Rowan...you're so wonderful that I came home from grocery shopping, put away only the things that needed to be kept cold, and immediately went to make this. Without further ado, our favorite non-evil dreamwalker, Elliott (whose name I have a horrid tendency to misspell, lmao).

These quotes are from Dreamwalker Boyfriend Saves You From a Nightmare and Road Trip With Your Dreamwalker Boyfriend. I surprised myself by not using a quote from his Valenweek video, because it's my favorite Elliott video, but I do have to make sure these fit well into the hand poses I chose.

I'm sure you know what's under the cut :-)

These four flowers:

Daffodil: chivalry, returning affection, new beginnings

Tulip (yellow): cheerfulness, sunshine, hope

Tulip (purple): royalty, spring, rebirth

Moonflower: dreaming of love

Pear blossom: long-lasting friendship

The flowers this time are pretty obvious in their meanings. I also considered vervain, protection against evil, for Elliott's self-proclaimed being a "protector type", but ultimately decided pear blossom was better. Growing up we always kept tulips, and my absolute favorites are the ones that bloom one color and then change into another over the course of the spring, so most of the time they're this beautiful ombre. Elliott and Sunshine are really the purple-and-yellow couple of the Redactedverse to me (doesn't every fandom seem to have at least one? just like there's always a blue-and-red couple...). Not to mention that the meanings are nice :-)

I got into Elliott's videos pretty late, like, really only when people started talking about CloseKnit and I was like "...what." But I actually really really love Elliott! I'm a sucker for a good friends-to-lovers and that hint in the beginning that there was a long "will-they-won't-they" is just my cup of tea. Not to mention Elliott is hilarious :-) My favorite part of his entire series is at the end of his Valenweek video, where he says:

“Yes”? That’s all I get? Well sure, it’s enough, but where’s the weeping, where’s the drama, where’s you cutting me off with a kiss like some kind of movie– ow, why are you hitting me–

It's really funny and really sweet and makes me smile everytime.

Anyway, so this drawing left me frantically going "do I have a maze pattern brush? NO? time to make one I guess" and then I whipped one up because it was faster than finding a free one online. I don't know if you can tell but there's actually two layers of maze overlaid– the smaller yellow one and the bigger purple one. I just think it gives it a lil somethin' somethin', y'know?
