More about Demario:

Demario is Luisa’s oldest son and oldest child. His gift allows him to be very in-tune to other people’s emotions, whether they are showing them or not. His hyper empathy gives him the ability to truly feel the depth of emotions that someone else is feeling.

It can be emotionally exhausting to feel what everyone is feeling all the time, but Luisa makes sure he’s not put in any situations that put too many burdens on him.

It can be easy for Demario to forget how HE feels about something, as he far too often bounces off the feelings of everyone around him. A big part of his character development is to learn to have his own emotional compass, despite being highly affected by others.

I was very inspired by Steven Universe with this character, as he has that same need to help others and empathize with them in any way he can. He’s extremely kind and thoughtful, always ready to help his family.

When Pepa dated Chepe, the family dinners were very awkward for Bruno especially when he had to sit next to his bully. What a way to torment him than to be charismatic and have your mother and sister like your bully. And in such a Chepe fashion way, he would flirt with Pepa underneath the table while Alma said her grace.

Alma would scold Bruno to stop mad dogging at their guest.

Becoming Madrigal

Ramiro was adopted at eight years old, and was given a normal room. However, when he saw Elena and Bruno as his parents and spoke the words, he became a true Madrigal.

Casita immediately had a rapport with Ramiro, the child enchanted by a magical house that helped him navigate the world. However, when given a chance Casita bestowed a power that made them able to communicate emotionally/telepathically with Ramiro. Ramiro can also feel the emotional history of objects.

Elena and Bruno are great parents, even though they sometimes forget they have to be more descriptive with their blind child.
