Tumblr media
When the horse led you through the gates of the Kingdom, you truly did feel like you were entering one. You felt more level-headed when they’d given you food and water on the ride back.
There were people around, and you tried to take in as much as possible. Gardens and schoolchildren were sitting outside. There was a choir singing somewhere. And there was laughter. So much laughter.
When you saw Morgan standing with a blond haired boy, you wanted to cry at the familiar sight. You climbed off the horse and set Tora down before running to Morgan.
“(Y/N),” Morgan laughed when you crushed him into a hug. You were never particularly close to him, but he was a part of your group and your family.
“Dianne said Daryl was here and supposed to stay here. Where is he?” You asked desperately as you pulled away from the hug.
But the look on his face was enough to tell you he wasn’t here. “He left this morning. I’m sorry. “
You laughed, though, for the first time in a while. “It’s okay. It’s okay. He got out. He went to Hilltop, right?”
Morgan nodded and smiled at you. “Yes. Come on, we need to have the doctor look at you. And you will need to meet the King.”
You looked at Morgan in confusion as he wrapped his arm around your shoulders. “The who?”
***
After getting an all-clear from the Kingdom’s doctor, and scarfing down as much food as you and Tora possibly could, Morgan led you to where the King was. You learned his name was Ezekiel, and he was a bit out there.
But Morgan vouched for him, so you followed him into the ‘throne room’ with Tora by your side. When you walked into the room, your eyes widened, and you grabbed Morgan’s arm at the sight of a tiger.
“What the fuck?” You breathed out.
“Fair maiden,” King Ezekiel shouted, “I am honored to have you a guest in our fair Kingdom. I welcome you. And your furry beast.”
You glanced at Tora, and started jogging up to catch her before she ventured too close to an animal that could kill her in a second. “I uh, um, thank you, sir. Your honor. King.” You stumbled over your words.
“Our dear friends from the great Alexandria told me of your situation, and what happened. Although the Kingdom did not play a part in your troubles, you have its sorrow and thought.” King Ezekiel said.
“Thank you,” You said, running your hand through Tora’s fur and trying to keep her settled. “I like your tiger.”
King Ezekiel smiled, “Her name is Shiva. And yours?”
“This is Tora; she’s been with me since before. Shiva?”
“The same as you,” The king said. He stood up and quietly told the man to his right something. You assumed it was to put Shiva somewhere because the man took the chains and led the big cat out of the room.
Then he gracefully jumped from the stage and approached you. You got a better look at his face and admired it for a moment as he scratched Tora behind the ear. “I invite you and Tora to spend the eve with us here at the Kingdom. I can imagine you must want to get to the Hilltop as quick as you can. But I insist you take the night to recover.”
You glanced at Morgan, and he nodded, so you did as well. You were almost friends. You knew it. You knew in your bones that you didn’t have anything to fear from the Kingdom or its people. Morgan was here; he obviously liked it here. You were with friends. And that made you smile the biggest smile. “We can stay.”
***
King Ezekiel requested your presence after Morgan settled you in a room across from his. You opted to leave Tora in the room for a little while because you weren’t sure where the tiger was and didn’t want to risk it.
Dianne came by with the message from the King, and she also brought you a fresh set of clothes. You’d never been more thankful when she told you to wash up first and brought you to the showers.
So now, twenty minutes later, you were dressed in a black tank top and a flannel, leggings, and a near pair boots. They were used, but it made it better, because they were already worn in.
The King sat across from you, and Morgan and a guy named Jerry sat with you.
“Tell me, miss (Y/N), how you came to be with your group? I would love to know your tale.”
You didn’t have any hesitation about telling him. Aside from the fact that you already considered him a friend, you felt like you could trust him and this place. So you told him about your life before and after the world's end. You told him about the prison after it ended and watched their horrified expression as you told them about Terminus.
You didn’t tell them about the people you lost because even though it’s been some time, all the wounds reopened when discussed.
And then, finally, you told them about Alexandria, how you got there, and what happened afterward.
Your story took you through dinner, an assortment of chicken, and the freshest vegetables you’ve had in a long time. It was mouth-watering. You made sure to fold plenty of the chicken into a napkin, so you could take it to Tora.
“Your journey is of greatness, and I am honored to have such a warrior amongst us,” The King said.
“Do you like cobbler?” Jerry asked you.
“Jerry,” The King said.
Their exchange made you laugh, and you looked at Jerry, “Yes, I do.”
***
You sat with the King, Morgan, and Jerry for quite some time before the King suggested he give you a tour. You weren’t sure there was a point to it because you would be leaving in the morning, but you accepted because he made you feel like a friend. And with Sherry gone and not seeing your family in weeks, you desperately needed it.
King Ezekiel showed you around the Kingdom, with Jerry and Morgan following closely behind. He pointed out the gardens, the apartments where most everyone resided. He should you the wells for water, in case you needed some, and the training ground for their ‘royal army’. You could see how proud he was. You believed him to be an accomplished leader.
The sun was nearly set when the tour ended outside the building you would be staying in. You thanked both Jerry and the King profusely.
“In the morn, I will have Dianne pack your supplies for the road and give you a weapon. I cannot, in good conscience, let you go out without one.” King Ezekiel said. “And, of course, my people know the way to the Hilltop. I will have a map provided and see if they can get you a car.”
“I don’t know how to repay you for this, but thank you, King Ezekiel.” You told him.
He and Jerry bid their goodnights, and you and Morgan entered the building.
“I feel like I’m in a fairytale here,” You playfully joked. “But I actually like it. It’s fun.”
“Many people do, I think that’s why they go along with it,” Morgan told you as you walked.
When you got to the doors, you looked at Morgan. “Rick was here to get them to fight, wasn’t he? And the King said no?”
Morgan nodded, and you could see the contemplation on his face. “The Hilltop stands with Alexandria. Rick asked me to talk to the King about joining, but…”
You nodded, knowing how he felt about killing. “I think he will. He just needs to be pushed. Goodnight, Morgan. I’ll see you in the morning.”
***
Dianne brought you a bag with more than enough supplies in the morning. Enough to last you for at least a week. You made her take a decent amount of it back. You couldn’t take advantage of their hospitality like that.
You met with the King for one last meal together, and while he tried to persuade him to stay, you wouldn’t budge. So he led you to the front gate, where a few guards were waiting. They succeeded in bringing you a car.
“Thank you, King Ezekiel. Really.” You said. “I don’t think I’ve met someone like you for a long while. I really hope I get to see you again.” You told him.
The King smiled and bid his goodbye, and you gave Morgan and even Jerry a hug. Then you and Tora climbed into the car. With one last look in the rearview mirror, you left the Kingdom, and headed towards home.

MASTERLIST ǁ PART TWO
Tumblr media
The sun was about to set, when you saw the walls of the Kingdom appear in the distance. You stopped the beautiful brown horse you sat upon, just for a moment to watch the orange-reddish sun go down and get replaced by the moon. You'd never get tired of watching sunsets... Never. Not even in a world like this. Unfortunately got your moment of peace and silence interrupted by an all too familiar groan and snarl, followed by the sound of heavy steps through the high grass. You sighed and looked to your left, seeing a single walker making its way over to you. He was not quite fast, due to the fact that his right leg was almost completely sliced up. Anyways, it was time to go. "Come on, buddy." You gently nudged the horse's side with your legs, causing the strong animal to start walking again. Leaving the lonely walker easily behind yourself, you made your way to the gates of the Kingdom, which got immediately opened for you to ride in. "Hey, Y/N." Dianne greeted you with a small smile. "Dianne." You nodded at her, smiling as well. "Carol is already waiting for you in the cinema." The archer said, as you descended from your horse. "Thought so." "Go, meet her. I'll take care of this one." Dianne said, patting the animal's neck with one hand and taking the rein in her other hand. You gave her another nod. "Thanks." You expected to be already awaited by Carol, since you promised her to be here by noon. Well... Nightfall wasn't exactly noon. Unfortunately, there were a few things who got in the way and - let's say you got a bit... distracted as well.
"Carol, hey." You greeted her, walking down the aisle between the rows of seats, direction stage. "Y/N! Finally!" She stormed towards you immediately, "I already was afraid that something might've happened to you!" and hugged you tightly. "'M sorry, Carol. There were a few walker incidents and... other things I came across."
You had made the journey from Alexandria to the Kingdom, because you promised your friends to help them with their problems. The Kingdom was more than less falling apart so slowly. Especially the old, rusty and brittle pipe system worried the people. As chance would have it, your dad had been a plumber and you learned how to forge in Hilltop from Earl almost a year ago, so...
"Other things you came across?" Your friend, which whom you've known for years now asked with a raised eyebrow, crossing her arms over her chest. "What is that supposed to mean?" "Well, um-" "No, no, wait a second... I know that face." She said, starting to smirk, "Is this 'other thing you came across' coincidentally named Daryl?" and wiggling her eyebrows.
Carol knew, of course, just like your other closest friends, that you and Daryl basically were a thing. You were already living in Alexandria, when Rick and his group joined the community. The strong and tough, yet shy and loyal archer caught your sight immediately; harbouring a schoolgirl crush on him since then. It only got worse when he taught you how to fight, after the Wolves attacked and the big herd of walkers, flooding through the gates of Alexandria. Someway, somehow you managed to get closer to him, tearing down these walls he had built around him. You took it slow, gave him all the time he needed; taking step after step - and well... At some point you kind of just... got together. He was the man you never knew you needed in your life – and suddenly there he was. The man you never thought you were going to find, and due to the end of the world, did.
A sad sigh left your lips, as you hung your head and shook it. "No... I wish it would've been like this... I haven't seen him in weeks - months..." "I'm sorry, Y/N. I didn't know, I..." You shook your head once again and looked up to meet Carol's eyes. "No, don't worry. It's alright." She saw of course the tears, which had started to gather in your eyes and placed immediately a hand on your shoulder. "It clearly isn't. Come." Carol nodded towards the seats and guided you over, where you two sat down in the first row. "Spill it. What happened?" You took a deep breath and rested your head in your hands. "Nothing particularly, I... I don't know. It's just... I'm afraid I might lose him. Since Rick's death, he distanced himself. You know what I'm talking about..." Carol's face held a compassionate, yet sad gaze as she nodded. "I understand that. Gods, I never could not understand it. He lost his brother that day. A part of his family - of his history. I know that he had to do this... Go out there, live in the woods and search for Rick, but... That was almost two years ago." You said with a sigh. "I miss him, Carol. I miss spending time with him. I miss going out to hunt with him. I miss driving around with him on his bike. I miss him, sleeping next me. I feel so cold at night. So lonely. I miss his presence, his attention, his warm embraces... I miss how he used to kiss me; how he used to hold me after we..." You trailed off, as you realised what you were going to say. Not that you didn't trust your friend, but you didn't want to spill the secrets of your more intimate interactions with Daryl. "You know..." You just said instead, lowering your head again, fumbling with your fingers.
Once more you felt the gentle touch of the woman's hand on your shoulder. "I know, Y/N... I know what you mean. I noticed it as well. He shuts himself more and more off." She stated with a sad tone in her voice. If someone knew, then it was Carol. After all, she and Daryl were the definition of best friends. "I would just join him, you know... Living with him in the woods, probably search for a sweet, little hut to live there, but I know that he wouldn't want this. I know that he needs space and time to heal the gaping wound Rick left behind. He needs - wants to do this alone. And besides, he wouldn't want me to risk my life. He feels better when I'm behind the safe walls of Alexandria, so..." You paused for a short moment. "I let him be. I have no other choice. It just scares the shit outta me, you know. I often find myself laying awake at night, thinking that something could happen to him out there. What if he gets himself hurt or attacked by a herd of walkers? Or God forbid, what if he comes across bad people and gets killed? What if he dies? I am afraid I might lose him - no..." You felt a tear running down your cheek. "I'm afraid I already lost him..." Carol had been quiet until now, listened closely and patiently what you clearly had to get off your chest. "Y/N... I understand your fears and worries, but we both know that Daryl is a survivor. If someone can survive out there alone, it's him." Then she reached for your hand, took it in hers and gave it a reassuring squeeze. "And I can assure you that you didn't lose him. Every time I visit him, all he does is asking about you. Asks how you are and what you've been up to lately. He wants to make sure that you are safe and healthy. And every time I tell him about you, I can see how his face lights up and how that soft, rare smile appears on his face. I can see the love in his eyes, Y/N. He's never lost it. Never." You sobbed at her words, wiping away the tears and feeling your heart ache for the man you learned to love so much. "R-Really?" She gave you a small smile, nodding. "Really." You couldn't help but to break out into a smile as well. Daryl was still here - and he still loved you and cared about you. "Do you... Do you know where he is? Last time I wanted to visit him at his old place, he was gone... I-I gotta see him." Your friend nodded. "I just saw him last week. I know where he is." Carol showed you on a map, where the river was located, at which Daryl was currently staying at. "Thank you, Carol." She smiled at you. "Of course, Y/N. Can't let my favourite couple just split apart, can I? But don't tell him I was the one who told you. You know that he just wants you to be safe." A soft giggle left your lips, "Promise." before you both made your way towards the Kingdom's pipe problem, taking a look at the damage.
On the next morning, you were beginning to work on fixing the problem, together with a few other members of the Kingdom. Thoughts were running wildly through your head; heart thudding against your ribcage, as you worked on the old, unstable pipe system to somehow get it fixed - but you just couldn't concentrate. The fact that you were now able to see him again sent your body and feelings into overdrive. You couldn't wait to feel his callous, but gentle hands enveloping yours. You couldn't wait to wrap your arms around his strong, broad body. You couldn't wait to taste his lips with yours again and hopefully just dive into the depths of the love you shared with him. All you could think about was him - which you got punished for. "Ouch!" You yelped, as the hammer didn't come down on the metal, but on your thumb. You hissed and let go of the piece of metal and took a look at the damage. "Y/N?! Everything alright?!" Carol's voice urged to your ears, from around the corner. "Yeah, fine!" You called out, reassuring her. "Just accidentally hit my thumb." "You sure?" "Yeah!"
Unfortunately, this wasn't the only 'incident' that happened to you that day. You just weren't able to focus on the task ahead... "Y/N, I think you should stop working for today."  Carol stated, approaching you with her arms crossed over her chest. "But I-" "No." She shook her head interrupting you and shaking her head. "You are absent-minded. So slowly I'm afraid you are really going to hurt yourself badly - or damage the already damaged pipes even more, so..." You looked at her, eyes fill with sorrow. You already wanted to apologise and tell her, that you'd try to focus now, but Carol was faster. "Go to him." She said, a smile spread over her face. You blinked. "B-But... I promised to help you..." "Yes, but not in the moment. I know you want to see Daryl, so go, have a wonderful night with him and come back to help us. Deal?" You breathed out a soft laugh, nodding. "Deal." You grabbed your things and Carol's map; and immediately went to the stables to get your horse. Securing your knives to your belt and slinging your bow and arrows over your shoulder, you sat up on the brown stallion. "Let's go, find him." The guards on the gates let you out, closing the steel 'door' behind you.
As fast as possible you rode towards the river, navigating through the woods. It was another thing you learned from Daryl. Using maps correctly - and in that moment, you were more than just grateful that he taught you that.
When you saw a tent appearing in distance and something that looked like a mini camp, you descended from the horse and decided to walk the last distance. You could clearly tell that it was Daryl's camp, what caused your lips to curl into a bright smile. You quickened your steps, impatient on seeing him finally again. You could already hear that deep, gruff southern voice of his, making your heart beat faster. You didn't waste a thought on who he was talking to. Why would you? Your brain was clouded with sheer happiness and utter joy to see your man again. But then you reached the mini camp - and suddenly that thought you discarded mere seconds ago came back to you and hit you harder than a bullet ever could. Daryl sat by the river, surrounded by colourful leaves, which had fallen from the trees. His angel-winged vest seemed like to shimmer in the warm autumn sun. He had his arms wrapped around his legs; gaze directed on the quiet and peaceful river - but he wasn't alone. A woman with light brown hair was sitting next to him. She was laughing and smiling and to you, they seemed to be pretty close. Like in a trance, you took a few cautious steps forward, like you hadn't seen enough already. Like your heart wasn't about to break any second.
You witnessed with tears in your eyes, how the woman placed a hand on his shoulder and leaned closer to peck his cheek. In that moment, you felt how your heart clattered to the ground, shattering into a million pieces. You couldn't believe this. You never thought Daryl was the type to cheat, but well... Apparently you were wrong about this - about him.
Sure, you could've just left without a single word, but the disappointment and anger you felt inside you wouldn't have it. "So that's what you've been doing all those months, distancing yourself from me. I see..." You spoke up, desperately trying to sound cold and hiding the quiver in your voice. Your words caught immediately both their attention, of course, causing them to spin around to face you. While you could clearly see all the colour draining from Daryl's face in shock, was the woman looking at you confused. "Y/N..." Your name on his lips sounded suddenly so utterly wrong... Before you knew it, the man literally jumped to his feet, already making his way over to you, his heavy boots hitting the wooden ground. "Y/N, 'm sorry, this... This isn't how it looks, gods, I swear, I..." He tried to desperately explain himself, but the damage was done. For you, it was more than clear. You had connected the dots. Daryl reached for you, placed his hands gently on your arms, but you flinched away from his touch, "D-Don't..." and took a few steps backwards. Panic flashed in his blue eyes. "I-I have seen enough a-and now I really know why you s-shut yourself off." With those words you turned around to leave. You hadn't the strength to look at him - or her for even a minute longer. Daryl came of course after you, once again tried to explain everything and apologise, but the lot of his words never reached you. You felt like numbed; only acting on instinct. "Y/N, please..." You ignored him and sat on your horse. "I-I love ya!" Daryl said, clearly desperate. The words stung in your heart. "Really? Doesn't seem like it." You answered, tears blurring your vision, before you gently nudged the sides of the stallion. "Y/N!" He called your name once again, but without looking back, you rode away.
You didn't hear the heart-breaking scream, which left Daryl's lips. "Goddamit!" Why was he such a damn idiot? The archer asked himself, on the verge of breaking down. Once again, he fucked everything up. Once again, he made a mistake, which caused him to lose the only good thing in his life. The woman he loved so much.
a/n: Perhaps there is going to be a part 2? 👀

The right allies make us stronger. This world belongs to us, not the dead. Meeting all of you, hearing all your stories, has confirmed what I've always believed. There is a natural order to things that has vanished, and that order needs to be restored. It provides a future for our kids. 15 million little city-states fighting each other for power and resources is never going to be able to provide that kind of stability. I'm offering you the same thing your mutual protection pact with Oceanside did. Someone who has your back.

Twd 11x23 thoughts (I know I'm not emotionally prepared for this) ((spoilers)):
-it doesn't feel like this is the 2nd to last episode, I can't believe it
-that shot of all the weapons in one box is iconic honestly
-lori, CARL, RICK AND MICHONNE mention, yeah I knew I wouldn't be able to handle this
-she put the hat on R.J's head😭
-rosita is gonna be a ruthless bitch this episode right? Please give me that
-oh dianne is here? Where has she beeeeeeen all this time
-that tiny little crumb of ezekiel saying goodbye to nabila and gracie?? Literally a crumb but I love it
-daryl literally cannot say no to Judith can he. And then there's lil r.j who just has to get passed around between the babysitters
-yay mercer go fuck shit up<3
-"is that your faith talking?" "In you, yes" okay look I never cared about rosita/gabriel but I have to admit that was cute
-i feel so bad for aaron and his lil group, like everyone else is back together and then there's these guys still out here, they better be back with the main group before the end of the show. Actually I just had a depressing thought, what if they all die and never make it
-"yet I smile" stop I will cry, ezekiel really did beat all the odds
-"you all are better than me" okay look I am not a negan apologist and I dislike how some people literally suck his dick and forget everything he did, but i do love his arc lately of being self aware and knowing that he did shit and trying to be better for no reason other than to be decent, that little conversation with ezekiel really did pull at my heartstrings
-omg did Maggie hear all that too?
-all these conversations about the Grimes fam are making me emotional
-lmao @ mercer and yumiko acting their asses off in front of this other commonwealth girl
-LYDIA OH MY GOD???? NOT HER
-oh my god don't cut to another scene and leave me hanging like that???
-jerry yelling "dude stop" in the most dire of situations is the most Jerry thing ever
-that scene was almost unbearable, wtf
-lydia is gonna regret all the time she spent hanging out with Aaron because now they're twinning
-jokes aside, oh my god, I mean I'm glad she hasn't just been killed off completely because it could have been worse but yikes
-so sick seeing the whole group working together to infiltrate, reminds me of the earlier seasons
-variant walkers u are cool but this is NOT THE TIME to mess things up
-oh no eugene is fucked
-oh he's not fucked, GO EUGENE!
-i love u jerry please dont die but also i feel like hes gonna because he just said the cursed words "see you on the other side"
-ahh yes the usual killing of all the redshirts while all the mains somehow dont get shot
-and now mercer being arrested? oh this is all going to shit isn't it
-i love a good gunfight though
-also just thought how terrifying it must be for connie who literally can't hear any of this???
-OKAY GIRLIES THIS IS WILD PAMELA WHAT THE FUCK??? Judith literally shoved maggie out of the way to save her?? Stop it rewind right now
-but love how everyone went absolutely psychotic trying to shoot Pamela after she did that, it's what she deserves
-negans reaction to the variant walker just about sums it up
-love luke running up with a smile but like sorry bro we don't have time for smiles and reunions right now
Okay holy shit this whole post was a mess but
-judith shot? everyone desperate to kill Pamela? some guy accidentally opened the gates and let the walkers in? the walkers climbing the walls? Everyone penned in surrounded by the massive horde? Mercers been arrested? Aaron, Lydia, Jerry and elijah all still out there somewhere? We still don't know wtf happened to the oceanside people? now this is the kind of absolute chaos I want for the finale! Also I'm so glad amc apparently aren't releasing the finale early because for once in my life I can avoid being spoiled a whole week early

TWD Rewatch S.8 Pt.1
I want a bottle episode of Gregory. I hate him but it is downright comical how no one respects him. People make fun of him for his inability to kill walkers, Kal drove him halfway to the Sanctuary and then left him on the road when he realized what Gregory was doing. Hilltop was deadass not going to let him in. I want to see how he met Jesus, the Saviors, etc. I also want to see him when he worked in the chamber of commerce.
The secondary characters of the Kingdom are treasures. I love Jerry and Dianne. Dianne is out here like “hey my sister had that dress that walker is in” and “no I can’t make that shot sorry”
On baby Gracie - do you think Aaron ever told her about how she was found and that his group likely murdered her biological parents? Do you think anyone alive like Alden or Negan knew her biological parents?
On Aaron - I respect that after Eric’s death, Aaron said “I am gonna keep going and do what needs to be done” and that he adopted a baby. That’s survivor mentality and Eric would approve.
negan tells Gabe that in Virginia the hot sun cooks the walkers and the guts frequently “infect” people. Gabe says “we’re from Georgia” and Negan says “lucky you” this implies that in Georgia there isn’t the same problem. Gabe gets deathly ill from Virginia walker guts. I assume all guts are disguising but why are the Virginia guts worse than Georgia guts? (they’re both hot states…)
I disagree with Jesus taking dozens of saviors hostage. Alden is a good kid but I don’t think a single other worker-savior here is good news. This is war. Take them and drop them off in the woods, tied together if you can’t kill them.

TWD 10x15 The Tower Q&A
Spoilers below....
1. Where did everyone from Alexandria go? How do they know the horde is coming? They all packed up and went to an abandoned hospital, which, for some reason, they keep calling "the tower". I'm not sure why, but the two has to be the same place because the EMERGENCY sign is shown to be on the main building, where they are, but at the same time, inside the building, Negan makes a direct comment on "moving to an abandoned tower". 2. Is Negan now being accepted by the Alexandrians? Does someone vouch for him? This isn't a specific topic. He's shown cooking, but he has no dialogue with anyone but Lydia. 3. Does Judith tell anyone about Michonne leaving to find Rick? What are their reactions? I don't think she told anyone. She tells Daryl that she spoke to Michonne after the fire and that she said she has to go help some people she met because they need her. Judith says nothing further about this, so I got the impression that up until that point, she hadn't told Daryl about her convo with Michonne at all. 4. What’s Judith and Daryl doing out in the woods? Judith tells him that she wants to learn what he does. Then, she gets upset over a Whisperer who Daryl abandons in a ditch. She tells Daryl she wants to be back home with her family. She's worried Michonne isn't coming back and she's worried Daryl would leave too. He tells her he can't promise otherwise because he can't lie to her, but that she has a whole lot of family back home. I think Daryl has some great lines in this scene. 5. What is Lydia doing in this episode? How does she react to Alpha’s death? Is Negan the one to tell her? She's busy sulking at the hospital. We don't see her first reaction because she seems to already know. But she's upset at Negan for trying to dictate her how she should be feeling or reacting. After snapping at him, he holds her and comforts her. 6. What do Judith and Lydia talk about? Judith tells her she's sorry about her mother's death, asks her if she misses her, Lydia tells her that not everyone gets to have a mom like Judith's. 7. Is Doggo still a good boy? VERY! He gets so many pettings from Carol. 8. Do Carol and Daryl talk? What do they discuss? They have no dialogue in this episode. Daryl is outside the whole time. 9. What happens with Aaron and Alden in the windmill? They are spying on Beta and the horde, making sure they are still headed for Oceanside, as expected. They stay on their tail to make sure they are on track, but when Beta and the horde change course, Aaron and Alden are apparently captured by the Whisperers. 10. Does anyone die? How? Daryl kills a Whisperer who has left the group on her own because she thinks Beta has "lost it" after what happened to Alpha. She begs Daryl to let her turn, but Daryl kills her because she has no useful information to give them. 11. What is Beta’s plan? Does he make it to Oceanside? We don't know. He seems to hear walkers talking to him in his head. He doesn't make it to Oceanside because he decides that they are not foolish and that they are expecting them, so they end up changing course for the hospital. 12. Do we learn anything about Connie’s fate? No. 13. Is Daryl aware that Magna made it out of the cave? This is not shown but I think he must be because Magna is at the hospital too. I assume Daryl also got there with everyone and then left by himself to walk the perimeter. 14. Is there a plan in place on how to deal with Beta and the horde? Yes, but we never find out what it is because apparently the plan needs the horde to be at Oceanside, but Beta changes direction and that's that. 15. What’s up with Princess in this episode? Do Eugene, Yumiko, and Ezekiel let her join them? Princess decides to take a detour and gets the gang in a mine field because she was having too much fun and didn't want it to end. Obviously, it backfires. She also promises them transportation, "wheels", which turn out to be bicycles. She gets on Yumiko's last nerve and has an arrow pointed at her face, so she tells them that she was just too scared they'd leave again. Eugene sympathizes with her and in the end, it's Yumiko who asks her to join them. 16. What happens during their journey? We leave things off with them once they ask Princess to join them. We don't see the rest of the journey. 17. Do they finally meet Stephanie? If so, what is she like? No. 18. Anything else interesting? - Carol and Kelly go outside to get some wiring from a car for Luke who is busy building something because "everyone is counting on him". Once outside on the road and inside the car, Carol apologizes to Kelly, Kelly says she believes Connie is alive and that she understands why Carol did all of it. - There's a cat in this episode and I think we're led to believe that the poor thing is the reason why Beta realizes that everyone is at the hospital. He sees the cat running in the forest and starts going off about "faith" and "reward". I think they follow the cat to the hospital. Extras: Didn’t see Rosita at the hospital. Gabriel is at the tower and we do see him there, learning sign language from Kelly and telling Dianne that it's her turn to watch. I didn't see RJ either. Regarding the ending of the episode: While Daryl and Judith are out in the woods, Daryl gets a radio call from Gabriel, but he's breaking up and Daryl can't hear him clearly. He mentions "being surrounded", and we see Beta with the enormous horde, approaching the hospital building.
