Wrecker would be so fun at the beach!

You woke up excited for the day. You threw on your swimsuit and grabbed a towel. Wrecker was ready in his suit, carrying a towel, blanket, a huge cooler of food and drinks, and two bottles of sunscreen. You headed out together and were greeted by perfect weather. You spread out the blanket and sat together, slathering sunscreen on each other before heading into the water.

While you took your time getting into deeper water, Wrecker laughed and dove in. The splash hit you and now wet, you decided to dip under the water. Wrecker came over and picked you up, put you over his shoulders, and spun around. He held you and walked further into the water. You held on to his shoulders and threw your head back, enjoying the sun on your face and his joy permeating the atmosphere.

It wasn't long before Wrecker was hungry and he picked you up, carrying you to the blanket, placing you down gently, and popping open the cooler. There was a ton of food and you enjoyed fruit, sandwiches, chips, and water with some cut citrus in it for flavor.

"You have to hydrate, cyar'ika," he said, passing you the water container to refill your cup. "And we should reapply sunscreen so I can tell Tech that we reapplied sunscreen when he asks."

You laughed at that. After lunch you did, in fact, reapply sunscreen. You helped Wrecker get all of his back and he gently applied it wherever you couldn't reach. You both laid out and took a brief nap. Upon waking up, Wrecker had blown up an innertube that looked like a bantha. He nodded toward the water and you got back in. Wrecker helped you on to the floating bantha and pushed you around in the water, the speed making you laugh. Eventually you were both worn out and decided to call it a day, but not before sitting together to enjoy the view a little longer.

Summary: Having a job as a lifeguard isn't as exciting as movies say it is. It's usually just standing around and looking out for kids who went too far toward the deep end of the ocean, but even that wasn't nearly as fun as it sounds.

Sure, saving people is honorable and having a job that requires you to do so is a respectable profession, but god is Katsuki bored out of his mind.

It's a Monday, so not a lot of people are on the beach, meaning not a lot of things for the blond lifeguard to do. He leans against a palm tree, clad in a white tank top and red swimming shorts that extends to his knees, as he watches the waves crash against the seashore.

He sighs and stretches his arms, his muscles tense from being idle for so long. The blond groans. He needs to do this or else he wouldn't be able to pay his goddamned rent, so he relents through the boredom. He decides to walk along the shore, feeling the sea tickle his feet before retreating and then coming back again.

It's peaceful and quiet, Katsuki admits.

Until he hears the screams of a young man.
