Heya Leone! Hope you’ve been having a good (or survivable) week so far! Here’s two questions that have been on my mind for quite some time:

We know that Aretas and Laverna get a good stream of admirers, but how’s it look for the rest of the ROs? Do people tend to get crushes on/court them often? 🤔

Shoutout to Amatus for gracefully gifting his Ducklings the gift of Being Hot by simply growing up near him btw

Thank you, I've been preoccupied with staying warm, but I can't complain!

Okay this is a cool question, let's see:

Sarai:

(Some have tried to get with her and very few have lived to tell the tale.)

When Aretas was young, many nobles wanted to approach and control a young, politically vulnerable widow. They did not succeed. Now people at court are either too resentful of her power or too afraid to risk the ire of the Aretas to try anything. Still, she has many admires who still appreciate a beautiful woman. She gets love letters, gifts, and marriage proposal's from other kingdoms.

Sutek:

(If he wanted to, he could be getting busy on the regular and have a whole family.)

In the Jackal territory and other parts of Lower Cusmo, he's viewed as a catch. Idir wishes that Sutek would take advantage of his position as guild leader and followed his example, but Sutek keeps mostly to himself. He rebuffs people's advances, assuming people feel obligated or have ulterior motives for approaching him, but he doesn't do it in a cruel way. Unfortunately for him, this only increases his appeal.

Desma:

(She's had some casual flings and broken several hearts because she's careless when it comes to people's feelings. Unless you're one of the ducklings.)

Her intense connection with the ducklings, especially if she has feelings for the MC, makes it hard for her to invest too heavily in other people on an emotional level. The Talons are her family/friends and a roll in the sheets is good fun. Any of the people in Cusmo that thought there could be something more usually found themselves with empty pockets, no palpata, and Desma's confusion about what else they expected.

Merikh:

(People have been interested, but he's too unavailable for it to go anywhere. Plus his ex...was not the best.)

He has that whole broodingly handsome thing going on that has caused people to be interested, but he usually is too busy sulking and thinking about vengeance for it to go anywhere. He's dismissive of the attention he gets at best and at worst he's hostile. People that have been around him long enough to have a crush are usually crushed by his blunt refusal of a confession.

Nari:

(She has some quiet admirers, one closer than others, but most people don't view her that way.)

Ever since she began to follow in her father's footsteps, her marriage proposals have withered away to almost nothing and the offers she does receive are more disrespectful than flattering. She doesn't think any interest people express in her is genuine and has all but given up hoping for it. This has caused her to miss some of the people that are interested, but not vocal.

Heka:

(People are definitely interested, he just doesn't know it.)

He has grown up in a temple and is somewhat oblivious to his good looks. People gives monks food all of the time, so he thinks all of the nice ladies in some of the villages they help out at are just very kind to offer him dinner and baskets of fruit. When he was younger, some of the other monks called him a pretty boy, but that was usually trash talk before a scuffle broke out, so he assumes they're being sarcastic.

P.S. Oh my goodness you're right! Amatus is proof that being hot is contagious haha!

Been reading Honor Amongst Thieves by @leoneliterary!! Absolutely adore the characters and of course had to get myself to draw my girl Desma.

Totally recommend HAT is SO good. Very engaging. (Tho I’m still getting through like— the second chapter be patient with me 🙏)

🎃I decided, for Halloween this year, i wanted to draw some of my OCs in classic Halloween Costumes(tm)

this first one is Desma (”human” warlock) as a scarecrow, and there’s more under the cut🎃

Nava (shadow elf rogue) as a low-effort catgirl (she’s not big on being noticed)

Arissa (tiefling rogue/bard), as a skeleton, is fun with being noticed

Merileth (tiefling, no RP class, she’s a side character I just happen to adore) as an angel

Annika (tiefling, ranger) as a pirate

Sohra (aasimar, divine soul sorcerer) as a vampire

Lua (triton, druid) attempting a mummy costume (with Fierro the Warrior Crab attempting to help) (they are both bad at this)

and finally, the FIRST piece in this set I did, Theria (air genasi storm sorcerer) as a cute witch

Desma - Il videoclip di “Fuori dal tempo”

Esce su YouTube il video del nuovo singolo della rock band bresciana

“Fuori dal tempo” è un brano ispirato alla storia di Henry Molaison che, dopo essere stato sottoposto ad un'operazione all'ippocampo, non riuscì più ad immagazzinare ricordi. Legandosi a questo fatto, il messaggio di fondo del testo sottolinea l'importanza della memoria nella formazione dell'identità personale e nelle relazioni con gli altri. Senza la possibilità di immagazzinare ricordi è molto difficile creare una propria identità e quindi vivere una vita sociale soddisfacente, ritrovandosi per forza di cose "fuori dal tempo".

Il videoclip, realizzato da Mauri Epis e Giovanni Zanotti (Latte&menta), racconta la relazione affettiva tra due ragazze, interpretate da Giulia Casotto e Claudia Saini.

Dopo un evento traumatico riguardante una delle due, varie conseguenze si ripercuotono sulla vita dell'altra che non è più non è più in grado di visualizzare in maniera lucida i ricordi (o forse decide volutamente di cancellarli come metodo di autodifesa per proteggersi dal dolore).

I really need to talk about my dnd character for my next campaign but I can’t actually talk about it with my party for reasons that will become obvious so you’re getting it. (First of all though you must understand I approach dnd as a place to put all my characters who I reckon are too self-indulgent to write in a story. So yes I am aware the backstory has many cliche elements but shhh shh let me have this.)

So my character, I say pulling out my well-filled character sheet, Laverne, is a sorcerer from a noble family whose younger sister was accidentally killed in an explosion of wild magic five years ago. Even though it wasn’t Laverne’s fault, she feels guilty for not being able to protect her sister, so she set out on a journey to better understand her powers. She is the Elle Woods of the fantasy world, she has a heart of gold and a surprisingly high intelligence, she is charming and friendly and loves pink, her last name is Butterbiscuits and she (if I can manage it), has a strong Southern accent. She is Lawful Good, and a delight.

What a lovely character, you say. LIES AND DECEPTION, I cry in response, pulling out a second, even more filled, character sheet, with identical stats but a completely different magic system. Laverne is ACTUALLY Desma, the daughter of an evil queen mother and an insane king father, who ran away as a teenager in an attempt to find some way to save her people. She looked into magic, originally doing Wizard stuff, but on following a corrupted ley-line, she stumbled across a half-covered summoning circle. Being an idiot (low wis despite high int) seventeen-year-old she tried to fix it up just to see what happens and accidentally summoned a demon without any power to control it. Rather than kill her, however, the demon offered her a deal, he gives her magic in return for her doing stuff for him, and she can back out whenever she wants! It just means she’ll lose that magic again! Remember how I said she’s an idiot? well now she’s a warlock idiot.

(The catch, of course, is that whenever she does anything morally wrong for this dude, he owns a little more of her soul. She can only back out before all of her soul is sold of. The danger isn’t the power of the demon, it’s his ability to manipulate her into doing things she knows are morally wrong).

Laverne is a complete deception! Which explains why she seems a bit thin! And the most fun thing about it all is that only my dm knows, none of the other players know! And I WILL have to pretend to use sorcerer spells with only my two assigned warlock spell-slots this WILL be difficult thankfully we’re all pretty new at this so nobody really knows how magic works so probably won’t call me out for it.
