Wait, Rogue was into Magneto?

They had an on-again, off-again affair for many years.

During the Outback Era, the X-Men were gifted the Siege Perilous by the enigmatic Omniversal Guardian Roma. This mystic artifact, which for some inexplicable reason known only to Chris Claremont and the artist was depicted as a gem instead of a chair, would judge them based on all the good and evil they had done, and either give them a second chance to redeem themselves or send them to "a gateway to a paradise well earned."

When Rogue accidentally passed through the Siege Perilous while fighting Nimrod in X-Men #247, she disappeared for a year in publication - only to ultimately appear in the Savage Land in #269 without her Carol Danvers powers, where she was rescued by none other than Magneto.

While in the Savage Land, the two had a brief but intense affair, as Magneto was really the first man she had ever been able to touch without harming them with her mutant powers - and was able to use his technological might to eventually restore her Carol Danvers powers. However, Rogue broke off their relationship in #275 over her rooted moral objection to Magneto's ruthless decision to kill his defeated enemies.

This wouldn't be the end of their entanglement, however. During the alternate universe event "Age of Apocalypse," it was revealed that, prior to the crossover's main events, Earth-295's Rogue had been in a love triangle between Gambit and Magneto, and chosen Magneto, ultimately marrying him and having a child with him. Later that year, a de-aged, amnesiac, and substantially less-murderous Magneto calling himself "Joseph" appeared following Max's seeming death and there was this long-running love triangle between Rogue, Gambit, and Joseph where Gambit was the bad boy she couldn't touch and Joseph was the white-haired pretty boy who could touch her through magnetic forcefields. This eventually ended when it was revealed that Joseph was actually a clone of Magneto (DWAI) and went craaaaAaaazy.

When Magneto joined the X-Men following the Decimation and Cyclops' founding of Utopia, Rogue rekindled her feelings for Max in the Mike Carey run. Surprisingly, this time Gambit handled it with some grace, telling Rogue that he would wait for her until she was sure of her feelings.

This actually worked, and the two would eventually be married - a union that has continued for six years.

Much like I did with Beto, I'll try to make a timeline of Ragua's life. It's in Earth years, but her species ages differently and much of her life is spent in virtual paradises/relativist travel, so the dates here are very approximate:

0: Is born in one of the paradise hatchery worlds of the Irruita (now called Precursor) civilization

1-15: Learns to swim, talk and all that (she did NOT eat her siblings at this time how dare you imply that's RUDE)

23: her parents "get bored of her" and she's raised by her grandparents in a rural world

23-54: Mostly gaming and herding fish and making shrimp egg honey

54: goes into her first galactic cruise with her girlfriend, she has a short honeymoon relationship with her (about 25 years max)

75-97: (plays gacha games):

98: reconciles with her parents for a brief time, works as a retainer in the Irruita celestial bureaucracy, quickly resigns

120: (plays gacha games)

130: Tries a singer career, goes kinda well

130-170: her "sex drugs and rock n' roll era" according to her (exact ratio unknown)

168: Gets bored of fame, might have blown up a moon in her farewell concert

170-210: (plays gacha games)

210-260: her second galactic cruise, has some short relationships but mostly goes sightseeing and such

Are there any other characters (Marvel or otherwise) that you have thought about making a muse?

Oh, absolutely! There are a few characters that I am hyperfixated on that I have considered making a muse. However, for various reasons, I have not chosen to RP with them.

1. X-Men AoA Dark Beast (Marvel)

He is the complete opposite of Doreen Green, but I love this trash gremlin. My intro to the X-Men was the AoA series when I was about 13 years old and the character stuck with me. (Why? Because it was at the bookstore all in one graphic novel collection when I wanted to start reading comics. Allowance money well spent.)

I like mad scientist. I also like villains that enjoy being evil just because they can. The kind of person who stabs you in the front with a smile.

I don't RP this character because I'm hesitant to play established male characters since I am female and I am concerned with subconsciously portraying them incorrectly -- I am also about as smart as a bag of hammers and I don't want to butcher an intelligent character.

(Shout out to @positivelybeastly for their portrayal of 295 Beast. 10/10.)

2. Captain Carter (Marvel)

I want to be her when I grow up. Please carry me away in your strong arms, you beautiful woman.

Wait, why aren't I RPing this character? Maybe it's because I swoon over her too much. Or I'm lazy. Or both.

3. Iroh (Avatar the Last Airbender)

Hands-down the best character in the series in my humble opinion. I'm sure I would spend hours talking to this man if he were real.

I aspire to be a wise old sage who drinks tea and gives life advice... While also being a formidable fighter fire bender. Again, he is male, and I automatically struggle with that. (Also, are there even any active ATLA RP on Tumblr?)

4. Mephisto Pheles (Blue Exorcist)

I'm really picky with anime/manga. Almost any anime/manga that I consume is "slice of life" genera, but this is the exception. I saw an episode of Blue Exorcist on TV late one night in my college dorm and was instantly hooked with the entire concept -- and for some reason, this flamboyant asshat. Is it because he's one of the most powerful beings on earth whose middle name has to be 'Manipulation'? Is it his sarcasm? I'm 80% sure it's his aesthetic -- I'm a sucker for a top hat and a tailcoat.

But, alas, he is male. And I'm woefully behind on the series. And anime fandoms scare me a little.

Suki and Sunday had to share a room while Suki was visiting.

Suki spent a week with Stør’s while her parents were looking for houses in town. They end up moving to their town. Suki enters the same class as Sunday.

At first Sunday was very unhappy with her weird cousin always following her around, but she eventually realizes Suki is showing her love in her own special way.

Don’t worry, Suki and Sunday become best friends!
