Clips from the Oklahoma House floor concerning anti-trans legislation, original linked in source
Edit: I see this post is popping off again, thank you for sharing! Reminder to our youth watching this video (operationally defined as those 14-25), @bfpnola is an international, Black-, queer-, woman-, and youth-run organization. We’d love to have some new volunteers, especially from Oklahoma in particular because we don’t have any! If you’d just like to meet everyone first, this is our Discord Server. Why not start there and then you can decide? 🫂

Y’all IK we won the senate and it’s definitely important to celebrate, but if you’re in Georgia please, please, please vote in the runoff on December 6.
If we can get 51 instead of an exact tie it will give us a little wiggle room. For the past two years, a lot of the improvements Biden has attempted to make haven’t made it passed the Senate because one or two Democrats voted no and that was all it took; if we can get Georgia too, one Democrat can vote no and the legislation will still pass. The more seats we have the better chance we have for serious, meaningful change.
Please vote December 6th.

"Today, Georgia's Senate passed House Bill 1104, an "omnibus" bill designed to consolidate several anti-transgender policies into a single piece of legislation. Additionally, the Senate will debate House Bill 1170 later this evening, which proposes adding puberty blockers to a ban on gender-affirming care already passed by the state. Both bills were attached to entirely unrelated legislation as a strategy to circumvent rules that mandate bills pass at least one chamber by a specific deadline, effectively rendering that deadline meaningless for anti-trans legislation. This weekend, it was announced that both bills would appear on the Senate calendar, and at 4 PM on Tuesday, House Bill 1104 passed on a party-line 33-21 vote. The Georgia Legislature is set to adjourn sine die on Thursday."

Even some Republicans have come out in opposition to the complaint.
Out Nebraska state Sen. Megan Hunt (D) has been put under investigation by the Nebraska Accountability and Disclosure Commission (NADC) for a possible conflict of interest because she has a transgender child and the state legislature is considering a bill to ban gender-affirming care for transgender youth.
Omaha lawyer David Begley filed the complaint, which was hand-delivered yesterday by NACD executive director Frank Daley.
