Penny for your thoughts on Emree going to earth with M'gann/Emree in general? (didn't know where to put the apostrophe in Emree)

I messaged @youngjusticeslut about this when I finished the episode, but I think Em'ree is suspicious. Like I can't shake the feeling that any new character could be a traitor and that includes Em'ree.

That said, if I turn off my conspiracy brain for a moment, I think it's nice that Em'ree is coming to help M'gann in her time of need. I think it shows real character growth, and sibling bonds always get me <3. I don't think we'll see a lot more of them for a while (at least not until May 20th in-universe since it takes a month to fly back from Mars), but Em'ree having culture shock parallel to s1 M'gann would be fun and I'm interested if she and Gar will have a decent relationship or if he'll finally snap at her for wearing his (other) mom's face.

I absolutely loved the episode! All the subplots and plot twists where on point. What do you think about Em'ree moving to Earth? I think it'll be interesting but I feel like she will be just a burden for M'gann. I think Em'ree was a bit tone deaf in that sense. And besides, isn't she married? What about her husband?

I'm glad you enjoyed it :) I had a feeling Em'ree would be returning to Earth with M'gann. It might be a burden, and it's definitely not the best time for this decision, but maybe she thought M'gann might need someone, and that someone should be her. I can't fault her for that. And eh, who needs a husband? :P

I just finished the Episode "Nomed Esir!"... 

Again, I didn’t like this jumping from past to present. Also shoving in M'gann story. it’s sad to see her like this. I wonder if her sister will take her place in the team? While M’gann takes time off. 

I’ve heard of Arion before. But I didn’t remember him being connected to Vandal Savage. But after a quick google search... He’s not related to him. Although he does have a connection to Atlantis, also serves as a Lord of Order.

I do like the Idea of Arion being the grandson of Savage. I’m interested to see where this storyline is going. 

Doctor Fate with Savage? idk... I really hope Zatara doesn’t get killed off. We already have two broken young justice members. Or Maybe Zatara will try to stop what Savage & Nabu have planned. Khalid Nassour has been Doctor Fate before. 🤷‍♂️

It was great to see Etrigan. I did like when he got in Mary Bromfield face & talked about her other form. I wonder if we’ll see it?

I wanted to make a post about Martians in Young Justice because I know that it's not necessarily the easiest thing to remember.

(M'gann and her uncle, J'onn)

So let's start it off with M'gann's family. M'gann's parents are M'aatt M'orzz and J'ann M'orzz (interestingly enough, martians wives seem to take their husband's last names after marriage). M'gann's mom, J'ann, is J'onn J'onzz's sister. It seems that martian families tend to use the same first letter when naming their children.

M'gann has 12 sisters and 17 brothers but we've only met one of each. M'comm M'orzz, who is now calling himself Ma'alefa'ak, is M'gann's misguided little brother. Misguided is putting it nicely, the guy is a terrorist, but hopefully he can be redeemed for M'gann's sake. Em'ree J'onzz, born M'ree M'orzz, is M'gann's little sister and is the lead expert of zeta technology on Mars.

Alright so now let's get into the Martian races. Despite the fact that they're all basically genetically identical minus skin coloration and the fact that they can shapeshift, racism is rampant on Mars to the point of almost being in an all out race war.

There are Red Martians (B'lahdenn), Yellow Martians (Y'ellonn), Green Martians (G'arrunn) and White Martians (A'ashenn).

The Martian society views the 'pecking order' so to speak as B'lahdenn > Y'ellonn > G'arrunn > A'ashenn.

The B'lahdenn are royalty and only Martians from a royal blood line will be B'lahdenn so they are held above the rest. Notable B'lahdenn are the Queen, J'arlia J'axx, and the prince, J'emm J'axx.

(First and only shown Y'ellonn, S'yraa S'mitt)

Y'ellonn is actually not a 'race' in a traditional sense, any martian of any race could be Y'ellonn, they just have to be able to perform magic. Y'ellonn's permanently shapeshift their skin to be yellow and are highly respected in Martian society. Notable Y'ellonn are S'yraa S'mitt.

G'arrunn are the ethnic majority. They are just average Martians who are green. Notable G'arrunn are J'onn J'onzz, J'ann M'orzz and Em'ree J'onzz. B'arzz O'oomm, the Green Beetle, is another notable G'arrunn. R'ess E'dda is the jerk G'arrunn who tried to shut down Em'ree's project and keeps being generally villainous.

A'ashenn is the ethnic minority. They are viewed as less than because of their skin color. Notable A'ashenn are M'gann M'orzz, M'aatt M'orzz and M'comm M'orzz.

You Kill their Loves, You Face their Wrath

Since watching Rogue's rampage in the latest X-Men 97 episode over the loss of Gambit, it strongly reminded me of Miss Martian's grief when Superboy was believed to have been killed on Young Justice. I can't get enough of how much alike they are!

• Both were determined to seek vengeance against the person they held responsible and went on a VERY angry and grief-stricken rampage. Nothing was gonna stand in their way.

• They each had a moment where they broke down in their siblings arms to grieve for their lost loves.

• However, the one striking difference between the grief of these two women was when they finally confronted the men who were supposedly responsible... Rogue dropped Trask to his death while Miss Martian stopped herself from doing something she'd regret.

Rogue and Miss Martian's Outcomes

Rogue's actions were shocking to the core. She wasn't gonna let anything stop her from seeking revenge for not just Gambit, but everyone who perished on Genosha and went after the very man who created the Sentinels in the first place. Although Trask confessed there were bigger players involved, including Mister Sinister, that didn't matter to Rogue. She was consumed with rage, grief and revenge. She didn't just lose Remy, but Magneto too. She lost 2 of the greatest loves of her life in a single day! And with that, all logic and reason goes out the window. Nothing anybody said or did was gonna stop her and now there's no telling how Rogue will come back from the dark path that now awaits her.

Miss Martian's actions prove just how far she's come in her journey. If this were the same Miss Martian from Season 2, she wouldn't have hesitated for a second to fry M'comm's mind and leave him catatonic, but she didn't. When Miss Martian confirmed that M'comm was NOT responsible for Superboy's death, she backed off and let him go. Miss Martian has been down this road before and if she mind blasted M'comm, it wouldn't her help or ease her grief. It would only be adding another sin to her conscience and repeating her past mistakes. She maybe in the same pain as Rogue, but her actions proved more than anything despite her desire for vengeance, she wanted justice for her beloved, Superboy.

The Support of Family

What's even more saddening about all this was Rogue had the support of all the X-Men who wanted to help get justice for Gambit and in spite of their support, Rogue still chose revenge. With Miss Martian, she was separated from her adoptive family; The Original Team when Superboy was killed and yet despite their absence, she still chose the right path and eagerly awaited to reunite with her loved ones to help her process her grief.
