, ballooning the budget and throwing production into chaos. The Weeknd was busy with his music career but apparently wanted more of the spotlight, Levinson made last-minute changes to every script (this causes huge production delays and is super expensive in the industry), people were hired and fired quickly and without notice, and the sex scenes…are gonna be controversial. Multiple insiders who spoke to RScalled the original version of the story a “satire” of exploitation in Hollywood but fear that the finished product will just be plain exploitative. One telling detail is that while Levinson was busy with Euphoria for much of the early days of shooting, he did apparently show up to watch Lily-Rose Depp's first sex scene.

The Weeknd then responded to the article in a way that made people really scratch their heads. In the Rolling Stone article, sources claimed the show was overhauled because the singer felt it was too focused on the “female perspective.”

“It was like any rape fantasy that any toxic man would have in the show—and then the woman comes back for more because it makes her music better,” one production member told Rolling Stoneof the revised version.

So how did Tesfaye respond? On March 1, he tweeted, “@RollingStone, did we upset you?” alongside a scene from the show where his character calls Rolling Stone “irrelevant” and turns down a cover on Jocelyn's behalf.
