I need e-reader discourse to chill out. I don’t want a kindle, but I can’t find any actual reviews on if nooks are as bad as people say. Some nook reviews act like the nook came into their home and kidnapped their grandma. THEY CANT BE THAT BAD RIGHT?? Right?? The only real difference I see between a nook and a kindle is that the kindle has kindle unlimited but I don’t plan on ever using that service anyway.

I truly just don’t want to support Amazon and their blatant price gouging of book merchandise to just decimate any independent book seller.

We need more of a market for e-readers why are there only two choices because why am I making a pros and cons list but two of the cons are “evil corporate overlord” and “doesn’t work?”

I got a box of Animal Crossing E-reader cards from japan! It's from series 2 since they were a lot cheaper than the other series.

Here are the cards I got!

I almost got all of them but I seem to be missing 6 out of 64 so I'm unsure if I should buy another box or try buying them seperate.

I'd love to try getting the other series as well but the packs are very expensive in comparison.. Maybe eventually I will get 1 or 2 of each.

I also got these cute plushies from a separate purchase they're really cute! I'm hoping to get bigger versions of the villager ones in the future. :>

Having an e-reader has really reignited my passion for reading. I can have a nice back-lit screen with adjustable font and have all my books in one place so I can just read whatever I want whenever I want. This year alone I've read more books than the last 5 combined.

Yet whenever I bring up the fact I use one, people always try treat it as a source of shame and without fail say "it doesn't feel the same as a real book" and they're right. It's just that for me it feels better.

Read books how you want but please please stop telling me how I should read mine

tiny ereader that sucks as an ereader but is decent as an mp3 player :). i think a better eink mp3 would be the palma, inkpalm or hisense hifi stuff but they're also $100+ and I just want an mp3 player that's just an mp3 player.

Libby/Overdrive

These are the same thing. Great way to borrow eBooks and audiobooks from your library at no cost (unless your library costs money). You can download the app on your phone or tablet, or some e-eeaders can use them too. I know the Kobo e-readers can, and I believe the amazon junk cannot.
