A messy doodle of my OCs Marah and Elisheva standing next to each other.

Marah is a short black woman with a slightly chubby body type. Her black hair is worn in long locs that reach halfway down her back and cover the right side of her face. She has bags under her eyes and her expression is somewhere between bored and irritated.

She is wearing a purple long sleeve shirt with black stripes underneath a baggy grey t-shirt that reads "Fanboy & Chum Chum", ripped black skinny jeans and black and white converse.

There are some notes next to her: "likes baggy shirts, hasn't bought new shoes in forever, this is like an in-the-middle kind of outfit for her depressionwise".

Elisheva is a tall black person of skinny stature. Their tightly coiled hair is a honey blond colour. The front of it near their hairline is worn in five bantu knots with two braids framing their face. The back of their hair is worn down, only reaching to their shoulders and their edges are styled in small swirls on their forehead.

They are wearing a short beige sweater vest over a light blue button up with poet sleeves. Their pants are brown flare pants that slightly cover up the beige boots they are wearing. Additionally, they are wearing multiple golden rings, a gold septum piercing and gold hoop earrings. Their braids are decorated with gold jewellery as well.

The notes next to them read: "lots of gold jewellery, maybe gold tattoos?, taller than this i think".

Elisheva - ageless - they/them

Marah's gurdian angel sent down to protect her (and keep her from committing suicide) until the time for her offering has come. Elisheva is confused by humans' indirect communication and frustrated by Marah's repeated suicide attempts.

Note: Allthough Marah and Elisheva's main storyline is set in this universe, they also exist in the main universe where they will lead much happier lives :3 Details unclear for now.

Does living deliciously count as a hobby? Ven loves fine wine, fine food, and fine company, but I'd probably say her other two hobbies are reading (she's an intellectual at heart) and live theatre

💯 - share three random facts about your oc that others may not know.

Ven's full name is Veneration, but she actually has two other names that she's received through her life. Her birth name is Lossenth, and when she was adopted she received the new name Elisheva

In an alternate life where she was never exiled, she most likely would've become an arcanist, not a sorcerer

Ven was very into theatre ever since she was a kid, where she demanded to be given the most important roles in the local children's pantomines as a kid with her favourite being Minara, mother of Erandis Vol

🥪what does your oc's typical lunch look like? do they usually eat lunch?

Ven lives and works in the lowest parts of Sharn, but she is incredibly dedicated to food and food culture. The average person (including her) does not have access to a kitchen in small apartments, so she tends to eat out. Her preferences are for anything new, and especially anything that wouldn't be acknowledged by the upper classes. For this reason, she has found herself in many establishments owned by goblins, gnolls, and harpies, though she's a sucker for Demesnan food.

❣️- What are their love languages?

Briar

for giving he preferes gift giving because he struggles verbalizing his feelings. his family is also very well off so he can afford to buy what he deems the perfect present without worrying too much about money. mostly it's a lot of small stuff that reminds him of the person. but god help you if you go shopping with him, he will buy everything you show a slight interest in. if you don't let him, he thinks he did something wrong. will take great care to be nonchalant about it but it's actually a very big deal to him.

when it comes to receiving his #1 is definitely words of affirmation. PLEASE tell him he's doing a good job or he might die. he also values quality time! his arrogant persona and seemingly short temper make him very unapproachable so if somebody actually CHOOSES to spend time with him he is over the moon. once again will act like it's no big deal. "i guess we can study together but don't distract me" (he will be fighting a smile all day long).

Nate

his giving love language is 100% touch above all else. it's a big part of werewolf culture to just be casually touchy with each other so he's used to it. it's also an easy way to display affection without having to awkwardly stumble over compliments. he's very mindful of not crossing people's boundaries though!! he knows not everybody is comfortable with that

for receiving it's an even split between touch and acts of service. touch because, again, werewolf culture. it's an easy reminder that the person he's talking to doesn't hate him because if they did, why would they want to be close to him?

acts of service because he really values the time and effort somebody put into doing something for him, it makes him feel important. wdym you took the time to sew on his button while he was napping??? do you think he's the most specialest boy in the world? be honest.

Evie

for giving i'd say touch and acts of service! she likes touch the most because it's also her main receiving love language. she likes that a reassuring touch can be understood universally and the casual intimacy of it acts of service is more something she forces herself to do because she worries about being a burden for her loved ones so she tries to remedy that by being useful :(

for receiving, as i've said, touch as the main star!!! a hand on her arm, a quick hug, casually reaching out to her, it all means a lot to her. just quick reminders that somebody loves her. she understands that other people might not be comfortable with physical contact and she respects it but despite knowing it's usually not about her, it still hurts her feelings. oh you don't wabt to hug her? oh okay so you hate her. you want her dead. she won't say that but she definitely thinks it.

she also likes words of affirmation but she always initially feels awkward even if she's happy about it

🌙- What's their sleep schedule like?

Briar

oh his sleep schedule is ASS. he does not sleep nearly enough. he stays up late into the night, either overthinking or studying or practicing some niche skill that he's convinced himself he needs to master to be respectable. only gets like 2 or 3 hours of sleep every night and takes quick naps throughout the day whenever he can to, you know, not DIE. sir you are a growing boy PLEASE go to bed. will nag his friends and family however if they don't get enough sleep. will go on and on about health risks and burnout and ruined productivity. all of these things obviously don't apply to him, what are you talking about. does he look exhausted and unhealthy to you?? (he's a walking corpse.) no of course not.

Nate

he's like an old man he WILL go to bed at 9 pm. needs to sleep 12 hours a day or he gets mean. always so so sleepy. can and will sleep anywhere. he frequently goes on runs in his wolf form and then just lies down, "only for a second to catch his breath". uh oh! he spent all night in the forest sleeping again! this happens once a week and he never learns. every once in a while he will get so lost in his work that he stays up all night on accident, wether that is crocheting, writing, pottery, carving, doesn't matter. do NOT talk to him all day long, he will ignore you because if he speaks he'll be a HUGE dick.

Evie

poor girl is stuck in an endless cycle of waking up early to "fix her sleep schedule", only to fall asleep around noon and end up being unable to go to bed before 3 am. this started when she was like 14 and she has not gotten out since. sometimes she will stay awake for a few days in a row and go quietly insane as she tries everything to tire herself out. other times she temporarily manages to "fix" her sleep schedule and go to bed early. does she wake up well rested? no! because she wakes up every hour of the night and won't be able to fall asleep for at least 20 minutes. every! hour!

2. Dance

**okay, day 2. Let’s see if I can get to day three...**

“Okay, Eli, slow down a minute.”

“Still not getting it?”

“No, not at all. I’m sorry, I’m a mess with this ballroom stuff.”

Eli tilts her head back and laughs, long and joy-filled. A true laugh -- which made Kieran’s heart stutter-stop and race, even if it was kind of at his expense. She shook out her hair and straightened up. “Okay, cielo, remember the one-two-three. Alright, start again. One two three, one two three, one two three, one...”

Kieran let her guide him around the small living room carpet in a lazy waltz pattern. This had been their routine for weeks -- every evening and weekend once their daughter was fast asleep. They didn’t risk waking Sylvia up by playing music, going over basic dances to Eli’s patient humming. Kieran had been the one to ask, knowing his skills were not up to snuff (at least, not for the first dance at their wedding; Kieran needed that moment to be special, if not perfect). They couldn’t bring themselves to take lessons, not when they had the internet and very limited time between work, Sylvia, and sleep. 

Kieran wasn’t getting this box step. He could do every other dance they’d tried. Frustration was starting to push at his brain. He was a music teacher’s son. He could read music for chris’sakes. Why was counting out steps and time this hard?

Eli stopped, hand moving from his shoulder to the center of his chest. “Pause. I think I know what you’re missing.”

“Oh yeah?” 

“Mhmm, you’re not leading. I’m leading and, frankly, I’m too short to.” Eli shrugged. “So, we’re gonna switch. You lead, I won’t move anywhere you don’t m’kay?”

Kieran pushed his glasses up his nose and grinned. “So you’re gonna let me push you around for once, is that what you’re saying?”

“Don’t get ahead of yourself, cielo. We both know how this relationship works.” Eli reset herself in position, right hand in his left, left hand on his shoulder. 

“Yes, I do. You make all the phone calls and I keep you from getting ahead of yourself. Anxious,” He pointed at himself, then at her. “Cranky.”

Eli rolled her eyes. “And Sylvia will be a complete mess someday. Now, are you going to waltz me into a stupor or should I start dinner?”

Who named them/Significance of their name:

Eli was named by her father. Her mother wanted a girl, so as a compromise she let him name his daughter. Elisheva was a very important influence in her father’s life, so he chose the name of his strong-willed, persevering mentor. Elisheva.

Home they grew up in:

HOO BUDDY BUCKLE UP. Eli lived in a quaint little elven town when she was a little girl, buuuuut some things came up and she was separated from her parents at the age of seven. Everyone in that town hated her family after rumor was spread about them (falsely given by ky’s (@mlp-micoo) mother >->) so she was forced to try and make her way through the world by herself or other means. She TRIED to find other places to stay, but being a little elven girl living around human places she was shunned. So to sum it up: she didn’t grow up in a home, she grew up by herself in the wild.

Relationship with parents:

Well she never really got to grow up with her parents, but she was always close to her father. He was the nicer of the two in her eyes, and she just loved being daddy’s little girl. Later in the game that I played Eli in, we met her mom, her newfound brother (which she hated but grew to love), and in the end she brought back her dead father and they all live happily now! Having known her mother a little more now, I can safely tell you that she DEFINITELY loves her father more than her mother.

Childhood Fear(s):

She had a big fear of the darkness, but soon she got over that since she had to grow accustomed to the dark for obvious reasons. Lot’s of things in the wilderness scared her, but she really got over all of that as a child with the circumstances that came around.

Quirks:

She is ALWAYS ready to learn!! She doesn’t have a proper education, just what she picked up roaming around. She’s quiet so she’s afraid to ask, but she wants to learn a lot. When she found her new besties during the campaign, she thought about asking them after the fact. She never did, though, because she’s ~scared~

Skylar Elle Jackson - Rainbow Six Siege

Definition - 

Skylar: A variant of Schuyler and Skyler, this name is Dutch for “scholar” so she's sure to be a smarty pants. It's also said to mean “eternal life, strength, love, protection, beauty, and the sky itself," so you can't go wrong with this one.

Jackson: Jackson (/ˈdʒæksən/) is a common American, Scottish, Irish and English surname, of English origin. It literally means "son of Jack"

Reason for name - I don’t have a big reason on why I chose her name. I just liked the name Skylar. 

Elizabeth Anne Walker - Call of Duty

Definition - 

Elizabeth: Elizabeth is a feminine given name, a variation of the Hebrew name Elisheva (��ֱלִישֶׁבַע), meaning "My God is an oath" or "My God is abundance", as rendered in the Septuagint.

Walker: English (especially Yorkshire) and Scottish: occupational name for a fuller, Middle English walkere, Old English wealcere, an agent derivative of wealcan 'to walk, tread'.

Reason for name - She was my first ever oc I made and I had a little trouble coming up with a name for her. However the nickname Liz always stuck with me so I chose Elizabeth which happens to be my middle name as well. 

Hattie Marie Cooper - Stargate SG-1 (Hattie is short for Harriet) 

Definition - 

Harriet: Girl. French. Form of the French name Henriette, which is a feminine form of Henry, from the Germanic heim, meaning "home" and ric, meaning "power, ruler".

Cooper: English: occupational name for a maker and repairer of wooden vessels such as barrels, tubs, buckets, casks, and vats, from Middle English couper, cowper (apparently from Middle Dutch kuper, a derivative of kup 'tub', 'container', which was borrowed independently into English as coop).

Reason for name - I had the name Hattie stuck in my head for the longest time and couldn’t use it. Then I began watching SG-1 and that mind started reeling about creating a new oc and Hattie just fit.

So I’m messing about researching styles for natural African hair, as one does when one gets sick of buzz cuts on OCs...

(BTW what do you think of this for a space admiral? It doesn’t look high maintenance - I think you just take it out and redo it every few days/wash/condition as needed - and it should fit in a helmet?)
