Nanagi Nagi
For the last moon or so, Cepu had been lying low, making sure not to draw any attention to the mafia just in case. Seems they truly couldn’t find out who did the attack. Either that or they were just waiting for him to make another move. He made sure not to wear his gloves in public, and wasn’t doing anything to bring attention to himself. He decided that he needed to get some pointers from his old master. Nanagi Nagi. Recalling the name brought up memories of her kicking his ass when he was younger. Before she left, she gave their family her new address in the Lavender Beds.. Cepu contemplated all of this while lying in bed. Though he is thinking of all of this, he is also doubtful that she’ll just take him back up again.
“She’s retired, married, I shouldn’t drag her into this,” Cepu thought. But, he had to try if he had any change of facing Gashi and living. He forces himself up and throws on the cleanest clothes he could find and teleports to Gridania, walking around until he found her house. Gridania as a whole was, as usual, peaceful and tranquil, and he, of course, isn’t very used to it.
After some wondering, and thanks to his memory of visiting once when she first moved, he found her house. He walked up to the door and he hesitated at knocking, thinking maybe she forgot about him, or she somehow knows what he is doing and will deny her. He shakes his head, braving off his reservations and knocks on the door. After a few seconds, no answer. He knocks again. A minutes passes, still no answer. He couldn’t feel any aether inside either, so he just stood there at the door, his arms crossed. He gives a sigh and turns to the city, a few people walking about. He gets out his pipe and puts it in his mouth, lighting it with a match and sucking in the smoke to exhale it through his nose.
He idly stands there, leaning against the door and people watching as he usually does in Ul’dah. Eventually, a womans voice yells out, “So y’don’t write or call or visit ‘n all of a sudden y’show up on my door step?!” Cepu looked to the direction of the voice to see Nagi, a lalafellian duskfolk with short, white hair, bags under her eyes, and wrinkles beginning to set in around her eyes. She was in a casual green dress. Cepu smirks at her and  puts out his pipe. “‘N it’s always wonderful t’see you as active as always.” Cepu replies. Nagi looks a little surprised. “No longer a shy little baby, are we,” she ask with a chuckle, walking up to him and giving him a hug. “‘S been a while. Come in, ;’m sure y’want somethin’ from me,” She continues. Cepu rolls his eyes and gives her a hug back. He truly did miss her. Nagi unlocks her door and walks in, beckoning Cepu to follow, which he does, closing the door behind him.
Inside the house, it is dark before she turns the lights on, showing the two velvet couches, a soft rug with a coffee table on top sitting in front of a fireplace. There was a small kitchen in the corner and stairs on the opposite side of the kitchen leading downstairs. It was a cozy house, still warm from an earlier fire. Nagi kicks her boots off and places them next to the door. “Shoes off before y’want in ‘ere.” Nagi announces. Cepu roles his eyes, but does as he is told, placing his boots next to hers and walking in, taking a seat on one of the couches.
“What’s yer drink o’choice? Still scotch?” She ask, walking over to the kitchen to get them both something to drink.
“Y’know me so well.” Cepu says with a grin on his face, still looking around and taking in the atmosphere of the house. There was a Immortal Flames flag hanging up on the wall, as well as some photos of her with her husband. Nagi walks over with two glasses, one with scotch for Cepu and another with just water for her. He takes the glass and thanks her, but doesn’t take a sip. Nagi takes her seat on the opposite couch.
“So, how has everythin’ been. I mean, I know it hasn’t been easy since Shida died, you’ve still a brother ‘n father with you. They’re..they’re not dead, aye?”” Nagi asked with worry written on her face. Cepu shakes his head.
“No, they’re not dead. As for myself..well..” Cepu trails off. “Well, I’ve been lookin’ into the group that killed him. Apparently the same group killed mom too.” He says, pulling some papers out from under his jacket and putting them on the table. They were all the filed he stole from the tavern a while back. “I plan on killin’ all of em, t’be blunt, ‘n I got away with one, but almost died in my recent fight..I came t’ask..for more trainin’.” He ask, a bit scared to ask, wondering what her response will be. She looks over the papers curiously.
“Eluric, I know that name. He made t’news for bein’ killed publically by some lalafell in a hood.” She says, looking up at Cepu with a peaked brow. Cepu looks away.
“Aye, that was me.” Cepu admits. Nagi doesn’t give off anything more than a monotonous hum and looks back down through the papers.
“Aye, readin’ it here says yer mother was involved until she left ‘n got tired of payin’ them after.” She says with a sad tone. She sighs and drinks some of her water, putting the cup down and looking up at Cepu. “They don’t know, do they?” She asked.
“Of course not, ‘m not stupid, I couldn’t worry them like that!” He explains.
“Aye, but yer father has been through enough ‘n your brother is tryin’ t’start a business last I heard! What happens if y’die?”
“I won’t die!”
“Y’jus’ said y’almost died in yer last fight!”
The last remark stopped Cepu in his tracks. He just huffs and looks away.
“Do they know your face?”  Nagi asked.
“No, I wore a mask.” Cepu replies. “They don’t know who I am, only Eluric knew and I killed em.”
“Now yer goin’ after Gashi. I’m surprised you didn’t die, t’say the least. I remember havin’ t’go after him once, before he joined the mafia. He wounded my entire squad by himself in five moves. He’s a quick caster, ‘n fast on his feet. T’fight him ‘n win, you’d need t’ attack aggresively ‘n  use primarily ice as a defensive counter t’block his magic.” She explains. Cepu’s eyes widen.
“I tried goin’ for him but he was jus’ readin’ me through ‘n through.” Cepu replies.
“He’s gotten better then.” Nagi says. Cepu nods in agreement.
“I got off a few hits but he threw me off a waterfall so..aye he won.” Cepu says with a bit of pain to his pride. Nagi looks away and picks up her water and finishes it, setting it back down softly on the table. Her eyes were furrowed, thinking about something.
“Yer set on this, aren’t you?” Nagi ask.
“..aye.” Cepu replies in a soft tone. Nagi lets out an aggravated noise that was rather loud.
“Alright listen up. If yer’ goin’ after them, I can’t help you because of my background, they’d spot me in a second, but I will train you. You’ll be stronger than I was in my prime! ‘N don’t think if you die you get off easy, I will drag your body out all seven hells ‘n beat your ass jus’ t’send you back!” Nagi barked at Cepu, which makes him laugh and stand up.
“Perfect. I told you, I’ve no intention of dyin’ t’them.” He says with a grin, and a bit of confidence.
“Good. Trainin’ starts in a bell. Get ready.” Nagi says.

Bitcoin Investors Reveal 2019 Hedge, Plus Ripple and XRP, Ethereum, Tron, Litecoin, Cardano: Crypto News Alert
Bitcoin Investors Reveal 2019 Hedge, Plus Ripple and XRP, Ethereum, Tron, Litecoin, Cardano: Crypto News Alert
From a Bitcoin pivot to a new warning from the founder of Cardano, here’s a look at some of the stories breaking in the world of crypto.
Bitcoin
Jan Van Eck, the CEO of VanEck Associates, told CNBC that Bitcoin traders are pivoting to gold in early 2019 after Bitcoin pulled some demand away from gold last year.
“We just polled 4,000 Bitcoin investors and their number one investment for 2019 is actually gold. So gold lost to Bitcoin, and now it’s going the other way.”
At the same time, the case for gold as a reliable store of value is taking a hit from crypto supporters, after the Bank of England denied Venezuela’s request to withdraw its gold, worth an estimated $1.2 billion.
Exclusive: The Bank of England has denied Maduro’s request to bring back $1.2 billion from its vaults, following requests from U.S. officials Pompeo and Bolton https://t.co/57WI0mDa61

Ripple and XRP
The fintech startup Transpaygo says it will use Ripple’s XRP-based xRapid to boost payments between Mexico and the Philippines. The Vienna-based company, which specializes in international payments for small and medium-sized enterprises, told the German tech outlet Der Brutkasten that xRapid generates significant time and money savings.
“Thanks to Ripple, we can tap the promising markets of Mexico and the Philippines in a whole new way for money transfers. In this partnership, we see the future: Safer and cheaper money transfers abroad, with payments that execute in a matter of minutes.
There is much debate in the financial industry about blockchain. But the potential has not been exploited, until now.”
Ethereum
The latest ConsenSys-sponsored Week in Ethereum blog post is out. This week’s edition covers a slew of developer updates as well as news on a number of Ethereum-based platforms, including Zilliqa and Kyber.
Litecoin
After refining the platform’s logo, the Litecoin Foundation just released a new set of detailed brand guidelines for supporters and companies to follow.
“This new look represents an exciting time in Litecoin’s history as it symbolizes new ambitions and the relentless drive to become globally adopted.”

First Strike: Eluric
His efforts were finally paying off. Lolocepu was being reckless with his snooping on the Ul’dahn Mafia on purpose. Finally, some of the their goons came after Cepu in a lonesome, dark alleyway to try and get the jump on him. Of course he was expecting them and defeated in the end, though being a bit beaten since it was about five of them. One of the men were generous enough to give him the information he needed to start his hunt. The person Cepu was looking for was Eluric. He knew he had a tavern that was rather wealthy, the taverns serving as a front for alloting money to different parts of the mafia,  but didn’t know how to get close to him without making a high profile. From the lacky he learned that Eluric needed a new personal bodyguard since his old one got arrested. He was told to say that a man named Gashi recommended him personally. Cepu left him with that, on the floor to die slowly from blood loss. From there, he laid low for a few nights and trained some, allowing himself to recover from his injuries and formulate his plan.
The night had finally came. It was a cold night, but everyone piled into the Grand Gil Bar for live music and cold drinks. Everyone bundled up in their coats, stripping once inside to expose their party attire on underneath. Lolocepu struts in, wearing a brown leather armored coat with a hood on. The hood did a good job at covering at least half of his face, the shadow of the hood descending down the rest of his face that wasn’t covered. The tavern was lively with live music playing, people up and dancing, some at the bar or at a table, and some noticeably drunk even though it was a bit early into the night. Cepu notes the staircase that is blocked off by a large Hyur man. He suspects Eluric was somewhere up the stairs, so he goes over to the guard. The guard giving him a scowl.
“I’m here for the bodyguard position. Gashi himself recommended me.” He says with his head down, showing the bodyguard the dagger used on his brother. The guard just nods and steps to the side. “Third floor, room to the right in the back.” He replies simply. Cepu walks up the stairs to the second floor. This seemed to be where the VIP section was. It was much calmer here than downstairs, and a bit classier. He continues to the third floor and takes his right, walking to the back, a small lalafell woman stood in front of the door.
“I’m the new bodyguard.” Cepu says immediately. She nods, not giving him any trouble considering since he was already up there he had to get past the first bodyguard. She gives the door a knock, and immediately a brash voice responds. “I’m kind of busy, give me a minute, would you?!” The man yells, likely Eluric. They both just stand at the door, every few seconds catching various noises that neither of them really wanted to hear. Cepu just stared off downstairs. After a while, the door opens, a hyur woman walking out of the room with full makeup on and well dressed, giving Cepu a side eye, but Cepu didn’t pay her any mind. He walks into the room and the door closes behind him. It was just him and Eluric, an average height and size Midlander wearing a fancy and seemingly expensive coat, a smug smile on him.
“Ah! A new bodyguard candidate eh? What makes you think you could make it with me?” Eluric ask brashly.
“I was recommended by Gashi.” Cepu responds in monotone.
“Gashi, eh? He’s never been one to disappoint. In that case, here is a bit of a test. Working with Gashi, I’m sure you’d know this with ease.” Eluric says with a mischievous smirk. “Which weapon does he use? A very simple question. I have to make sure you’re not lying after all.”  Cepu couldn’t even begin to fathom which weapon it would be. There were so many variants and he didn’t have a single idea who Gashi actually was. Eluric chuckles, pulling a shotgun out from behind his desk and walking over to Cepu, taking his hood off an looking into his eyes. Cepu stared back with his neutral, half lid eyes. Eluric scoffs and points the shotgun at Cepu’s head. Cepu didn’t react, he knew better.
“Before you do that..let me ask you, do you know about Yishida?” Cepu ask. Eluric looks a bit lost, a gun to his head and he seemingly wasn’t phased, but the name did send a spark. “Ah! Yishida! Leleno’s son, and..I’m guessing your mother.” He starts to laugh hysterically. “Ah! You came back for what, revenge I guess? I bet knowing that husband of hers, he didn’t tell you everything that happened, so since you’ll die here, why not, huh?” He shrugs and pulls the gun away, leaning onto the desk. Cepu had to control his anger and not bring the man to his knees with a single snap.
“Here’s what happened. Leno used to work for me. She was actually a very helpful asset, keeping track of money and sorts. She eventually asked to leave. Meeting your father and love and all, so we, naturally, denied her. She didn’t do anything about it at first. She went on about her life, getting pregnant, children, marriage, not in that order of course. But eventually she tried to leave again, saving up a hefty sum of gil to pay me off to leave. So, I permitted her on the terms that she’d pay me every month or so a lump sum to stay out, since that’s all I care about. She had it good, until she stopped paying, saying she’d paid enough and she needed to use the money for her family. Of course, no one in her family ever found out she worked with me. I was, naturally, not very happy and had her killed, drugging her dangerously high and sending her home, causing her to hallucinate and run wild, which ended in her death. Years later, here comes your brother trying to kill our boss. He had some balls, I’ll give him that, but he was put down by me. Good thing he was here with me on some business. This is delightful, I get to kill another one of Leno’s loved ones, since it seems your family doesn’t know how to act around superiors. Perhaps I should get to killing the other two as well, no loose ends and all that, right?” Eluric wore a wicked smile on his face and laughed at Cepu.
At this point, Cepu was pissed. Eluric pointed the shotgun at Cepu once again but before he could pull the trigger, Cepu snaps his fingers. The focus crystal on his gloves gave a purple shine and a area of lightning struck around Cepu, shocking Eluric badly and causing him to scream and drop the shotgun. The bodyguard burst into the room to see what was happening and pulls out two daggers, jumping at Cepu with them. Cepu dodged them and they began in close combat. Once Eluric recovered from the shock, he picks up the shotgun and fires it at Cepu, missing due to still being in shock. The bodyguard was good, sending a flurry of attacks at Cepu, but he kept dodging until he found an opening, striking her in the stomach with an open palm. From there she was wide open. A few jabs to the face and a powerful uppercut. He then focused on the next attack and hit her square in the chest, sending her back to the other side of the room, banging against the wall and being staggered to get up, breathing, but barely. His focus went to Eluric who shot again. The shot broke Cepu’s shield and he ran towards the man. He avoided the next flurry of shot and grabbed the barrel, channeling aether into his gloves and the gun freezing over and becoming useless. Before Cepu could strike, he heard another person enter, probably the other bodyguard. He turns, letting go of Eluric’s gun and sure enough it was. Crap. He shoots fire at the bodyguard in the doorway and he didn’t have enough time to retaliate, sending him back. In the time Cepu was turned, Eluric had jumped out the window, Cepu formed two sharp spears of ice and struck both bodyguard with them, killing them both. He goes through his desk and takes a folder labeled, “Important documents,” tucking it inside his jacket. He put his hood on and followed out the window. From the front entrance there was screaming heard. The patrons had heard the shooting and ran out. Eluric ran away from Cepu down the back alley and shot his pistol he kept tucked in his jacket behind him at him. Cepu dodges them and activates another shield, soaking up some shots. Eventually he ran out onto the Ruby Bazzar, many civilians yelling and looking for cover. He kept running out almost reaching Quicksand. Cepu finally got tired of chasing and shot two powerful fires at the ground, launching him forward and grabbing Eluric on the head, and with a quick channel of aether, let thunder course through his entire body, his loud scream could be heard out from Central Thanalan surely. They both hit the ground. He died there, but there was a big scene.
Quickly, Brass Blades gathered around to move in on Cepu. He snapped again once the blades were close and set off his area of thunder. None of them were hit but they staggered. Cepu then blew up two fires and let the smoke cover him. He aimed towards what he hopes is the gate and once again set two fires off under him and launched towards the gate and ran out. The Brass Blades followed, though Cepu found a way to hide. He found a tall patch of grass, taller than him and dived into it and took off his hood. Luckily, his hair was perfect for blending in, so they passed him, thinking he’d gotten far. He waited some moments before teleporting to Limsa. Once he did, he felt his side. As they were running seems a shot got through his shield and his leather armor. He was bleeding. He pressed a hand against the wound and made his way to the Bismark, hood on again. Once in the inn, he stripped and bandaged himself, then went through the files he found. The filed had every important member of the mafia group and the plans and details of different jobs. He decided to take a bit of a break and passed out on the bed, wrapped in his bandage, and exhausted.

Kosovo PM sacks security chief,
interior minister over Turkish arrests
PRISTINA (Reuters) - Kosovo Prime Minister Ramush Haradinaj dismissed on Friday the interior minister and the secret service chief after the arrest and extradition to Turkey of six Turkish nationals.

The prime minister had said he was not informed about the operation to deport the six, who were arrested in Kosovo on Thursday over links to schools financed by the Fethullah Gulen movement that Ankara blames for a failed 2016 coup. “The entire operation - revoking their residence permits, detention, emergency deportation and the secret extradition to Turkey of the six Turkish citizens from Kosovo territory - was conducted without my knowledge and without my permission,” Haradinaj said in a statement. It was not immediately when replacements for Interior Minister Flamur Sefaj and secret service chief Driton Gashi would be named. At its peak, the Gulen movement operated schools in 160 countries from Afghanistan to the United States. Since the coup attempt, Turkey has pushed allies to close Gulen-run establishments. Kosovo has faced pressure from Turkey in past weeks to take action against schools funded by the Gulen movement. Ankara said the six arrested in Kosovo on Thursday were responsible for recruitment in Gulen’s network and helped people accused of connections to the network leave Turkey during a security crackdown in which tens of thousands of people have been sacked from their jobs or jailed over alleged Gulen links. Ankara accuses Gulen, a U.S.-based Muslim cleric, of orchestrating the July 15, 2016 coup attempt, and has declared his movement a terrorist organization. He denies any connection with the abortive putsch.

Araik Marutjan debütierte in Wangen.
