WEDDING MEME||ACCEPTING

[imma delete what isn’t relevant to their wedding so i’m not constantly reiterating myself. they don’t have a reception, for example, so all those have been erased.]

where they get married

pacifica northwest is still a big name, even bigger since she disappeared into gravity falls at 19 and not even her parents have spoken of her. this was all to continue her lover’s plot to take over gravity falls’ underworld. you can’t find and hurt him, hurt her, if you don’t know who they are. pacifica and mason keep up a facade just like her parents, closed off, cold, and seemingly lonely to the outside observer of the manor. they claim their solitude to grief over stan’s death, mabel’s disappearance and a number of many other things. (wendy’s off the map too, and robbie’s death of course.) at the tender ages of 20 they wed right in the grand ballroom of the manor. right where they first met again.

when they get married ( ie what time of day, what month and season etc. )

it’s summer, the anniversary of the night that they first drove off into the night together. the first time he kissed her when they were high on life and adrenaline and booze.

what traditions they include ( do they get married under a chuppah and crush a glass, garter toss, ‘something borrowed, something blue,’ etc. )

the lackies are the only attendees. maybe a few of their allies in the supernatural. they see no need for making it any bigger than they have to. they can’t risk it. they keep it very simple, not even a bouquet toss, or a honeymoon. since pacifica didn’t go to puerto rico to grow close w her heritage in this au, there are no purto rican wedding traditions.

what their wedding cake looks like

it’s a simple three-tier with white cream and it’s probably devil’s food cake and it’s got red accents.

….who smashes cake into whose face

one of the lackies probably smashes another lackey with it and then they have to clean it up. this is one of the few goofy things that happen in this au.

who proposed to who first

mason, obviously.

who walks down the aisle and who waits at the altar ( or neither )

there’s no aisle or altar. just a justice of the peace they paid to keep it quiet but legal. she still walks to him through the ballroom though.

what their wedding dresses / suits / other look like

images she wears a gorgeous burgundy dress (that y’all longtime crime!au fans know he’s just waiting to be able to tear her out of it.) that’s got some pretty gemstone accents on the bodice. it’s a very curve-hugging dress, tbh. he wears one of his tuxes and a burgundy tie to match her.

what their wedding colour scheme is and what sort of decor they have

if they DID have one it’d be like….red and black. burgundy. maybe sleet gray instead of black.

what flowers are in the bouquet ( if applicable. bonus: what do the flowers mean? 

red roses (meaning love) and black roses (meaning hatred, death, despair) to signify how far they’ve come.

what their vows are ( eg poetry, traditional, improvised etc. )

they do their own vows. pacifica’s are partially in spanish, promising her heart to him forever. they use the “till death do us part” part tho. pacifica says it in spanish tho.

if anyone’s late to the wedding

if a lackey even tried to run in late he’d probs have at least 20 guns trained on him immediately. four of them are major‘s and lioness’s own.

what their wedding photos are like ( are they sweet, with the couple holding hands or kissing or ~gazing into each others eyes~? are they silly, with a snapshot of the ‘cake-smash’ moment? or are they artistic, with one of them facing the sunset or holding their bouquets? )

there are some photos taken to be kept in an album just for them, and pacifica sends a few to her parents to confirm they’re marriage and that gf still isn’t safe. she’s more avoidant of her parents in this au, and also slightly more protective of them after robbie’s death. they’re her only family other than mason. if they stay safe the northwest name can still live on. the pictures are very serious, almost like they family portraits from her childhood. there is one picture of them smiling at one another, and one of them kissing. it’s not that they’re not happy to be married, but they have to keep themselves in check and not let their emotions slip too much to the lackies. pacifica has always been more open w them than mason, tho

who cries first during the ceremony

look they’re both p strong-willed people but they both break down during their vows. pacifica is more comfortable crying during their vows. mason’s tears are more of the silent “one or two slipping down his face” kind.

what their rings are like

his is a black band and her’s is a silver band with a garnet center surrounded by white diamonds.

who officiates the ceremony

a justice of the peace that they paid off to keep the wedding quiet but legal.

what song their first dance is to

they don’t have an actual reception, but there is a cake and dancing. their song is this cover of 500 Miles. i just think it sounds sweet.
