But there is fear in your eyes. What will you say to God when you see him? How will you explain all that blood on your hands? Rebecca Ferguson as QUEEN ELIZABETH WOODVILLE in THE WHITE QUEEN (2013)

Elizabeth of York, fashion character design, c. 1472-1473.
The fleur-de-lys on the dress make me think of the moment when Elizabeth was engaged to Charles, the Dauphin of France.

"When commanded by my husband, I even danced with my brother-in-law George: hand to hand and smiling into his handsome, boyish face. Again I am struck by how people like him on sight. He has all of the York easy charm and none of Edward’s honor."

Probably the most notorious lovers of the Wars of the Roses: Edward IV and Elizabeth Woodville
This was a fun one. The legend goes they met under an oak tree, and that Edward pursued Elizabeth until she agreed to marry him in secret. There's so much going on between these two figures, but it does seem that despite everything it does seem that Edward and Elizabeth had genuine affection for one another.

I cannot choose my allies, Elizabeth. And to save my son, I would plot with the devil himself!

Elizabeth of York, fashion character design c. 1473-1474.
If you dare to think that I have developed some kind of obsession with little Elizabeth of York, I must tell you...
… you are right.
P.S. My mom told me she looks like a historical Tinkerbell and now I can't stop thinking about it lol
