Food shortages are happening because they are planned. It seems we are already at war, but most don't realize it yet...
Either that or food is just really, really explosive. So far, my fridge hasn't caught fire yet, though, so I have my doubts.

NEW FROM FINISHING LINE PRESS: The Unknown Daughter by Tricia Knoll
On SALE now! Pre-order Price Guarantee: https://www.finishinglinepress.com/product/the-unknown-daughter-by-tricia-knoll/
Tricia Knoll’s parents were faith healers; she did not always heal the way they hoped. A sense of isolation and oddball-ness permeated her autobiographical narrative as described in her How I Learned To Be White. That book explores the impacts of ancestry, class and education on privilege and received the 2018 Human Relations Indie Book Gold Award for Motivational Poetry. #daughter #poetry #relationship #family
PRAISE FOR The Unknown Daughter by Tricia Knoll
Tricia Knoll’s The Unknown Daughter dedicates itself to the incredible work of Making Known: of naming and describing the complex experience of being a daughter, of asking who we might be as a culture and a country if we took it upon ourselves to honestly do so. Knoll’s book is a beautiful, taut series of linked poems filled with myriad voices, each a pebble dropped into the silencing waters of family and history, each helping to recover not just one daughter, but all.
These wise and deft poems are conversation, chorus, and community all in one: they speak right to us; they invite us in. They give crucial instruction in Making Known: “sing when the first impulse may be to whisper.”
–Annie Lighthart, Author of Pax
Tricia Knoll’s The Unknown Daughter is an un-portrait, individual and collective, historical and visionary, composed by multiple voices constellated via the titular character. This poem sequence strikingly shapes absence from so many presences. It’s a timely reminder that the more things change—socially, culturally, politically—the more they stay the same, and “the unknown” must claim her own narrative.
–Marj Hahne, Writer, Teacher, MFA in Creative Writing
The Unknown Daughter is a worthy monument to a monument that ought to exist. This connected series of poems offers acknowledgement and tribute to those women who didn’t fit the pattern and made major contributions in science and art. In these vivid poems about the symbolic unknown woman, her family, the watchwomen at the memorial, and even an Uber driver (who says dismissively, “You won’t stay long./Tell me if you want me/to drive you somewhere else.”), Tricia Knoll makes her own important contribution.
–Penelope Scambly Schott, author of On Dufur Hill

Sabatoge?
March 13, 2022 — A Hot Pockets plant in Jonesboro, Arkansas, was shut down after a fire started inside a production line cooler.
March 16, 2022 — A massive fire at a Walmart fulfillment center in Plainfield, Indiana, caused the closure of the facility. In April, the company announced it would not be reopening the facility, affecting the jobs of 1,132 employees.
March 28, 2022 — A fire at Maricopa Food Pantry in Maricopa, Arizona, led to the destruction of more than 50,000 pounds of food.
March 31, 2022 — Rio Fresh, an onion warehouse facility in south Texas, was damaged by a structure fire.
April 11, 2022 — A fire broke out at East Conway Beef & Pork in Conway, New Hampshire, destroying the building and killing two cows.
April 13, 2022 — A plane crashed into the Gem State processing facility in Heyburn, Idaho.
April 13, 2022 — A four-alarm fire occurred at Taylor Farms in Salinas, California, drawing nearly 100 firefighters from 22 fire units. The facility was in the process of restarting operations after being closed for the winter.
April 18, 2022 — The headquarters of Azure Standard in Dufur, Oregon, was destroyed in a fire. Azure Standard the largest independent distributor of organic and health foods in the U.S.
February 4, 2023 — A fire at Hillandale Farms in Connecticut, which is owned by one of the largest egg producers in the U.S., killed an estimated 100,000 hens.
While some of the chickens died from the disease, most were culled to prevent further spread of the virus. That process does more harm then good. Maybe that's the point.
Rockefeller Foundation Predicted Food Crisis
If you gain control of the food supply, you gain control of the people. This is why any threat to food freedom and security should prompt immediate alarm and calls for the protection of localized, regenerative agriculture.
It's curious that a report from the Rockefeller Foundation, released in July 2020 and predicting a coming food crisis, hasn't received more attention, however — especially since its solution centered on the creation of a centralized "nutrition security system."
A centralized food system benefits no one but those who control it, and puts consumers at risk. Will Harris, a regenerative farming pioneer who runs White Oak Pastures in Bluffton, Georgia.
Their report, "Reset the Table," was published just one month after the World Economic Forum (WEF) officially announced its plans for a "Great Reset," and many of the contributors to the Foundation's paper are WEF members. They intend for the current food system to fall apart, so they can then "solve" the problem by introducing a new system based on patented lab-grown synthetic and genetically engineered foods, along with massive insect farms.

Dear Caroline:
While reading your self-deprecating portrait of two serpents intertwined, your Catholic background and your Rationalist beliefs interlocked in a small comic epic-, the image that came to mind is that of a Renaissance miniature painting of Cleopatra by Jean Pichore for Antoine Dufur's book on Les vies des femmes célèbres; and the rosy cheeks and pale complexion of the lady do bring to mind the earliest pictures I've seen of you on the net.
Were you really at some time a house divided? The lady doth protest too much, methinks, and yet from your blog posts it seems that Traditional Caroline was really a thing until your flight to the Bay.
One thing I really appreciate about the Catholic view of marriage is the strength and appeal of its utopian promise, along with its very pragmatic accommodation with our real limitations, as the spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak. Even for an atheist, materialist, individualist secular liberal (which describes me as well as you) there is hope to be found in the promise of marriage as sacrament, utopia, loyalty, love, a higher calling, a perfect union of the soul and the body, a selfless burning in a common flame, a melding in a common flesh. Et erunt duo in carne una itaque iam non sunt duo sed una caro.
But not only the church. In Plato's Symposium we find a similar narrative been brought out in Aristophanes' creation myth of the origins of Love. In short, in primal times our ancestors had doubled bodies, with faces and limbs turned away from one another. When these creatures rebelled against the gods they were punished by being chopped in half, eternally cursed to searching for their significant other piece because they were really trying to recover their primal nature. Plato/Aristophanes ends his speech with a pean to Eros, who might yet make us whole again.
Quote:
Wherefore, if we would praise him who has given to us the benefit, we must praise the god Love, who is our greatest benefactor, both leading us in this life back to our own nature, and giving us high hopes for the future, for he promises that if we are pious, he will restore us to our original state, and heal us and make us happy and blessed.

he Left hates oil and gas, beef (and chicken, and all meat), and coal. But millions of Americans don’t believe the hysterical Leftist claims that these things are destroying the planet. What to do about them? A number of suspicious recent incidents suggests that some people have decided to take matters into their own hands and force compliance with the green agenda by leaving us no other choice.
Belying his “Putin’s price hike” propaganda, Old Joe Biden suggested in late May that skyrocketing gas prices were all part of a plan: “Here’s the situation.  And when it comes to the gas prices, we’re going through an incredible transition that is taking place that, God willing, when it’s over, we’ll be stronger and the world will be stronger and less reliant on fossil fuels when this is over.” Meanwhile, an April fire at the port of Benicia, California hampered gasoline production. A natural gas pipeline exploded in Michigan in March.
The ”incredible transition” seems to be taking other forms as well. After a boiler explosion at Shearer’s Foods in Hermiston, Oregon in February, the company laid off its employees. In March, there was a large fire at the Penobscot McCrum potato processing plant in Maine. In April, a private plane crashed into Gem State Processing, a potato processing plant in Idaho. A week later, another private plane crashed into the General Mills plant in Covington, Georgia.
That same month, there was a massive fire at the Taylor Farms food processing plant in Salinas, California. Also in April, the Dufur, Oregon headquarters of Azure Standard, a leading organic food distributor, was destroyed by fire, and another fire destroyed the East Conway Beef & Pork Meat Market in Conway, New Hampshire. Early in May, a chicken farm in Jones County, Mississippi was destroyed by fire. Saladino’s food processing plant in Fresno, California caught fire around the same time. A Walmart Fulfillment Center in Indiana caught fire in late May. Also in late May, a fire at Forsman Farms in Howard Lake, Minnesota killed tens of thousands of chickens. In mid-June, there was a huge fire at the Festive Foods pizza plant in Belmont, Wisconsin.
In Iowa in April, five million chickens were killed after discovery of a single case of avian flu. 22 million chickens have been killed nationwide in an attempt to contain the outbreak. Thousands of cattle died in Kansas in June; their deaths were blamed on the heat, but it was not an unusually hot month, and numerous people with farming experience were skeptical of the official explanation.
Meanwhile, on May 26, a coal train derailed near Gothenburg, Nebraska. On June 1, a train derailed near Lansing, Iowa, with ten coal cars leaving the tracks; the contents of one spilled into the Mississippi River. Another train derailed in Shiner, Texas on June 3, spilling coal in the center of the town. In British Columbia, yet another coal train derailed on June 18, spilling coal from fifteen rail cars. That same day, one more coal train derailed in Lawrence, Kansas, spilling a “large amount” of coal.
Maybe it’s all just a huge coincidence. Accidents do happen, and many of these incidents have been classified as just that, accidents, with no foul play suspected. The problem with that is the sheer number of these incidents (and this article doesn’t contain a complete list), as well as the fact that all these alleged accidents coincide perfectly with the bicycle-riding, bug-eating future the Left envisions for us. Whatever their cause, if these fires, derailments, and other odd incidents keep happening, we’ll have no choice but to go green and start chowing down on grasshoppers, because we’ll simply have no choice.
And when has the Left ever been interested in choice, aside from its vaunted “pro-choice” stand on abortion that doesn’t carry over to vaccines or anything else? Back in 2015, hardline Socialist Bernie Sanders declared: “You don’t necessarily need a choice of 23 underarm spray deodorants or of 18 different pairs of sneakers when children are hungry in this country.” George Orwell was yet again dead-on in 1984 when he envisioned a socialist dystopia that offered only one brand of everything (“Victory Cigarettes,” “Victory Gin,” etc.), all of it shoddy and poorly made. That was life in the Soviet Union and Maoist China, and that will be life in the United States if the Left gets its way. And with all these “accidents” happening, the Left is closer than ever to getting its way.
