Everyone seems to prefer reboogles over likes, and I'm too deep in this fandom not to give them anymore. (Also, I can't sort my likes by tags to find squat.) So here I'll list what my tags will be so if I or anyone else is in a mood for a particular character or aesthetic, all I gotta do is click a tag.

As 99% of what will be reblogged is art, it will not have its own tag. Written works will be tagged as #written works. Written works I have written will be tagged #panda writes, those written by others will be tagged #others writings.

Anything associated with the spin-off game Warriors: Three Hopes will be tagged #three hopes. This includes routes, events, and outfits. Similarly, anything associated with the mobile game Heroes (such as seasonal attire) such will be tagged #heroes.

Works with detailed backgrounds will be tagged #scenery.

If a pet animal (e.g. cats, dogs) or other fauna found in nature (e.g. birds, game) is in the work, the work will be tagged #animals. Works with pegasi, war horses, or wyverns will instead be tagged #noble steeds.

If the art depicts food, whether preparing or enjoying it, there will be the tag #food. Tea times, picnics, and meals fall under this category.

Timeline:

Works set before the events of White Clouds will be tagged #flashback.

Works set during White Clouds or depicting the students as students will be tagged #white clouds or #cindered shadows if about events in the DLC.

Works set during the time-skip will be tagged #during timeskip.

Works set after the time-skip will be tagged #timeskip. If the work is set post-timeskip during the events of Warriors: Three Hopes, it will instead be tagged #hopes timeskip. If a work is from a specific route, it will also be tagged by that route’s name (e.g. #crimson flower, #scarlet blaze). 

Works set after the events of games will be tagged #post canon.

Works set in alternate universes (e.g. modern times, futuristic) will be tagged #alternate universe, and also tagged as its specific AU. (For example, any variation of a deceased character living on will fall under #everyone lives au.)

Works including interactions with another franchise outside of Fire Emblem will be tagged #crossover. Some crossovers may be tagged as a specific alternative universe (e.g. #pokemon au).

Characters:

Individual characters will be tagged by their more commonly used name, or the name they go by as a playable character. (So the Death Knight goes by #jeritza, and Cichol will go by #seteth.)

With the exception of Yuri from the Ashen Wolves, the main three house lords will be tagged as #house lords, but not as their house faction, as listed below.

Non-avatar playable characters will also be tagged as the class or faction they are associated with (e.g. Hubert will also be tagged #black eagles, Cyril as #church of seiros).

Minor characters, mentioned by name or not, will be tagged once as #minor characters, then again as the country/area most closely associated with them (e.g. Tiana von Reigan would be tagged as #leicester; Glenn Govan Fraldarius as #faerghus; Shahid as #non-Fodlan; unnamed students, church worshipers, merchants, mercenaries, and knights as #garreg mach). Some of these may have names or titles and will go by one as well if there are enough posts about them (e.g. #gatekeeper).

If minor characters are interacting with a leading character who is related to them, the post will be tagged #family.

Avatars Byleth and Shez will have additional tags indicating the male or female version of their characters (e.g. #female byleth, #male shez), or someone’s take on a non-binary version (#enbyleth or #enby shez).

Small Groups:

Since posts have a maximum of thirty tags, if a work includes all eight students of a house, the work will be tagged #all eagle students, #all lion students, or #all deer students, and each individual character’s name will be omitted.

Depictions of smaller friend groups interacting (e.g. Adrestian Trio, Faerghus Four) will be tagged #group photo. If poly-relationships are depicted, the work will also be tagged #ships.

Ships are tricky...

Romantic works of popular pairings will be tagged #ships and their ship name. Byleth ships where either gender is popular in the ship, especially lord ships, will also have a [m or f] and a space preceding the ship name, (e.g. #f dimileth).

Less common romantic pairings will be tagged #rairpair. If there are more than five works of the pairing (romantic or platonic), it will also be given a "ship" name. It may be promoted to #ships if there are enough arts from more than two artists.

A platonic depiction of a pairing will be tagged #duos. If the work is ambiguous whether the pairing is romantic or platonic, it will be tagged as both #duos and [#ships or #rairpair].

Uncommon depictions of any two unrelated named characters platonically together will fall under #acquaintances instead of #duos.

Popular pairings will be tagged as their "ship" name regardless of if the work depicts them platonically or romantically. (Some of my favorite ships (in no particular order) include #mercedue, #ferdithea, #felannie, #sylvgrid, #cyrithea, #hilclaude, and #hubernie.)

Qrow: If it makes you feel better, Nora and Cinder have asked to stay back with you while you rest.

Ruby: I dont want to rest! I want to go out with you guys! This is my mission too!

Qrow: And you can barely stand right now.

Cinder: *putting a hand on Ruby’s shoulder* If you rest now-

Ruby: *jerking away* You stay away from me.

Cinder: *pulling back* Right…

Ruby: *sighing and walking out* I need some fresh air…

Jaune: *watching Ruby walk off* It’s not your fault Cinder. After everything you told us, I think she’s just having a hard time with it.

Cinder: *sitting down and sighing* I know. Once you guys get back, I’m going to take a long walk.

Jaune: *nodding and walking off with Qrow and Ren* In that case, we’ll pick up a bit of supplies that we need.

I wanna know about the other heroes (besides Wars and Legend) in this au. You got any headcanons for them?

You didn't mention anyone specifically so I'm just gonna talk about some of our OCs (and mention Hyrule) >:3

Odyssey!! I haven't said a damn thing about him, so now's as good a time as any!!!! He's from the era after Wild, about 250 years after Wild's adventure(s) and... Sidon is still around??? Fish man old as hell now. Odyssey is dating both his era's Zelda (Legacy) and Ganondorf (Hope). Gods like their era started out as an original project for a dnd style Zelda game (narrative only lol I'm not making a whole game OR campaign) but yeah he adventured with Legacy and Hope the whole quest!! It took a long ass time and spanned the entire continent of Hyrule and BEYOND, hence why he's the hero of odysseys. He was my first actual loz OC lol I love him. Spunky lil bastard. Very capable, doesn't look bookish but his hyperfixation as a kid was heroing so he researched a lot and taught himself survival, swordsmanship, archery, etc. He and his partners fought Demise and beat the shit outta him.

Fae, my beloved! She's non binary, sapphic as hell, probably has a crush on her Zelda, and Cinder is her... not-legally-adopted-but-might-as-well-be brother. Fae is my baby, Cinder is Mizu's, so she'd be the authority on him but lemme tell u a little about my favorite nb lady. She's a witch! She learned a shitton about magic on her quest so she's a green witch now that lives in a cottage in the woods... well she has to take care of her big brother now so she and Cinder travel. She's from somewhere between TP and BotW because you know how great fairies are only in the cave of ordeals in TP? Yeah there was something keeping them there! She had to go into the fae realm and break the curse(??) on the fairies and magically unclog the places where fairy fountains transition from growing in the fae realm to growing in Hyrule proper. So that's why there are great fairies in BotW! Lol they all know her when the chain visits Wild's era. She's amab so she was once named Link, did the whole hero thing, didn't like it. She held herself too much to what she thought a hero was supposed to be and not what actually made her a hero. She carries a sword but prefers combat magic. Frequently feels like she's the only one with some actual goddamn sense in the chain (what a bunch of b o y s ugh). BEST friends with Hyrule. Enby solidarity.... even tho she gave Hyrule gender envy, oops. She makes her own hrt potions!! (then immediately teaches Rule how to make their own when they express interest lol)

Questions about Cinder should be thrown at @mizuriii at mach speed but I will say a lil thing. He's from Termina.... before Time's quest. Aaaand he also fought Majora. And had the FD mask (see forehead marks). He.... didn't do too well on his quest and he's not very confident in himself/his abilities. He doesn't feel like a hero even tho Fae assures him he is one. Hims a sweet baby. The other members of the chain.... intimidate him, to put it lightly....

New Series I’m Writing!

Hey everyone, while I’m still working on Chrysalis, it’s been a few days since an update and I figured I should talk about why:

I’ve got another RWBY fic I’m working on! It’s been something I’ve felt drawn to for a while now.

I’d like to tell you about the Lepidoptera AU.

In essence, it’s my own Canon-Divergence Mirror Universe. It’s Remnant, but each character’s backstory got slightly changed, and that’ll have a cascading effect for the entirety of the canon story.

I’ve got four planned fics for this world.

The first, and the one I’m working on at present, is Holding the World On Their Shoulders, which will follow Cinder Rhodes (previously Fall), May Marigold, Marrow Amin, and Winter Schnee as they attend Atlas Academy. It deals in role swap regarding each character’s stories, so if you’re one of the people that’s overheard my ranting about how much I love the Winter/May/Cinder role swap premise Tumblr’s been talking about recently, this is where I’ll be exploring that. Of course, I didn’t come up with the idea, I’m just writing my take on it.

The other fics will consist of a Canon-Divergence fic following Team RWBY through the Fall of Beacon and everything beyond, and two OC team stories for those that are interested in reading them. These OC stories won’t be necessary to understand the events of the more canon-friendly fics, the most you’ll deal with is the occasional cameo.

As for its name, Lepidoptera AU is a subtle nod to the foundation upon which this AU is built: How a few small changes will butterfly effect, and that the end result may be drastically different than the canon we know.

I know this arguably falls into rewrite territory, so I’ll specify that I adore CRWBY, and I have nothing but the utmost respect for them. This is not meant to “be better than” RWBY canon by any means. It’s just a creative fan project.

One last thing: True to my writing usually is, there’ll be a LOT of trans rep across these fics. So, if you wanna see stuff revolving around May Marigold, who is canonically trans, Weiss, Mercury, Emerald, and several other canon characters that will be portrayed as trans in Lepidoptera, and/or Hunter, April, Rusty, and several trans original characters that will be in the OC fics, feel free to check them out as they appear! I will give a heads up that a slight majority of my trans rep will probably be transfemme rep, since I know the most about writing transfemme characters, but there will be transmasc and enby characters present.

Cinder, gingerly entering the darkened room: Uhh... *looks at the letter she’d found in her pocket* Do I have the right place?

Ruby: Indeed. You have found your way well, sibling. Please, step closer, introduce yourself to the others.

Cinder: Others?

Other hooded figures, chanting: Welcome, new sibling.

Cinder: I’m about to shit myself-

Ruby: Do not be alarmed. Step forward, state your name.

Cinder, doing as she says, uncertainly: Uhh, Cinder...

Ruby: “Uhh Cinder.” Is that your full name?

Cinder: What, no! It’s just Cinder.

Ruby: Very well, Cinder. State your pronouns.

Cinder, gesturing blankly: I don’t care? She and her work?

Ruby: Very good. In honor of your recent discovery of your trans-ness, we invite you to join the Siblinghood of Trans-ness. We are a secret society of trans people working in the shadows, plotting the very future of our world.

Cinder: *blink blink* ...Bitchin’.

Ruby: Do you accept this offer of membership?

Cinder: Yeah, sounds cool.

Ruby, flipping her hood off: Awesome! New memberrrrr! Woo!

The other hooded figures throw off their hoods.

Sun: Hell yeah!

Blake, chuckling: She was so onboard with the secret society thing.

Ren, slowly taking off his hood: Almost concerning...

Penny: Welcome to the club, Cinder!

Cinder: Club? I thought this was a secret society thing? Hey Neo.

Neo: *waves* ^_^

Ruby: Nah, we just eat pizza and play RPGs on the weekends. But “Siblinghood of Trans-ness” is a pretty secret-y society-y name, huh?

Cinder: Oh. Wait. Penny, you’re trans?

Penny: *nods* Of course.

Cinder: How can a robot be trans?

Penny: Well, you see, when I was made, I was not assigned a gender. I was just an artificial consciousness. Through the process of familiarizing myself with the cultures of the world, I also became familiar with gender culture, and I realized I’m a girl! Hence why my father designed my body to look feminine!

Cinder: Ohh, so...you don’t have an assigned gender, so...it would be impossible for you to be cis, so...

Penny: Precisely!

Ruby: I could listen to you infodump all day...

Penny: Ditto!

Ren, walking up to Cinder: Your badge. *offers her an enamel pin with the enby flag and her name on it*

Cinder: A badge? For real?

Ren: We all have one. *points to his demiboy flag pin* Jaune makes them for us.

Cinder, studying her pin: Wow. I love it. Thank you.

Sun, chuckling: Thank Jaune! Though he couldn’t make it tonight, something about *air quotes* “Going out with Pyrrha.” I don’t believe that for a second.

Neptune, barging in with an armful of pizza boxes: I’m here! I’m here! Did I... *notices Cinder* Dang it, I missed the initiation.

Ruby: No you haven’t!

Cinder: Wait...initiation?

Ruby, nodding: Yep! There’s a certain right of passage you are required to complete before you’re a true member.

Cinder: And what is that?

Ruby, handing her an egg: Egg a professor’s office. Your choice on whose.

Cinder, taking the egg: Ohhhh, okay, yeah, I get it. *blinks* Wait, aren’t they starting to crack down on pranks and stuff?

Blake: Literally when has that ever stopped you?

Cinder: Very true. Okay, I’m going to find Ozpin’s office, then I’ll be back for that pizza.

Ruby: Woohoo!

Blake: Wait, Ozpin’s office? All the way at the top of the tower?

Cinder, waving her hand as she leaves: Don’t worry about it, I know a secret way in.

Ruby: Wait, Cinder, you don’t have to go in, you just gotta egg the door—

Cinder: *shuts the door behind her*

Ruby: Oh.

Neptune, hands on his hips: I’ve got a good feeling about her.

Ruby: *wiping the tears out of her eyes* I said I dont want you near me!

Cinder: *hesitating for a moment* Are… you crying?

Ruby: *taking a deep breath to try to calm herself* ...why do you care? Havent you tried hurting us enough?

Cinder: *sitting down and sighing* I… I know nothing I can do will show you how much I regret what happened. I tried to stop everything.

Ruby: *turning to glare at Cinder, eyes red from her crying* You hurt my teammates! You hurt my friends! And for what? To help Salem?!

Cinder: I… I tried to stop everything that happened. I desperately wanted to try to stop it. Salem… isnt exactly someone you can defy and… I was in a pretty bad place when she found me. I was fourteen years old and on the run. I… when I was younger, I was bought by a woman to basically be her slave at a hotel. One day… I broke. I couldnt take the punishment anymore, and I killed her and her daughters. At the time, I thought it was the only way I could be free. Then my mentor tried to arrest me. He no longer saw a scared little girl, but someone who had broken the law. I ended up killing him too and I ran. I was on my own for two years before Salem found me and took me in. At first, I thought it was the only way I could be free. And then, after a few years, I realized she just wanted to use me.

Ruby: *looking away from Cinder for a moment* I… I didnt know…

Cinder: I didnt expect you to. I’ve slowly started defying her, first by refusing to take the maiden powers, then by being myself. And now, I’ve run away and put an even larger target on my back. I regret every choice I’ve made and I want to try to make things right.

Ruby: And… if you cant?

Cinder: Then I’ll keep trying. And to start, I’m finally going to stay true to myself. I have wanted to be a huntress for years, and now, I’m going to start acting like one.

Ruby: *sighing and heading back inside* Then we should start working on it.

Cinder: I… realized I was wrong. I met people who actually cared about me.

Mercury: Cared about you. Right. That’s why they immediately attacked you.

Cinder: *sighing and bandaging up Emerald’s arm stump* You saw what happened. I was wrong to say that this was going to be the best course of action. I was wrong to say that Salem was right. We let hundreds of people get hurt.

Mercury: You. You let hundreds of people get hurt. This was your plan after all.

Cinder: *wincing* Right…

Mercury: *walking off* Oh, and Salem knows how you feel. So as of today, Emerald and I are part of her inner circle. Seems like you need to start looking out for yourself.

Emerald: *glaring at Cinder* Leave? After dragging me and Mercury to this, talking the White Fang into helping us, attacking Beacon… No, we’re not leaving now. You’re right, this… power that Salem had promised… it feels great. 

Cinder: I’m having… second thoughts about all of this. After meeting Blake and her team… maybe… maybe this was all wrong. There has to be another way-

Emerald: “There is no other way.” Werent those your exact words to me after you took me off the streets? “Power is the only way you’ll get what you want?” That you’d no longer let the elites starve you? What happened to that Cinder? The one who had promises of power? The one who said that everything would get better once Salem remakes the world into a new order? Or was all of that a lie? 

Cinder: *holding herself nervously* I… did say those things…

Emerald: *putting her grimm hand on Cinder’s shoulder* Then trust in Salem like you did before. After everything that happened, I dont think Blake or her friends will want you back.
