On one particularly unfortunate occasion, when SQ was around middle school age, he’d woken up early one Thursday morning and gone to his father’s office to ask for help with his algebra homework. He ended up walking in on his father partaking in what could only be described as a Zumba/jazzercise routine to a remixed version “Out of Touch” by Hall & Oates as part of his morning exercises. It was a sight that SQ wished he could have unseen, one of those moments that occurs in many a young preteen and teenager's lives, when they begin to realize that their parents, in addition to being occasionally imperfect humans, are also sometimes awkward, dorky, and embarrassing humans too. Luckily for SQ, his father’s back had been turned away from the door, so he was able to slowly back out of the room without being noticed.

Rewatching Clone Wars and Rebels and I just gotta say it. Star Wars peaked with those shows. I love them so much

#the clone wars was so unique cuz it was focused on main characters #but it also had 4 episode arcs with different characters #like you weren’t always with the same characters #and the character arcs were SO good man #and it wasn’t scared to touch on the horrors of war and the complications of politics #and it individualized the clones in such a wonderful ways #and traumatized me so much with the amount of on screen deaths #10/10 show I love it so much #and then Rebels only really focuses on the small group of characters #but my gosh the dynamics are just so fun #idk what happened but the soul got sucked out of Star Wars #I will forever be a Disney Star Wars hater #idk if rebels is Disney Star Wars #but I suppose it was at a time when Disney was making actual good stuff #regardless the modern Star Wars is awful #I watched the first two episodes of Ahsoka and I’m not impressed #I’m going in with high standards cuz the low standards are giving people too much credit #but yeah #that show def should’ve been animated man #these live action actors can’t show an ounce of emotion #like ever #what is wrong with these people #sorry I need to calm down I’m so salty about what happened to Star Wars lol #anyways clone wars and rebels are amazing #they have their flaws but they’re so good in their own ways with delightful characters #smiles rambles

#sorry for anyone here that enjoys it but this could be an actual good series if it took itself more seriously #and was more deliberate in its choices #it's a mess #both visually and tone-wise #txt #like it isn't WORST thing i've seen there is potential here #but it's too all over the place #i think it could even work as a musical but it should have not went for pop and disney-esque songs for sure #in fact some of those sounded exactly like specific disney songs #it's absolute kitsch #it feels like a kid show that wants to be an adult one so badly #it touches upon things in such juvenile way #it's straight out of tumblr circa 2013 #and would probably work back then and for people younger than 18 #but right now in the current form it has #it just doesn't blend together correctly

Bad Taste

I was looking at a list of the worst Doors songs ranked, and you'd never believe what I saw!

My two favorite songs ranked in the top 5!

My favorite song being placed at no. 5 (interestingly lower than the arguably much better no.3. Then again this was only one person's ranking- clearly lacking in taste)

See how even the description doesn't make it sound bad! Dreamy! Creakiest and crooniness! How is that an insult?!

But even worse is this gorgeous track. What'd you do to be placed at 3rd worst?? Methinks this author simply despises all things heartfelt and romantic.

It is true that I like their outlier songs more than their general sound, but I don't see why this should mean that true fans only enjoy their typical tunes! Who are they to hate on a perfectly lovely wistful summer serenade? Who are they to resent a band's attempts to branch out? They're not even bad!

But again, this is but one person's take. I feel it may be wise not to go looking for other people's rankings in case this is the norm and not the outlier...

Day one: Introductions!

Nathaniel Ezra Wyatt: a scholar, magic user, and very concerned adult. His home world (Hyrule, yes he is technically an LoZ oc as well shhh) fell only a year or so after Radiant Garden’s fall, when he was around 37, and he found himself in Traverse Town. He ended up bonding with the group from RG who were living there (Cid, Leon, Aerith, Cloud, and Yuffie) and found himself part of their little patchwork family. He is, despite looking like an pretentious old librarian, quite outgoing, and loves hearing peoples stories. He is also quite parental by nature, and keeps on finding himself adopting any stray child soldier he comes across (why are there so many-), and co-parenting the RG kids with Cid. After Maleficent was defeated in kh1 he made the decision to go with to Hollow Bastion with the gang instead of staying in Traverse Town or hoping to find himself back in Hyrule. He’s settled into Radiant Garden quite permanently now, and spends most of his time helping his family rebuild it. :)

Jokes on him because Nathaniel is actually very touched by this and wears them around a lot #and WILL tell people his son got them for him :))) also this made him double down on everything else he wears just being brown #it’s tradition at this point any world Sora goes to he’ll look for a pin to buy for Ezra. I imagine if he was a real character in the games #they’d be a type of collectible you could get. #just realised I straight up did not mention in the main bit that he has basically adopted Sora as his kid yeah that’s his son now #look at how cool and talented his son is he loves him very much. straight up originally made Ezra based on the idea of ‘what if Sora had an #adult in his life who was very openly amazed by how powerful and talented and skilled he is and told him that’ because gods know Sora needs #someone like that in his life. Wyatt’s Sora has less self esteem issues then canon Sora because every time he visits Ezra he’ll tell him #what he’s been doing and show him any spells he’s learned and Ezra will be like ‘that’s amazing you should be proud of yourself I am proud #of you good job you’re doing amazing’ and ‘that’s fucked up you don’t deserve that shit you deserve so much better’ and is very validating #Ezra is found usually by a training area where you can show him whatever cool moves you know and he will be amazing and talk to you about #how you learned this stuff and then give you a biscuit and some tea or something #we love him Ezra’s great
