Finally finished this after many delays.
I was inspired to do a painting based on the pando aspen grove post that's been floating around recently.
I've also included the initial sketch I did for the character.

Wisptober Day 29: Solace
"As the two dryads feel their bodies slowly going dormant with the cold approaching, they find solace in the memory of warm sunbeams and each other."
For something I did on very little sleep, I think it turned out not too bad.:D

The green dragon just keeps getting pitted against plants. Adults are in the 20-80 foot (6-24 m) range. Green dragons are great at sweet talking, enjoy taking exceptional people into thier fold, have all sorts of wonderful emerald hues, and thier breath has a chlorine scent! Because it's chlorine gas, don't breathe too deep. Look, even the dragon god opposing them said that in some ways they're the most dragonlike of all dragons! Unfortunately that does include sweet talking and manipulation, and thier favorite targets to corrupt and/or devour are elves, so maybe be careful if you're an elf.
On the right, Dryad! The classic beauty of the woods, with entangling vines and powerful charming magic if you're into that thing! Granted, if they like you and you're into nature they might try to mentally dominate you either way. Note that they can't move far from their bonded tree though, so this is probably taking place in a forest.
