There were 12 sea turtles released back into the wild today! I managed to get there on my lunch but since it was last minute I didn’t have a great view but I did see a flipper flap a time or two! Regardless, it is an amazing thing that happened today!

I’m glad I went even though I wasn’t feeling good and I don’t like crowds (hence the poor viewing spot). It’s good to see people getting involved with this and hopefully taking away the importance of the release!

It’s Day 65 of the Windy Wessagusset Wimple of 2024. The wind was out of the east at the 4mph with gusts to 9mph at 6am. The temperature was 39° and it felt like 36°. I used the Light Raspberry color of Red Heart Super Saver yarn to indicate the wind was out of the east. I worked my stitches in garter stitch because the wind was at 4mph. It was another gloomy day in Wessagusset with thick clouds and occasional drizzle and rain: not a pretty day. Today there was a new color added to the scarf thanks to the east wind for the first time. Traffic was miserable in both directions going to and coming from Boston. Here’s hoping tomorrow is better. Be safe out there.
