| you’re not alone now |
once again @arleniansdoodles new chapter was just perfect and i couldn’t help myself but draw a scene from “Of Atreus and Calliope”
i am obsessed with them. i am just shsnbskemsns—- i love their dynamic and just how soft atreus is with calliope 😭 these two hold my heart and soul 💗
THEY’RE A SET. DO NOT SEPARATE 😡
i also just know that kratos would be so proud of his boy and so so happy that his daughter has someone like atreus… DAMMIT this makes me want to cry 😭
as always, i want to thank the writer and urge everyone to RUN and read this beautiful piece of work 💗

no because in the book everytime kassandra thinks about phoibe they described that she is desperately trying to push her feelings aside, to not be attached and care about someone like family would, they describe it as a fire in her heart that she tries to put out and when kassandra sends darius and her son away for his own safety she says she will be the fire, the beacon of light to distract everyone. because she didn‘t let this fire burn for phoibe when she still had the chance to care about her and take care of her. and later in the underworld she also tells phoibe that adults are foolish and only start with what could have been and what if‘s (this is not a direct quote this is me recalling what happened) once a child like phoibe is gone and it‘s too late. phoibe is essential to kassandra‘s character. she mirrors kassandra but also encourages her to grow and question her views and beliefs that she learned as a child in sparta. and later we can see this in kassandra‘s relationship to elpidios too. she won‘t make the same mistakes she regrets with phoibe. to me it seems also like phoibe is a metaphor for kassandra trying to take care of her inner child and her own trauma, like I said a mirror of kassandra being a child, alone.

Tentative Ending (Cassandra and Helen)
I know it isn’t right. I know it isn’t just. But I have a hero’s soul, daughter of Zeus that I am, and I will not let myself be confined anymore. “Let there be war." The words leave my lips with a startling finality. “They deserve it, all of them.”
“You sound like Eris.”
“No.” I stare at her, chest beating around a cold, dead heart. “I left her.”
“Did you?” She clutches her robes, shrinking into herself. “Or does she still cling, even now?”
“My mind is my own, Cassandra.” I meant it as a statement. It sounds more like a plea. “It’s the one thing no one can take from me.”
“I see things you can’t, Helen.”
I straighten. “As do I.”
We stare, unmoving, unflinching, the waves pounding on the shore beneath us. My hand presses to my chest and finds no pulse.
And far away, I hear the echo of a scream.

cackling loudly to myself knowing that nayeli is genuinely a sweetheart and she hates harming people but if she has to . . she will, and that’s a promise. she loves protecting her friends, her family, her loved ones, and she becomes the most dangerous person to come across if she ever finds out you did something to harm someone she cares about . .

Sometimes we must be led by duty, and sometimes by what is right....The trick is to know when these things are the same, and when they are not.
