hello (one of the) resident phannie data analyst(s) here with some parasocial stats on dnp’s movie tastes! following: distribution of dan and phil's ratings overall, movies they each rated 5 stars, their lowest-rated movies, and the similarities + differences in their tastes

(lore moment: yes i am a data analyst in my real job. yes i surprised myself with wanting to do this in my spare time. but then i remembered when we read dracula in college (yes i was an english major) and i graphed like, how many times dracula was referred to as vampire versus monster or something. so i shouldn’t be surprised.

first up, their overall rating patterns and by ~special status~ (i.e., wall-e, kill bill, avatar, lmao, plus big hero 6 for the fun of it)

dan’s rated 304 movies and phil’s rated 305. both of them have mean and median ratings of 4 with min 1 and max 5.

both rated kill bill vols. 1 and 2 a 5. wall-e got a 4.5 from dan and a 4 from phil (phake phans). both gave avatar a 3.5. and big hero 6 3.5 (dan) and 4.5 (phil)

rating distribution:

i did analyses here by genre but i need to fix the output (i’m writing all of these based on the markdown document from my phone on the subway, but i need to fix the outputs and i don’t have my computer. so those are pending but there are other genre analyses that i could do & haven’t yet!)

while i was sorting through the data i got the impression that dan overall rated movies higher than phil. so, among movies that they've both rated, here's some information

Pav's history in chronological order

Okay, okay. So. If y'all are curious as to what are the comics you have to read to get a pixel of Pavitr or and in what order, I got you. Now, want to clarify something:

If you only want to read the two volumes of Spider-Man: India, that's legit. The only thing you'll miss is why is he in Earth-616 at the very begging, but nothing that jarring.

Early life and becomig (a) Spider-Man

Easy peasy, it's only four issues! The first comic is, obviously: Spider-Man: India (2004).

Spider-Verse Related

Now, overall, Pavitr is pretty much a side side side character in the Spider-Verse, but has his moments!

Spider-Verse Event (2014). Like, all of it, yeah. Reading order in here.

Deadpool: Too Soon? Infinite Comic #6. Seems odd, right? Well, yeah; that's because he only appears in like, two panels, LOL. But he appears! That's something. Hobie also appears! And they play baseball against a bunch of Wolverines.

Spider-Verse (Vol. 2) (2015). Secret Wars Event.

Web Warriors (2015). He's the genius of the group! Has great great moments.

Spider-Geddon (2018) (second Spider-Verse Event; third if you count the Electroverse thing) (also HERE is where you can see him with a freaking BEARD). Reading order in here.

End of the Spider-Verse (2022). More importantly, Edge of Spider-Verse (2022) #3 is the tie in for his main vol. 2 series! Reading order in here.

He survived the End of the Spider-Verse!

Now you can read Spider-Man: India (2023) in peace! Knowing that he lived to tell us about all The Horrors(TM).

And after Spider-Man: India (2023) he was kinda kidnapped by Loki along with Black Cat (616), in Marvel Voices Infinty Comics (#75 to 76).

He dances Bollywood (probably) songs in Free Comic Book Day: Marvel Voices #1 (2024)!

Who knows if he will ever appear in other comic after this second volume, along with others like Hobie (I'd like that actually). I sure hope so! They can't just give him a new suit and vanish him from existence! (< I say, knowing they would do that.)

Who is....Tom Cassidy | Black Tom Cassidy? - A Reading Guide

Tom Cassidy is an X-Men affiliated mutant from Marvel comics first introduced in 1976. He is the cousin of Sean Cassidy (Banshee) and a father-figure to Theresa Cassidy (Siryn/Banshee). Tom is heavily associated with Cain Marko (Juggernaut), who he met in prison. Tom's powers are directly tied to the land, and are heavily related to bio-kinesis. During the Krakoan era, Tom fused with the mutant island, Krakoa, which caused him a great deal of distress and drastically changed how he interacts with the world around him.

THE FOGGY APPEARANCES MASTERPOST

So I decided, after literal years of relying on places like the marvel wiki and comicvine to look for and double check Foggy Nelson's appearances throughout the marvel universe, to go and make a comprehensive list of his appearances outside of the main Daredevil title, counting Daredevil limited series and one off stories, along with cameos and alternate universes. This is simply a list to serve as a guide to find him, it is not a curated list so the quality varies wildly, but I hope you're all as curious as I was to find all the most obscure and niche Foggies out there. I had read the 2014-15 run, and the Lemire run, the 'deadpool kills marvel again' (mk got killed too early :/) and the 'marvel comics present' issue 4, I am also reading the current moon knight run, and also can I ask some music recommendation that I can listen to while reading, (sorry bad English)

THE FIRST appearance as Mr. Knight: Secret Avengers #19 Vol 1 (2010).

Just a little image or two, but it must have caught someone's eye because just a few years later when Moon Knight needed a jump start and new life we got:

Vol 1: From the Dead, Vol 2: Blackout (by Brian Wood), and Vol 3: In the Night (By Bullen Bunn).

I say OFFICIALLY because age-of-moon knight found a much earlier issue where Mr Knight sort of appeared off handedly in some random issue.

But officially, you'd need to read anything 2014 onwards to get actual Mr. Knight.

You see, after that, who could resist putting that beautiful suit in their art?

The trouble is finding ALL the other things he's appeared in randomly in the background.

I have my sources that atempts to list all the comics MK has ever apeared in, but even they are limited.

There are side things like "Original Sin event", but we all know how I feel about marvel events… (BOOOOO).

Then there's Deadpool's secret secret wars, but I can't tell you how prominantly MK, much less Mr. Knight appears in that either.

Of course we then jump right into All-New, All Different Marvel with Lemire's run. (2016-2017 and he isn't in any background comics at this time).

Smallwood slaps that scrunkle and suit together like it was made to be.

we aren't going to talk about Marvel Legacy which came right after. (I have a HUGE project I'm working on right now that's taking up a lot of painful time regarding Marvel Legacy run… Expect that to start coming otu soon. I'm sorry.)

BUT. During Legacy, we did see him start to pop up in other comics more.

Like the Marvel Comics Presents (2019) #4: This Benjamin Percy story is billed as “what happened next” after Marc “went completely insane and disappeared.”

Then there's Marvel Knights 2018 (not sure if he's Mr. Knight here… Maybe appears in like a page or two?).

Then we skip Age of Khonshu for reasons I've already ranted about…

And that brings us to current events in 2021 with Mackay.

There's also Doctor Strange Vol 6 Issue #2 (ALSO BY MACKAY)

As for music recommendations? I'm really bad at music recommendations. It really depends on what you like. Anyone want to sound off in the comments on what they listen to while reading Moon Knight?

I like Leonard Cohen if I'm feeling mellow. He's got an amazing old New York quality to his voice and he basically wrote poetry that he turned into songs about his experiences with love, life, being Jewish, and his experiences.

I also pop in songs that get mentioned in the comic, like "The Killing Moon" by Echo and the Bunnymen... Which Marc made into his alarm clock. And it also makes me think that Marc likes that style of music so I slap that playlist up on YouTube and let it go.

And that leads me down to The Cure, Depeche Mode, and Duran Duran for some reason.

Maybe it's because that was the age that Marc kinda grew up in, depending on what run you are reading.

Thanks for sending an ask and there's absolutely no need to apologize for your English (yours is great and goodness knows that it's an absolute charlie foxtrot of a language/I kark it up often enough myself)! Looks like you've definitely read the main comics that feature Mr. Knight and can skip the first three bullet points below, but here's a compilation of appearances I scraped together where at least some variation of that all-white three piece suit is present, i.e. in some of these, he might have the mask and/or suit jacket off, but it's still pretty clearly the Mr. Knight suit. Spider-Man: Web of Shadows, Spider-Man: Edge of Time, and Insomnic’s Spider-Man: The Heist/ Silver Linings DLC are all games that have Felicia in them!! I believe that the Spider-Man 2 (2004) game and TASM games from 2012 & 2014 also have Fel in them but I haven’t watched those play throughs so I can’t say for certain how much content there is.

There are some cut scenes from TASM 2 that feature Felicity Jones as Felicia working for Harry Osborn! Unfortunately we never get to see her in costume but she still does a great job and I wish we got her as Fel in TASM 3 🥲

Felicia has a pretty small ao3 tag with <1,500 works, but there are some fantastic fics that I definitely suggest reading (and authors you should definitely follow)!!

@the-cat-and-the-birdie has a Post-NWH Peterfel/PeterMjFel fic that I’ve really been enjoying and is currently ongoing!!

@seek--rest !! Seek’s mostly an mcu/spideychelle writer but has some really fantastic Felicia-centric/Felicia appearance fics up that i definitely suggest.

Both of @traincat’s Insomniac Peterfel fics are great reads that are on my (very short) list of fics i regularly re-read.

Naturally I have to suggest myself as well 🤭 I just started a new Peterfel series that I’m looking forward to updating soon! It’s a comic au without a solid timeline and is mostly just interconnected oneshots that center domestic Peterfel. I’m also working on a Felicia-centric fic based on a really cool headcanon that @peterbwatsonparker sent me about psychic/medium Felicia that I’m hoping to post in the next few weeks!! I also have a decent amount of headcanons posted on my blog that never made it into full fics, but my most popular ones (and my personal favorites) are my Mutant!Felicia headcanons.

Obviously these are just my personal recs, so I’m definitely missing some stuff, but if you’d like a complete list of Fel’s mainstream comic appearances you can find that here!!
