If anyone was gonna get a Grand slam in half wet Imola, it was gonna be Max
He is mad skilled. He didn't leave a smidge of door open like the polesitter of last year did for him when he started from 3rd. He kept the door closed for everyone
He is incredibly smart: knew slicks were the switch to do as answered to GP but waited just long enough so he overcut everyone else including his teammate who is really comfortable now & the very fast rival that is Charles edit: He also made the decision to pit for softs cuz both Charles & Checo pitted & who wouldn't utilise a completely free pit window that would leave him 13 seconds to spare?
One of the best if not the very best in the wet. He rarely makes mistakes in those conditions. Worst result he had in the rain was 9th... in half a car due to a crash that was not on him. The best? The ones he won which are actually quite a few!
It's about time people aknowledge this

The race at Imola looks like it's the going to be the first Formula 1 race cancelled due to climate change.

Currently writing my thesis on disaster management and all these comments on twitter about wanting the Imola GP to go through is giving me so much material about risk perception and prioritization.
... although I would never reference F1 on my master’s thesis... cuz that’s just... no.

Valtteri drove so fabulous today, deserved p5💙
He could make it to P4, but unfortunatly the car just came short in pace. But P5 is still a great result✨
