Corythosaurus is a genus of hadrosaurid "duck-billed" dinosaur which lived throughout what is now Western North America during the Campanian age of the late cretaceous period some 77 to 75 mya. The first fossil remains of corythosaurus consisting of a near complete skeleton which remarkably included much of the creatures skin and organs was unearthed in 1911 by Barnum Brown in Red Deer River of Alberta Canada. Here Brown would also find a second well preserved specimen in 1914. Using these two specimens Brown would describe, name, and establish the type species, Corythosaurus casuarius, whos name is derived from the Greek korythos or "Corinthian helmet", and means "helmeted lizard". The specific name, casuarius, refers to the cassowary, a bird with a similar skull crest. These two specimens now currently reside at the American Musuem of Natural history. Since then several more corythosaurus remains have been recovered including two complete skeleton which were unfortunately lost on December 6, 1916, when the ship transporting them : the SS Mount Temple, was sank by German merchant raider SMS Möwe during World War 1. Today two species of corythosaurus are considered valid: C. casuarius and C. intermedius. Reaching some 25 to 30ft (7.7 to 9 meters) in length and 5,600 to 7,000lbs (2500 to 3200kgs) in weight, Corthyosaurus is destiguished from other hadrosaurids by its comparatively short skull with a narrow beak and high helmet-like crest. In life corythosaurus would have lived in tight knit herds and fulfilled the niche of mixed general browser feeding upon conifer needles, ferns, seeds, twigs, and fruits.

Oh, should I update?
Some of this happened before I left, especially since I didn't ever super leave, I just petered out? BUT ANYWAY
KIDS! Still have the two perfect kids. Kinsie is 15 and perfect, Pips is 13 and perfect.
RELATIONSHIPS! Got a divorce. Got a pretty girlfriend. Then got a pretty fiancée. In 2024 I'm getting myself a pretty wife.
PETS! Our kitty Nenene died in 2019 - I think I was still here? We have 3 cats, now. We got Holly (formally HRH Eggalicious Holly von Boopersnoot of the A-town von Boopersnoots) in January 2020. Fury is still being Fury - demanding food and pets at alternating intervals. When Dawn moved in she brought Gonzo, the tiny elderly grey cat who I adore.
WORK! Still a children's librarian. Still at the same library in Chicagoland. Still love my job.
OTHER! I still love the stars and galaxies and memes and plumposting and poetry and dancing and reading and ttrpgs. I've developed an obsession with clouds. It's dinovember so I'm currently at my library wearing my hoodie that makes me look like a dinosaur and I'm happy as a clam.

Hey Guys. Apparently I was scammed by a cryptobro
TL,DR: Would someone buy prints of my work to help to get through the month?
Hi guys
I really need help due to a commission that appears to be done through a scam using Binance, which is a cryptocurrency app, something I never really wanted to use. The commissioner would pay me 400 dollars - in my local currency, its the equivalent of almost 2000$, something that would greatly help me given my financial situation for the month. But, every time that I think the funds would finally be liberated to my account, the app asks for different transactions to be made - called service fees. The last one left me completely without money to get through the month, as I already have late bills from last month that only get bigger due to bank fees.
And before you say anything about how gullible I was, I really needed this extra money. I really prefer using PayPal for international transactions, but I did what the client said due to my situation and amateur stand in the art community.
In this case, I really need help. So I ask: Would some of you buy any artwork of mine as prints if I sold them? I created the little info above the text last night. The galleries that are avaiable are the following:
Demonktober 2020
Dinovember/Dinocember 2020
MythicMay 2020
2020's Brazilian Folklore Drawings
Thanks for the attention.

Dinovember day 3 - Sauropoda
The enigmatic Sauroposeidon! We don't know much about this dinosaur except for some huge vertebrae, so I decided to just leave it in a mysterious silhouette.

Dinovember 2020 – Week 1
We are really happy to see that many liked the prompt we made this year for Dinovember 2020! So here I leave you a selection of works from last week I found mostly on Instagram and Tumblr.
Days 1 and 2 - Oviraptosauria & Ceratopsia
@frautierfreund was the first person in showing us her work! She decided to draw an Oviraptor. A lot of kids also wanted to join us, like Ludovico here who draw a Pachyrhinosaurus, sent by his mom @alba.munoz1303 .
Days 3 and 4 - Sauropoda & Stegosauria
Some artists wanted to do the exact dinosaurs we suggested, like the case of @only_eddf who drew this Sauroposeidon with its young, or @pasu-chan who drew this beutiful Wuerhosaurus traditionally!
Days 5 and 6 - Tyrannosauridae & Ankylosauridae
Of course, The creators of El Fósil Viviente had to do some art too! So @pyroraptor42-art drew an Alioramus while @vicugna.art sculpted a tiny Zuul in clay!
Days 7 and 8 - Pachycephalosauria & Deinonychosauria
Finally @goldenchocobo combined these 2 days very creatively, showing us a fierce fight between a Pachycephalosaurus and a Dakotaraptor!
We hope you are having fun and hopefully we see more works this week, good luck everybody! Good luck! 😉

#Archovember Day 9 - Dacentrurus armatus
Dacentrurus was similar to Stegosaurus in that it was a very large stegosaur (32.9 feet long!) with similar proportions. However, its spine/plate configuration is rather different, with smaller plates and longer spikes. It is sometimes portrayed with a shoulder spike similar to Kentrosaurus, but as there’s no evidence for or against this spike existing, I left it out. In fact, we don’t know too much about Dacentrurus as all we have are a pelvis, the left forelimb, the right femur, some vertebrae, a neck plate, and a tail spike.
Admittedly, that’s not much to go on, but it’s fun to try to fill in the pieces based on what we have!
Also I made it purple cause I haven’t done a purple dinosaur yet.

Finally! Dinovember, day 30! A megalneusaurus takes a colossal chomp at a little tatenectes.
I’ve taken part in Dinovember three times now (skipping 2020), and the first two times, I wasn’t able to complete the month, mostly due to family issues that cropped up at the end of November. Don’t get me wrong, I did a LOT. I made my niece two coloring books to help keep her interest in dinosaurs alive, and she still uses them. And like, 55 drawings, nothing to sneeze at! But this year, I did it! I finished all of them! And it’s my best year yet. I learned a lot, and I think personally that I have greatly improved from what I had done before. I’m very happy with this years Dinovember. Hope my niece enjoys her newest coloring book! Time to assemble it 👍
EDIT, 1/11/22: This entire Dinovember series has been compiled and is now available for purchase on Gumroad! The pages can be printed, or thrown into a digital program! Check it out HERE!

One drawing from each month of 2020. Overall feel pretty good about this year. I definitely drew more backgrounds and I think my lineart really improved from last year. Did a ton of commission work compared to previous years and I finished the book I’ve been working on since 2018 (should be out some time in the next couple months, stay posted for deets). Pretty much all of the book and most of the commissions I did have NOT been posted online anywhere so hopefully I can share more of it in 2021.
I think I’ve got my trad lineart/digital colors workflow down and can bang out pieces like that pretty confidently. Can do markers and colored pencils alright but I have to really think about it and it’s much less consistent. Hardly painted either trad or digital this year so I’m trying to get back into that.
I think art-wise my main goal for 2020 is to paint more. I’d like to get back to the point where I can confidently paint anything from ref and I can paint at least a little bit from imagination. I don’t think I tried painting anything from imagination this year at all, sadly. Also want to draw more vehicles. Mechs and robots are fine but I should take the time to do some tanks and cars and stuff. Also no Inktober next year, I’m definitely doing Dinovember instead. Hardly any dinos this year, what a travesty.
Not related to art but I didn’t practice guitar/banjo nearly as consistently as I should have this year so I gotta get back into that. I also haven’t touched my sewing machine in like 2 years. Somebody force me to make a quilt or something this year. I’m trying to buy a house and if that pans out and I have the space, I’m 100% buying a bunch of woodworking tools and seeing what I can teach myself. Overall just hoping I can find time for other skills/hobbies this year.
Peace out guys. Hopefully Covid’s contained soon (lmao no chance in the US amirite?) and we all have a good 2021. Happy New Year! ☮️

#drawdinovemberday4 Baby Yangchuanosaurus. This is the way? Had the chance to socially distance/hang out with my lovely students yesterday and I drew this while we shared Halloween candy and chucked a donut at a passing plane. Do you have a request? The graduating class of SJSU’s Amimation/Illustration students could not hold their graduation dinner and lost $6000 due to COVID-19. So I’m helping out but offering prints of the sketches I do for this month starting at $10. Though I do have drawings in mind, I am open for requests for this year’s Dinovember. Leave a request in the comments and I’ll add it to my list of Dinos (or other ideas). Near the end of the month I’ll post a list of prints available and pricing etc. pull on your paleo hats and shout out what you’d like to see on this wall! Here is the link for the Go Fund Me for the SHM Class of 2020: https://www.gofundme.com/f/x5apat?utm_source=customer&utm_campaign=p_cp+share-sheet&utm_medium=copy_link_all Thank you for your support and for stopping by. #drawdinovember2020 #dinosaur #babyyoda #themandalorian #starwars #yangchuanosaurus #fanart #artistoninstagram #sketchbook #ilovemystudents https://www.instagram.com/p/CHLOBlwDdjk/?igshid=1xaf25b37pxd9
