I'm not even in this fandom anymore, but you know how the 2015 Korean production of the Death Note musical was subbed on YouTube for a while and then vanished off the face of the earth when it was taken down?
Apparently I have Act 1 sitting in my Google Drive, so here's a link. I do not have Act 2, nor do I know where to find it so do not ask me about that. I don't know where I got this, either. It's just been sitting there for ages.

SCREAMING CRYING THROWING UP AFTER THE DEATH NOTE MATINEE TODAY
EVERYTHING I HOPED FOR AND MORE
WORTH WAITING THE 5+ YEARS I HAVE WAITED TO GET A FULL ENGLISH LANGUAGE PRODUCTION
(On the note of me having been at the death note matinee, I may have recorded an audio bootleg that I'd be willing to trade once I've cut all the unnecessary intermission sound from it)

Who gave Where's the Justice from Death Note: The Musical the right to be such a good song while also misinterpreting Light's ideals so atrociously. It's so wrong but it slaps so fucking hard

i think the musically of deathnote the musical English version has potential but theres just something that is just slightly off kilter in the songs and i think the problem lies in trying to force the same musicality to a different language. you can tell many of the singers are very talented but the cadence the lyrics forces them to take on makes it hard for them to sound good. by the end of their lines the notes are sour

sometimes I think about the way, especially in the musical, Light's death was penned at the very same moment that L's was. as soon as Rem wrote L's name in the Note, it was the beginning of the end; without L, there was no game, and without the game, both Light and Ryuk were set to be condemned to their boredom. "Rem has written, you will write no more," applied quite handily to the both of them. a premonition far too late, if only Light could have seen the signs before.
