I haven't gotten that far into the game yet but I really like SAGE a lot so far. Also she reminds me of the little robot from Unleashed, mostly because of appearance.

🌻🌹🌸🌹🌺🌹🌷🌹🌺🌹🌸🌹🌻
thank you my beloved em!!! another wippet from the second chapter of the ending where you finally find your way home:
“You passed out,” Sam said before Dani had a chance to offer another wildly implausible lie. “We’re taking you home so you can rest.” “Uh, correction,” said Jamie. “You were taking me home. Now I’m awake and I ain’t going nowhere with you.” He had moved past the fact of his passing out with remarkable speed. Sam filed that away for later and crossed his arms, attempting to project an image of authority. It was easier than he’d expected, considering Jamie was currently about ten years younger than him and donning a fairly ridiculous haircut, but it didn’t feel right. It fit wrong across the shoulders, like a coat he hadn’t grown into. “We were taking you home and we still are,” he said. “You live with us. You—it’s your home.” Jamie blinked. “I what.” “You live with us,” Dani repeated. He rocked onto the balls of his feet. “Or, your—your older self, he lives with us. Which means you do, too. By logic.” “By logic,” echoed Jamie, unimpressed. “We won’t force you to do anything,” Sam interjected. “I promise, Jamie, we won’t. But we would very much like it if you did come home with us.” There must have been an undercurrent of honesty to his tone, a tender genuinity, because Jamie went still and his expression—fractured, almost, a fragile breaking that split the shell over his face and revealed to Sam its soft interior. His stomach cramped. Here was his friend. Here was the ghost. And the ghost opened its mouth and said, “I s’pose I can do that.”

Wolfstar Microfic: Regret
Remus groaned. His head was hazy and he could barely think over it.
They’d stayed up very late, and now had to get up at 5:00 in the morning for a prank.
Why had he let them talk him into this?
He could hear James’ voice somewhere on the other side of the curtain telling them all to get up.
“So much regret,” he muttered, slamming his face into the pillow without opening his eyes.
“Regret?” a voice asked, close to his face. A voice that sounded almost nervous.
Sirius.
All of a sudden all of his memories of last night came back in one moment.
Sirius, sitting on his bed beckoning Remus over. Sirius, holding his hands and asking if he can kiss him. Sirius, touching him gently, reverently, caressing him as they kissed. Sirius, curling up against him to get cozy, and seeming more at peace than Remus had ever seen him. Remus, kissing the top of Sirius head as he was falling asleep, just because he could.
Remus opened his eyes, suddenly alert.
“Not that,” he said immediately, meeting Sirius' gaze. “I do not regret that at all.”
Sirius smiled, but it was hesitant and didn’t reach his eyes.
“So what is it that you regret?”
“The waking up part,” Remus said.
Sirius grinned. He didn’t seem cocky about it - not yet, anyway - but the nerves seemed to have faded.
“Oh, Moony, never change.”

Happy (belated) birthday to Orbot and Cubot!! Plus an Ergo and Tribot because I can. (This was meant to be posted yesterday but things got FAR too busy.)
I'll use this as a chance to announce that on Saturday, November 18th, aka Ergo's birthday, the next Ask Cueball post will be released!! I want to thank everyone for their patience and support, and I hope you all enjoy what's coming next!
If you're wondering why the Orbot and Cubot arts are so much newer than the Tribot and Ergo ones...it's because the original Orbot and Cubots from this doodle page were much less happy:

And I figured these probably weren't ideal for a post celebrating their birthday. (These aren't spoilers for the next arc to be clear, they're depictions of the first arc's struggles.)

How do you think Andalites in human morph deal with the human instinct to pet fluffy creatures that may or may not kill them?
I assume it'd depend on the area. In the U.S. and Europe we've killed off 99.9% of the critters who wouldn't run away and would kill a human who runs at them yelling "fluffy!!!!!" So like, I'm guessing the worst would be minor injuries or rabies from a raccoon or deer who feels cornered by this human. Anything fuzzy and venomous (tarantula, some bats, etc.) couldn't do more than cause moderate pain for a bitten human.
The issue with threatening a bear or buffalo enough that one kills you is that that doesn't happen incidentally. The human has to go into the other critter's territory, and most of the time has to repeatedly walk at the critter while ignoring threat displays in order to get killed. It's entirely possible andalites have no idea what Earth threat displays look like (considering most involve "make loud noise" and andalites don't make noise) and so might interpret a roar or growl as a form of greeting. If the morpher specifically targets the smallest and cutest critters (the babies) for attempted pets, then that'd end in death. It'd just take a lot of doing to get from an urban spaceport to a bear encounter.
If andalites can't interpret threat displays, then I'll vote for domestic dogs as posing the greatest danger. Dogs kill more humans each year than any animal except humans, largely because the two species are so interdependent. Dogs and humans are excellent at reading each other's body language, because we're both pack animals with an affinity for non-species friends, and because we've had tons of exposure to one another. So if a human who acts wrong in a way that tips off the dog's NOPE radar (walking as if used to four legs, looking around as if used to four eyes, etc.) comes at a dog and is unaware that the loud vocalizations and bared teeth mean "heck off"... yeah, that could end in tragedy.

I just read the post a week ago about Jolly, and I'm sorry but I just don't understand. Joll is not a real name, it's a username/nickname. I thought deadnaming only applied to real-life names, not aliases or internet usernames that people can change on a whim. You can call me transphobic for thinking so, of course - but I just feel like this particular issue with Jolly was a little overdramatic. As a person who has spent their entire life on the internet, it just seems...dumb.
Someone named their baby John Karkat. John Karkat is that child's legal name. There is also a child who was named 'Orgasm'.
A name can be anything, you and your standards of what a name has to be are just stupid.
