“Something tells me we’ll get along just fine.”
Someone made the connection before and I think it's the most incredible thing: two spacey leaders whose job is to recover people who are lost on a distant planet. I needed to see them together. :D

D&D NPCs
Was reminded I should share more of my D&D NPC art
NPCs the party has met through the campaign.
Character info below the cut!
1. Alder Montgomery (he/him)
Dwarven king of the capital city. He's a legendary warrior who gained the title by defeating a necromancer and his undead army many years ago. He's stubborn, analytical, and brave.
2. Lawrence Montgomery (he/him)
Human cleric and husband of King Alder. He's the emotional intelligence of the couple, and tends to be the one citizens interact with most. Kind, caring, and wise.
3. Elma Honeyhand (she/her)
Halfling alchemist and mentor of one of the party members. Elma is a potion maker who serves the bustling farming town and remains joyful despite the town's terrible history. She's fiery, jovial, and boisterous.
4. Rosemary Tolld (she/her)
Human priestess of the Inventor. The party met her while she was tending to victims of a plague in the farming town. She's diligent, but a little morose, and quiet.
5. Andrick the Gold (he/they)
Half-elf cult leader, and prophet of the goddess of life. Andrick took over leadership of a failing cult after the previous leader's demise and has acted as a minor antagonist for the party very early on. They've grown in power significantly since the beginning, even becoming a "hero" in the capital city. He's manipulative, charming, and obsessive.
6. Aries (he/him)
Aries was met as a prisoner of a fey king. He bonded with the party, and they agreed to help him escape the Feywilds. Aries later turned out to be a black-gold dragon, and Prince of the Summer Court. He's tired of the rules and expectations of his mother, the Queen, and is rebelling by exploring the mortal plane. Angsty.
7. Clara (she/her/they/them)
Clara is the big secret of the Resurrectionists (a secret monster hunting group)
Clara is a young emerald dragon who keeps a hoard of knowledge. Magic items, books, artifacts, historical treasures. Their psionic abilities grow more and more, but she's still a child at heart so enjoys having fun. But most of their time is spent watching the world through a crystal ball. She loves to learn about the world this way, but it also helps the monster hunters get the jump on undead activity.
There's way more NPCs than this, but I don't always get the time to draw all of them. And before you ask. Yes. I do have a problem with filling my world with dragons masquerading as humanoids. I just LOVE DRAGONS

So, Xenoblade 1 and 2 have been considered. That just leaves 3 and X. Therefore, I shall ask this:
Could Noah (Xenoblade 3) and/or Elma (Xenoblade X) kill Macbeth? Both of them have... quite unusual existence situations, to say the least.
Thank you for your time.
((Okay so this was was a bitch and a half to research because apparently nobody on the internet wants to divulge any useful information about the plot of the Xenoblade games and 90% of them neglect to mention some very important plot points. I had to read a game review article to find out that Elma is an alien. I had to go through Reddit threads to get any details at all about Noah's past lives. Why is this shit so inaccessible. Anyway if there are any errors or discrepancies in this verdict then that's why.))
Yes, both Noah (left) from Xenoblade 3 and Elma (right) from Xenoblade 2/X could kill Macbeth!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Elma is easy to say yes for; she applies for the Gender Clause, obviously. Though, that being said, there are some other complications in that she is not really human, but a ((double-checking notes)) cyborg being remotely piloted by an alien, who is the actual Elma. I couldn't find anything on the specifics of how Elma's alien species reproduces, so that is unfortunately left ambiguous. If, however, we are analyzing her robotic body specifically, her robotic body applies for both of the other Clauses.
As for Noah, he does not apply for the Gender Clause, meaning he'll be a bit more difficult. Noah's whole deal here is that he has been reincarnated several times. While reincarnation would normally be ambiguous territory by our definitions, from what I have found, Noah seems to be referred to separately from his past lives, and there is at least some degree of detachment. The current incarnation is referred to consistently as Noah, though his past lives seem to be referred to primarily as N instead. This, combined with the fact that he doesn't seem to carry over memories of his previous lives (shown by the fact that each incarnation independently ends up falling in love with the same woman), I would say is enough to plausibly apply Noah for the Unconventional Birth Clause and Birth Parent Clause, with his previous incarnation credited as the "birth parent" in this case.
Thank you for your submission!

I finished Xenoblade X again today and... wow.
Tumblr media
OK so, I played Xenoblade X for the first time last year in a marathon of Xenoblade 1, X, and 2, and honestly, compared to 1 & 2, I didn't enjoy it as much. It was the only one I didn't really know much about going in. I felt like it had a lot of good parts, but I hadn't any idea what I was doing because the game has literally no tutorials and I ended up stumbling through the game when I wasn't able to use my Skell, so I just didn't have as much fun with it compared to the trilogy.
However, after finishing Xenogears and the Xenosaga Trilogy, I thought it would be a good idea to give X another shot as a nice way to bookend playing the Xeno series, specifically after watching some guides and learning how the combat actually works (Thanks Enel)
And, holy shit. Out of every game I've ever played, this and DMC 3 are the ones I'm most glad I gave a second chance. I genuinely could not stop thinking about this game after I started playing again. Before I stopped pretty much as soon as I beat the final boss, this time I went literally all the way and completed the entire Mira Survey. I'm just gonna take this chance to go in and incoherently go off about about all the stuff I have in my head about this beautiful mess of a game.
Ok so the combat. Overdrive, is a completely balanced mechanic that doesn't allow you to completely take the main game’s difficulty and snap it over your knee like a fucking twig. Except it is. Like, it is honestly comical just how trivial almost everything becomes with the right arts on your build. And if you throw really busted arts like Ghostwalker/Ghost Factory or Blossom Dance into the mix, literally nothing can stand up to you bar the literal endgame superbosses, and a big part of that is just because a lot of them, Telethia in particular, are in positions where you literally can't fight them on foot and realistically survive without a highly specialised build. But with that proper build, that probably takes a lot of grinding, you can still beat them fairly quickly, save for Levael The Terminus, because it's literally in the middle of the ocean. All because of this funny counter gear.
Going along with Overdrive, is the amount of customisation this game offers you. Almost every weapon type offers you at least a couple arts that work really well alongside Overdrive. The build I ended up with at the end was a Knife, Dual Gun combination, mainly because Smooth Recovery, is an amazing art for Overdrive, and Black Butterfly and Full Specs are great compliments for an Ether Build with Executioner as the main Damage Art. Yeah sure I ended up using Ghostwalker/Factory like most Endgame builds, but hey that shit is comically busted, and I absolutely love abusing stuff like that, intentional or otherwise. Plus I do enjoy the idea of my Cross, Coraline, using the arts of Irina and Elma, her immediate superior officers in BLADE. Which actually brings me to,
Tumblr media Tumblr media
I was honestly surprised at how much thought I ended up putting into my Cross this time around, but it was fun. Not just deciding on a good look both when creating her and finding what gear she'd wear, but also thinking about how her character woukd respond to the situations and dialogue options presented throughout the game. It's to the point that Coraline's basically become my first OC, depending on how you count Milton the Mythrakid I guess, since he's an interpretation of a character we know exists but we haven't seen or heard about. Either way I definitelywant to do more with Coraline. Probably gonna draw her some more as time goes on to get a better feel for the design as well as drawing her skell too just because.
That actually brings me around to the story. I'll be the first to admit that overall X's story falls short compared to the trilogy andveven Gears and Saga but it still has a lot of solid stuff that really git me thinking, in addition to stuff I only picked up the second time around, something Xeno stories have been fantastic with since the beginning with Gears. Obviously spoilers ahead as I talk some notable stuff in the plot
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
This moment really stuck out for me after simmering on it for a while. Because this idea that memories and the continuation of a person's consciousness are what make them who they are would continue as a prominent thematic plot point in the following games. Xenoblade 2 emphasises it the most heavily with Blades losing their memories with each reawakening, thus they lose their "contuity of consciousness". It's quite literally the central source of conflict for Blades and is everywhere in the main story and side content with characters like Praxis, Theory and Vess. Xenoblade 3 has this too, albeit as a more subtle background element with the Agnian and Kevesi Soldiers effectively being reset upon death as they are reborn, however there are still cases where things slip through the cracks, most notably with Eunie and Ashera. Yet despite that, Monica asserts to Eunie that whatever her past life was, it wasn't her and she didn't make it, all because soldiers simply don't have that continuity of consciousness.
Thinking about it now X has plenty of thematic ideas that 2 & 3 would go on to pull from. Things like a cycle of death and rebirth, something that Blade and NLA are trying to achieve with finding the Lifehold Core. As Lao puts it, they're the lucky ones who can come back as many times as they want. Lao's arc is particularly well done all things considered. A moment early on that stuck out to me was when they were discussing how Lin got her spot on the Whale as a way to repay her parents who were crucial in getting the ship going in the first place. Lao, whether he shows it or not, would have some misgivings about that, and Elma seemingly picks up on that and is quick to point out Lin's own skill were crucial in her getting her spot and that it wasn't just pure nepotism. It's really interesting to see Elma pick up on Lao's misgivings so early. If we do ever get an X sequel, which I do think and hope we will sooner or later, I'll be very curious to see where Lao's character goes from here. Speaking of characters who I really want to learn more about,
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Elma is a really interesting character honestly despite the many unanswered questions surrounding her, it just has me more intrigued to learn more about her. The question of what her species and planet are like is one i really want to see explored someday. Funnily enough, 2 actually gave us a breadcrumb of that. Elma has a line when receiving a Seafood pouch item, one of her favourite categories, where she expresses fascination with the concept. "Making meals out of marine lifeforms, fascinating" which I've always taken as her species just straight up not having a concept of seafood. Idk why, it's such a minor inconsequential detail that isn't even from X but I always found that super interesting. Her designs are also two of my favourites in the Xeno series, especially dince they double as subtle references to Kos-Mos and T-Elos. I think I lean a little more towards Alien Elma though, something about the crystal hair is really cool to me.
A few other Miscellaneous things I can think of:
The sidequests are fantastic. While many are a little tedious, they do a really good job of building the world and fleshing out the natures and cultures of the different alien species that come to inhabit NLA.
The Affinity Missions go hand in hand with this, they do a great job of fleshing out all the different party members all the while giving you an avenue to learn their unique abilities. Most of those party members are also really well developed abd mostly compelling characters. Even the most if the ones who seem like assholes at first, like Boze or HB, do get better as their affinity missions progress. They clearly knew it was a great concept as it came back in 2 & 3 with the Blade Quests and Hero + Ascension Quests.
The ost is fucking incredible, I've been adding X music to my personal playlist over the course of my playthrough because there's so much good stuff in it. It's honestly criminal how much you end up missing because the Overdrive and Flight themes override 90% of them.
Skells are incredibly cool and a brilliant way to bring in the concept of mech combat systems from the previous Xeno games.
Phew, I think that's everything I've had to say. I've called out many of this game's flaws in other places and most of that I do still stand by. The game is in desperate need of an actual tutorial and QoL improvements. The game's draw distance can be quite frustrating at times trying to find specific things or characters and getting certain materials can be a really annoying grind, (Neinail Materials), but if you can put up with that there is a hell of a game there. I don't know if I'd consider it better than the trilogy, just because it has more complete stories, but it's quite close.
Overall I'm so happy I gave X a second shot and now I'll definitely be there waiting for a port or sequel. It's easily the most underrated game I've ever played. I'm confident it'll happen at some point but either way I'l likely have more Xeno stuff to play in the meantime if whatever's next is Xenoblade 4.

PASSIONATE OCEAN GUILD STORY #1
URBANO : Alright, this meat's cooked! Here Emma, have some!
EMMA : Thank you, Urbano. This meat is incredibly delicious!!
ELMA : The old man from the town's butcher shop gave it to us for free. All I said was I'm gonna be having a barbecue and he was like, "take it."
EMMA : You're a networking pro, Elma!
SEARLE : Ooooh~! I want some of that meat too!
URBANO : Hey, get your paws off it! That meat was for Emma! It's what I call, "Urbano's Ultra Special Steak!"
EMMA : How is it ultra special...?
SHEILA : It's ultra special because he made it for you, Emma. He said that he wanted to express his gratitude toward you. It is the season of love, is it not?
ELMA : Yup! This barbecue is also to express our gratitude to the people who joined Passionate Ocean!
SHEILA : I'm good at making seafood dishes, but today I'll leave the steak to Urbano.
ELMA : We also made some Granita~! Eat as much as you want~!
EMMA : Hehe, alright. Thank you!
SHEILA : I thought you were going to invite the locals to the barbecue, Elma?
SEARLE : Barely anyone showed up.
EMMA : It was supposed to be an event to invite people to join Passionate Ocean...
ELMA : Yeah, I guess there wasn't a lot of interest. But, it's okay! This is fun too! So all's well that ends well! Let's make sure it's a lot of fun for the few people who did show up, kay~?
Tumblr media
SHIELA : Haha, your carefree attitude is admirable.
ELMA : I'm gonna go on a little patrol to make sure there are no disturbances!
SEARLE : I'll go too~!!
EMMA : ........
SHEILA : You look like you're enjoying the peace.
EMMA : Hehe, you can tell?
EMMA : (I think the stock of alcohol is somewhere around here...)
GUY 1 : Hey! You're adorable~
EMMA : Huh...?
GUY 2 : I've been trying to talk to you this whole time, but those surfer guys are really protective of you, you know~?
EMMA : (Looks like he's pretty drunk.)
EMMA : I'm sorry. I'm working right now.
GUY 2 : Don't be so cold~ I just wanna have some fun~★
GUY 1 : What we have in mind is WAY more fun than work~
SHEILA : You two want to have some fun, you say? In that case, we'll entertain you until you die laughing.
GUY 1 & GUY 2 : Eeek!!
URBANO : Don't go troubling our precious Guild Keeper, got it?
SEARLE : It's not good to get drunk and bother others!
ELMA : We're not into your kind. But if you really wanna join Passionate Ocean, we'll give you guys some "special training" later, how about that?
URBANO : Haha! We won't let you out of the ocean!
GUY 1 & GUY 2 : Helppp~!!
Tumblr media
ELMA : Ah, they ran away. You okay, Emma?
SEARLE : We were all so worried~! After you went to check the alcohol stash, those guys followed you and we knew they were up to no good!
URBANO : Yeah, I had a bad feeling about it, so we all came back. It was the right call. Did they do anything weird to you?
EMMA : You guys showed up just in time, so I'm fine. Thank you so much.
SHIELA : Why did you take the initiative to check on the alcohol when you could have asked us?
ELMA : Emma, you gotta be careful, y'know? There are people out here who just wanna ruin your fun. I want today to be fun for you! You always work so hard for us, you deserve to relax.
SEARLE : I want to see Emma smiling~!!
SHEILA : After what just happened, try not to stray too far from us.
URBANO : If anything happens I'll protect you!!
EMMA : (These guys are all so protective...It's kinda embarrassing, but it also feels really nice.)
EMMA : Thank you!

alrighty!! even though i have exams next week instead of studying iiiiiii. have translated yet another song. shikaki to koohii :P it isn't my favorite but i like it because well. it's pretty important for amy lore and stuff also yorushika
if you're wondering when i'm finally going to post dakaboku i'll do that one after i post all the remaining dakaboku songs (which is... this one and elma)
4/12, 詩書きとコーヒー (Songwriting and Coffee/Shikaki to Koohii)
In this minimal, "bare essentials" life, in this small six tatami mat room, Staying with you was what I should've done, that was the only thing I kept thinking about. If the color of happiness truly is semi-transparent, then I guess I wish I'd have never seen it. Without doing anything, today ends.
In this bare-minimum life, in this small six tatami mat room, I keep staring at the ceiling, every day, thinking about what I should do The price of happiness is about 60000 yen But after rent, I've only got 4000 yen I guess I'll just spend my time looking for lost memories
And now, I can talk about love with cold, empty eyes But even so, my coffee, it's still cold, too… I hate it!
I don't understand, I don't understand, don't understand, don't understand. Even though you've turned into a distant memory, you're still in front of me, in my way I don't get it, don't understand, don't see it, don't know how, How people can just walk right Or simply say things like goodbye
At the lowest point in life, in a slightly bigger flat, I write down lyrics about cut-off gas, memories and this cold shower If this life really goes on like this, there's probably two years left for me, So I guess I'll keep going, racking my head for memories - Something, anything - that reminds me of you
Sunny days, and festivals at night, and those streetlights in Sekimachi And clouds, and mirages, and this outlook I have on these lyrics - It's all just sophistry.
I still don't understand, don't understand, don't understand, don't understand -- You've become a memory a long time ago, but you still manage to show up in these songs I don't see it, I don't get it, don't see how, don't understand, I don't know how things can even be forgotten Or what I should do from here on out.
With these cold, empty eyes, here I am writing a song about you All of these days I've got, I've been living through them all for your sake As dreams, and things like your mouth and eyes fade away, Look, someday this song's time will soon run out Because this go around - it's already yours!
I don't understand. I don't get it. I don't know how. I don't see it. Please, at least turn into a memory, become part of a song, I still don't know, don't understand, don't see, don't know how, How everyone can just keep walking, Acting like it's natural, commonplace - I don't understand at all. I don't understand anything.
---
yes, i know there are many readings for shikaki. it can also be called utagaki to koohii but i think shikaki rolls off the tongue better (ew roll of the tongue sounds weird. we should make a newer version of that.) (OH WAIT THERE'S THIS THING CALLED SOUNDS BETTER TWT) anyways. shikaki to koohii sounds better imo
also what's up with the price of happiness costing 60000 yen? i wonder if there's anything you can buy that equals happiness with about 400 usd :/ uhm yeah that's all. wooo.

Who is your favorite of all your OCs? And what do they look like?
Which OC do you think has the most aesthetic outfit?
What two OCs would never stop bickering?
What two OCs would be best friends forever?
Would any of your OCs commit crimes?
Oh goodness that's a bunch of very difficult questions. Haha
Favourite OC: God they all have awesome parts to them, I think my persona character (Rowan) should be up there for the pure nostalgia she brings - I've had her for four years and I tried to replace her once and she dragged me back by the hair. As for the proper OCs, though, Sequoia (One of my sides, representing intelligence, curiousity and childish spirit) is probably my favourite, I love her a lot, little scrunkle, and what they both look like:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Which has the best outfit: Willow for sure. Though a lot of my sides have really fun outfits that I love a lot, this is what she looks like
Tumblr media
Which two would never stop bickering: A lot of my sides fall into this category lmao - specifically though, Elma (Conformity/'logic') and Aspen, (Rebellion) argue and bicker pretty much constantly.
Best Friends Forever: this one's really hard, I think Eve (robot gal) would get along really well with Hazel (My side who represents my coping mechanisms) they'd be the kind of besties who would be able to chill on the sofa and do their own thing whilst having quiet time. On the flip side, I think Selina (hippie fae) would get along really well with Wisteria (my creativity) they would be besties of the century, and unstoppable force, lol.
Would any of them commit crimes: Aspen absolutely would no questions asked, Wisteria might if provoked. I think Mae would probably commit crimes too if it was for the betterment of her or other's lives.
Thank you for the questions!!! These were really fun to answer :3

Beached. Part 14
Jake "Hangman" Seresin
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Précis: Kyle Jassen was looking for a quiet day at the beach, but a rogue football put her en route to a whirlwind romance with a hotshot naval fighter pilot
Note: I couldn’t help myself. This fic is cross-posted, and my first TGM fic. Since I was like an excited child and immediately began writing this fic after my first time watching TGM, some canon has been ignored. Another shorty but goodie.

I had volunteered to help set up for Asher and Maddie’s party. Lindsey took me up on my offer, but because they could hire help, it was a ploy for us to hang out before the festivities. Emma also came, and we drank Irish coffees on the patio. Primarily, I drank coffee while Emma and Lindsey chatted about the family. Every now and then I would be called upon to answer a question about California Jake.
Lindsey sighed and sat her coffee on the table. “Those two idiots.” She was referring to her father and brother. “I’m just glad they didn’t rope Todd into boxing.” Lindsey pinched the bridge of her nose. “Normally Todd ends up wrapped in their shenanigans,” she explained.
“It’s never a dull moment with Jake.” I added, sipping my coffee.
“Not much has changed.” Emma snorted.
My eyes widened. “Do tell. I’d love some Jake anecdotes to hold against him later.”
I drank up every story as they spilled Jake’s adolescent antics. Well, the ones they knew about. My mind drifted, thinking about what he got into as the only boy—surely his sisters were spared that knowledge.
The afternoon came too soon. Todd summoned Lindsey for hosting duties, and Emma was resigned to babysitting as her niece and nephew begged her to play with them. I took advantage of the alone time and continued to sip coffee.
Jake had arrived but was busy reacquainting with cousins, aunts, uncles and longtime family friends. We already discussed that I was not expected to shake hands and kiss babies with him—we’d save that for the wedding the next evening.
I remained tucked away on the patio, not wanting to draw any attention, for as long as possible. After discreetly joining the crowd to sing “Happy Birthday” and watch the twins open their gifts, I wandered back to my perch.
Upon my return, I found Elma. “Hi!” I greeted her.
“Come, sit!” She patted the cushion next to her. She had a full tea service with sandwiches sitting on the table. She readied me tea as I sat. With a grateful nod, I accepted the cup. “Are you enjoying your stay?” She asked as she sipped her beverage.
“It’s been lovely. Mostly,” I replied, mirroring her actions.
She sighed. “I’m sorry about dinner. Thomas is often a Grade A ass.” Elma took a sip of tea.
“Why?” The question fell from my lips before I realized I had asked.
Elma’s shoulders rose toward her ears. “It’s hard to say. I think he needs Jake and is a little jealous that Jake managed to carve his own path instead of following Thomas’ wishes.”
Before Elma and I could dive any deeper, Jake appeared. “There you are.” His Seresin Smile™ beaming.
I smiled back. “Hey.” He sat down beside me and stole my tea. Elma scolded him while she prepared another one. I took the fresh one and shot him a glare. Happily sipping my, now his, tea, he pretended not to notice.
“How was your morning?” He looked at me. Elma also waited for me to respond.
I leaned back in my seat. “Mhmmm, I learned a lot about baby Jake.” His eyes widened. “Not from Elma, from your sisters. Although, I think Elma might have juicier stories.” I leaned over and winked at her. “We’ll have to chat later.” She chortled.
“Oh, boy.” He put his teacup to his lips. “I suppose it’s time for you to learn more Seresin family secrets, including our football plays.” My eyebrows rose. “I told you I needed you to throw the pigskin with my dad. It’s time for our family football game! Tradition at every birthday party.”
“You’re kidding.” I stated more than asked. Elma was shaking her head.
He put his cup on the table, repeated his actions with mine and presented his hand to help me up. “Serious as a heart attack.” He kept hold of my hand as we neared a slew of people getting pinnies and being sorted into teams.
“What happened to a casual backyard toss around?” I inquired.
“It’ll start more casual than usual—there are kids in this game.” He lowered his sunglasses and winked.
Thomas and Jake served as the starting quarterbacks and captains. In the years of Jake’s absence, Todd had been serving as a captain. However, Thomas was quick to let his son-in-law know that his biological son was much more athletically inclined and would call the shots.
It was fun cheering on the kids as they ran the ball like tiny drunk people down the field. The touchdown dances caused scores of laughter from kids and adults alike. Little did I know, Jake was beaming, watching me with his niece and nephew. At one point, they toppled me over and dogpiled on me. Everyone was unharmed, but Jake was quick to my rescue, tossing the pair over his shoulders.
Eventually, the kids got bored and it was time for the adults-only game. “Kyle.” I turned just in time to two-hand catch a ball that Jake spiraled right to me. “You’re up.”
“Excuse me?” Thomas looked between us.
Jake shrugged. “My team, I decide the positions. Kyle is QB.” Jake lined us up offensively for the first snap. Thomas quickly lined up his team to defend. “Enjoy the view.” As my center, Jake looked over his shoulder and winked as he crouched down in front of me to snap the ball. I rolled my eyes as I got into position.
Since I was still learning the Seresin playbook, Jake called the play and hiked the ball. I caught it and watched everyone running in front me. I dropped back into the pocket and looked for an opening. Jake was streaking up the field, his dad, not even close, but the closest opponent to him. Aligning my fingers with the laces, I pulled my arm back behind my head and launched the ball. It spiraled perfectly and nestled in the crook of Jake’s elbow for him to run into the end zone. We all threw our arms up in celebration.
Thomas stared at me as I jogged down to celebrate with Jake. Jake threw an arm around me as we walked back for the next snap. Thomas shrugged with a smug look on his face. “Lucky throw.” Unconsciously, a smile pulled the corners of my lips as I thought about how mad Thomas was going to be when every throw was just as lucky as the first one.
Now on defense, my team lined up. Our team had discussed the play. I had my route to cover the opposing receiver, which was Todd. The ball snapped, and I tracked his path. Thomas threw the ball, and I leapt to intercept it with one hand. Cradling the ball, I charged down the field, walking by the time I crossed the end zone. Jake was whooping and hollering along with the rest of our team.
Thomas seemed incredulous as we walked back to reset. The next four drives all ended with me throwing to a receiver for a touchdown or me intercepting the ball for a pick six. It didn’t matter what play Thomas ran, I anticipated and countered.
Not slouches themselves, Emma and Lindsey were very impressed with me. “Where did you find this machine?” They asked Jake.
He laughed. “We didn’t name her MVP for nothing!” His arm hooked around my neck and kissed my sweaty temple.
Thomas was clearly unhappy with how the game was going.“Let’s mix up the teams—redraft!” Thomas yelled.
“Redraft!” Everyone echoed. We all lined up. In addition, Thomas decided Todd could reclaim his captain position. Jake fell into line with the rest of us. Thomas allowed himself to choose first and selected Jake, so Todd picked his wife (of course!), and then Thomas chose his other daughter. Ever the good son-in-law, Todd played right into Thomas’ hand, choosing me next.
My body shook with laughter. Thomas eyed me like he wanted to have me committed. “I assume Jake didn’t have time to tell you how we met as you were punching each other in the face?” His expression never changed. I shrugged my shoulders. “Your loss.”
Jake and I lined up across from each other. “We’re doing full contact?” I winked at him. He just shook his head in disbelief. I blew him a kiss in response. Todd began shouting the play.
Through the entire quarter, every play, every position, I out ran, out jumped and out performed Jake or whoever else Thomas put in front of me. The icing on the cake was me sacking Thomas (it was a soft tackle!), forcing a fumble and recovering the ball for a touchdown.
Thomas was still pouting on the ground after my team was done celebrating. I walked back and extended a hand to help him up. He stared at me hard for a minute and then accepted it. We locked eyes as he stood. Jake clearly inherited Thomas’ height as I looked up to keep eye contact. “Good game.” I smiled and walked away.
Later, I learned I had cemented my claim as Elma’s second favorite human (behind Jake, of course). Emma and Lindsey were still in awe, and Linda was proud of how I handled Thomas.
Jake, well, it was like the day we met all over again. However, this time, his behavior wasn’t at all reserved.
As we returned to our cabin, my adrenaline was still soaring. That was my championship game. I managed to put Thomas in his place and further my rapport with the rest of the Seresins.
From behind, Jake’s hands hugged my hips and his face nestled into the crook of my neck. Quickly, I turned to face him, my hands resting on his chest. His sank to my ass.
We stared at each other, and then I pushed myself onto my tiptoes so our lips met. One of his hands slipped to the base of my neck and the other stayed planted on my backside. My hands wandered south and dipped past the waistband of his shorts.
Jake was already semi-hard. He growled as our lips separated. His jaw came to rest against my temple, and his hand stayed anchored on my neck. I looked between us and pulled his shorts away from his body just enough to allow a stream of saliva to drop into my hand. He purred as my hand worked along his length. Occasionally, I would run my thumb over his tip. Soft neck squeezes let me know he was enjoying himself.
A smile graced my lips as I listened to the string of curses and praises leaving Jake's mouth. I continued my work but guided his body to the closest surface, which happened to be the plush reading chair in the library nook. My hands left him just long enough to push him into the chair and then pull his shorts to his ankles. He wanted to step out, but I kept him shackled.
Our gazes locked, me looking up at him through my lashes. I was still clothed, kneeling on the floor. I sat back on my calves to continue guiding my hands along him. Out of the corner of my eye, I watched as he white-knuckled the chair arms. It was taking all his might not to buck his hips, which he knew would lead to me dragging out the handjob longer.
I held his stare as my lips moved to his tip. My lips rested on it as I let spit pool and drip down his length, my hand helping spread it down his shaft. My tongue lapped the underside of his tip, and then traced the ridges. Eventually, I slipped the whole head in my mouth. Slowly, I began bobbing up and down, adding more of his length each time. Suddenly, I felt Jake take a deep breath. I watched, never faltering, as he remembered to breathe.
My palms came to rest on the floor in front me as my mouth continued to work. At this point, I was in a rhythm, taking his whole length. Purposefully, I exaggerated some of my sounds to fulfill Jake’s favorite porn fantasies. Every so often—him plunged in the back of my throat—I’d hold him there and slide my tongue around his balls.
He groaned. “Can I cum in your throat?” Always a gentleman, even on the brink of orgasm. Encouraging his release, I constricted my throat. He melted back into the chair and gripped the arms. I stayed with him as his hips bucked. We stilled as he twitched in my mouth. I watched his rollercoaster of facial expressions as his cum coated my esophagus. After a minute, I hollowed my cheeks and began to pull away. His tip came out with a pop, and I licked my lips.
“A gift for my biggest fan.” I got off the floor and stood in front of him. He was spent—his bare chest sweaty and knees splayed but ankles together, cuffed by his shorts. His elbows rested on the chair arms and his forearms dangled off the sides. His body was low in the chair because his hips were still at the edge. He was relaxed, unguarded. After a few seconds, he looked at me.
“God, you’re gorgeous.” In his post-orgasm haze, I’m sure I looked ethereal to him—lips swollen and cheeks flushed. A smile played across my face as I leaned forward and put my hands on the chair arms.
Our faces were close. “Just wait until you see me cleaned up.”

ELMA - Xenoblade Chronicles X
Tumblr media
PROPAGANDA (BELOW THE CUT)
so X is definitely the forgotten middle child of the xenoblade series, and say want you want about the story and customizable MC, Elma is an amazing character. for starters, she is incredibly badass. unlike the other protags of the series, she’s already pretty distinguished and doesn’t have too much character growth, but i don’t care. because she’s already got so much going for her. not only is she an amazing fighter, using dual guns or swords, but she’s a really good diplomat. she basically talked her way out of a hostage situation and convinced her captors to join her side. not to mention she can do both the tough love (she has a reputation as an intense “drill sergeant” from back in her military days) and soft and caring approach depending on who she’s with. she’s really people smart. and while it seems like she’s a pretty flawless character, she still is haunted by all the people she couldn’t save. nearly 10 billion people died on earth, and i’m sure she blames herself for only being able to save a handful and having to give in the corruption of people only letting the rich and connected have a chance at survival. not to mention all her comrades that she lost in battles because she wasn’t strong enough and they prioritised her life over there’s. i just know she feels like so much of the continued survival of humanity is on her shoulders alone and she lost some of the few people she felt she could share it with. (not to mention there’s tons of people in-game who have a massive crush on her) the series has definitely had issues with the ridiculous outfits it sticks female characters in, but Elma’s outfit is so good. she is obviously an attractive character with a good figure, and i love love love how her outfit looks practical for someone going out fighting and adventuring and still makes her look good. she has armour on her arms and legs, proper support for her large chest, and the optional head gear for her set just adds the perfect spacey futuristic touch. not to mention dark skin and white hair? one of the peaks of character design, i love my poc queen. [ENDGAME SPOILERS FOR XENOBLADE X BELOW] now her true form does have the big clear front with the inner boob window, but i can excuse it because it’s space armour and she’s so pretty. her new hair is so cool, it’s all sparkly and falls in these crystal-y shapes. also it’s very long and i’m a sucker for both long-hair and inhuman design elements. and i’m pretty sure when you unlock the option to play with her true form in the post game you can still use the different armour sets so she can wear her normal outfit

Happy one-year anniversary of my FafTakElma's Wip! Started January 4, 2022 and so far not finished—a great reason to celebrate, of course!
Oh. Do you want to hear the word of FafTakElma?
Then let's go!
This is the dynamic I imagine for them:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
I just love them together and understand that it may seem strange due to their lack of interactions in the anime, so here I will talk more about why and how they work (or almost work, at least).
Almost all of their interactions are taken from Elma's spin-off manga "Elma OL Nikki", so if you haven't read it and don't want to take spoiler, I recommend stopping the post here—the same warning for the main manga, that there is a spoiler from recent chapters (but not so much).
The Takiya x Elma dynamic
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
They are the typical trope of co-workers to lovers. Even in the anime they are shown getting along very well in the work environment and complement each other in the scenes where they appear with Kobayashi. A friendly, but not so intimate relationship. But it is in the spin-off that we see their real interactions; Elma as an outgoing, cheerful and somewhat silly woman with Takiya, a very patient and very nice guy. Elma is usually shown asking Takiya for help, asking him questions so that he can answer them, and trying to help him (even if most of the time the attempts are completely unsuccessful). As a harmony dragon, I feel that Elma has a natural potential to get along with Takiya's calm and friendly spirit. They would surely reel for a long time in this friendship until Elma, with her terrible dragon social tact, confesses to him. Sure, Fafnir would be very jealous and defensive that Elma was invading his space and pulling Takiya into more social activities (and that's what I'm writing about), but in time I think they would come to an agreement to share Takiya harmoniously and consequently become friends.
Spoilers for chapter 113 of the main manga!!!
I know that the long arc that wrapped up around these chapters is about Elma's arranged marriage and the implications of a polyamour/love triangle between Kobayashi, Elma and Tohru, but I'm not a big fan of that dynamic, much less this arc of the manga. I like hc Tohru and Elma having a past relationship, but I don't think they have a good romantic dynamic in the current moments. Good for those who ship the three of them together (it's a cute ship for sure), but not for me. What I took away important from these chapters, however, is the implicit confirmation that Elma is polyamorous. She suggests several times to Tohru a polyamory between the three of them, even though Tohru doesn't seem willing to share Kobayashi.
Tumblr media
And so we come to the end of chapter 113, where she returns to work and confesses to liking Takiya too! He is quite stunned (as you can see in the picture) and as much as this is completely dismissed (as is almost all the information in this manga), you can see how much her innocent nature makes her love everyone. And that's very cute. I think that in the right way, they could work out very well in a canonical setting.
Fafiya is my main ship, though. If Elma and Takiya were to stay together, I would prefer polyamory, which is impossible to happen. Even more so in the manga, where Fafnir barely has any stories focused on him or in which he appears at all. The Fafiya moments delivered to us in the anime are completely original, directed by the sadly departed director of Dragon Maid. So it's something to think about.
Chaos Dragon meets Harmony Dragon
Now, I don't ship Fafnir x Elma. They wouldn't work romantically from my perspective, however, they would make great friends! In the manga mostly they have no meaningful interactions, but the spin-off is filled with moments of them and the dynamic is GOLD. Because of the difference in their natures inherited by their factions, the comedy they create fills the scenes with joy and good laughs. They are true opposites communicating; Fafnir with that edgylord aura with a ray of sunshine that is Elma, but who at the same time share one thing in common: ignorance about human topics. The innocence of both of them in that regard is so amusing, it is as if they could understand each other for a moment. If they got on good terms, the polyamor relationship between Takiya, Fafnir and Elma, no matter how much Fafnir and Elma were not romantically involved could work just as well. I have even more pages of their dynamic (which are not few) since there was an entire chapter dedicated to this duo, but unfortunately tumblr has a picture limit.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
There isn't a topic for Fafiya because it's pretty obvious why they work and why they are one of the healthiest couples in anime. They are still my OTP and I love them as a couple, although I would like to see them with Elma in an OT3. Takiya is great at dragon taming (no pun intended), so I feel like he would know how to balance his two opposing dragons and put them on good terms without forcing the bar and always giving Fafnir plenty of room. They are dragons, so the prejudice for that kind of relationship is non-existent.
They would still have their challenges, but at the end of the day it's a ship that I really appreciate and wish I could introduce to people.
Thanks for reading!

Hi! I absolutely adore Blood Moon, it's easily in my Top5 if I had to list my all-time favorite interactive novels, I love it so much <3 Marco is my number one bae, and Roe is a close second.
I've re-played Blood Moon many times now, trying different things so I can read all the possible scenes. But there's one thing I just can't get, no matter what I try.
So, I want to ask, how do I make Elma an Alpha? I've tried so many things, I literally have so many different manual saves of the game on my PC, but I still can't make it happen. It's always Sergi or Addie, and if I pitch in, then it's me.
I just really want to do Roe's romance and not be the Alpha in the end, and get that steamy cabin scene. :'( <3
Unfortunately, I deleted the Elma as an Alpha route because when you abandon territory the game gets cut short by two whole characters, and I didn't want that to happen to players who didn't want that. So, if you want to go to Roe's territory, you need to become the Alpha and choose yourself.
I hope that makes sense. 💙
