Maybe this should give people some hope, I will tell you all this, even if Kosa gets passed into US law, even on an international level, the ACLU will sue the hell out of Congress for violating the first and fourth amendment, civil rights, and internet freedom, I was told this by a friend who did their research on this and it made me feel a bit better.
Do look up who the ACLU is to understand, but to give a small explanation, it stands for American Civil Liberties Union, and what they do is that they defend and preserve the individual rights and liberties guaranteed to all people in this country by the Constitution and laws of the United States.
Do let others know about this, I want people to have some hope.
It’s been 9 years since Ka’harja’s parents tried to murder him and he was forced to flee Heck’ne. It was by luck alone that he escaped over the country border and met Distro Nigelle; a young alchemist who raised him as her apprentice and son.
He should have known better than to get involved with Heck’ne again. But when a fellow runaway shows up on his doorstep with her mother and newborn son, Ka’harja doesn’t think twice about offering them refuge.
His kindness soon leads him to disaster as his new friends are followed by old foes and, with the loss of the home that saved his life all those years ago, Ka’harja has no choice but to travel to a foreign town to start anew.
The ones who have held power through hate, bigotry, and ignorance for so long? They’re scared. They’re scared because the world is growing beyond them, and they are slipping. They cannot hide behind their selfishness and privilege anymore, so they are trying to hold onto whatever measly amount of sway they have left.
Unfortunately, even a little sway can have a big impact, but in my opinion that kind of influence is fragile. It has no more strength than a piece of thread. Because this world - the one we were born into, the one we are developing together, the one we are changing just by EXISTING - has no need for them anymore.
We are a world connected across countries, across languages, across lifestyles, across socioeconomic lines, across gender and sexuality. Humans understand those who are different than them better than we ever have before, and because of that, we are sturdy against the propaganda, the ignorance, and the hate that the old and powerful try to lure us into.
It is alright to feel scared, sad, even angry. It is only natural. But do NOT give up hope. Do not believe it is a lost cause. Do not believe that there is nothing now that can be done. Do not believe that things cannot be salvaged, mended, and made even more beautiful.
Fight. Love. Believe. Lean On. Speak. Shout. Lead. Change.
Reproductive rights are human rights. Everyone stay safe. I love you all
The Tokyo Ghoul 10th Anniversary Project’s official website has ‘AND MORE’ on the page - which means that there will be more information on the project!
Let’s hope we will finally get a remake!!!
The official Tokyo Ghoul 10th anniversary project website:
If we didn’t have night seasons, we would never truly appreciate the grace of light; if we never experienced storms, we would fail to properly savor the peace of a calm; if we don’t spend time in the valley, we will take for granted our victory on the mountain tops. In every season, let God be praised.
these two statements seem like they’d be a positive thing for the millennium shippers. however, upon closer inspection, they’re actually negative things. i’m sure a lot of the milkshakes have taken these as a win before but we really should not lose hope. the statements made to describe the ship are as deceptive as the ship itself.
