So when I indulged in fictional crushes as a youngling, as you do, I found many of my crushes were in some way or form animated, 2d and 3d alike. So I decided to challenge myself with this trend in live action characters. After all, having a crush on a fictional character in live action would depend heavily if you are also attracted to that actor. I mean, it'd be pretty hard to crush on a fictional character (unless you really adored the character) if you weren't into the actor at least a little bit. Same goes in reverse obviously, you can adore an actor's voice or a character they betray but be completely uninterested in their design when taken from a different media. Me an actual Polish person: If you are going to make Magneto make babies in Poland, Sony, at least you could follow the fucking rules of surname making, because “Gurzsky” is NOT a properly spelled surname in Polish. The proper spelling would be “Górski” and in relation to Nina, because she is a woman, the surname would be changed into “Górska” to follow the polish grammatical rules.

BTW if you are interested “góra” means “mountain” and “górski” is an adjective to describe something being of the mountain (modern) [like for example “droga górska” = mountainous road / mountain’s road], being very high (old polish) or someone who is from the mountains (old polish). As the surname it could literally be translated as “someone from the mountains” but someone who has that surname doesn’t necessarily have to live in the mountains as it’s just a very popular polish surname that literally anybody could have.

Also, fun fact, Nina is not technically properly polish name either, BUT it could be in a shortened form if Nina’s actual name was “Janina” or “Antonina”. Janina is a name that I usually associate with older women, because this is one of the polish names that just sounds old (other offenders are Barbara and Halina). The second one (Antonina) is funny because this is literally feminine version of Antoni (Anthony) so technically Nina could be also called Tony / Toni :D

[If you doubted my ability to insert Tony Stark into every post, then now you have a proof that I can and most probably will, lol.]

So her name would be Janina Górska, in short “Nina”.

Other short versions of the name “Janina” are:

1962 X-Men: First Class

X-Men!

A few changes for the ISC MCU version.

Moira and Hank work for S.H.I.E.L.D., not CIA. While they have been aware of powered people and mermen etc (and the dialogue should change to reflect this), they were not aware of a new type of human.

Alex Summers (Havok) is actually 15 pretending to be 18 so he can be tried and incarcerated as an adult as he thinks this is safer for everyone. Before his arrest Alex was living with his young divorcee mom (36), who went back to her maiden name, Summers. Dad disappeared.

The mutant gene can be carried or passed by either parent btw.

Angel could wear a halter neck as she does later on so she doesn't need to go topless to show them her power.

Darwin is a scientist/engineer instead of a taxi driver. And he DOESN'T DIE! He can't die, he just adapts, that's his whole thing. He eventually adapts to Havok's energy blast and survives, but is severely injured. We see his body's miraculous recovery during the training montage. OR…he just shoots Shaw back and Shaw's like…'Well, we could do this all day. Toodles.'

Moira helps the first class with fight training (except Charles, he is "not a fighter").

Must find a way to get Darwin and Angel Salvatore more involved with the plot. Give Angel some proper motivation for switching sides and some dialogue afterwards.

Recast Emma with Margot Robbie and give her more attitude and agency.

Eric does not kiss Raven as he just said she is too young for him and noted that she is just trying to get back at Hank for something. He still says that her natural form is nothing to be ashamed of, but they do not have a romantic relationship. Moira is revealed early on as a mutant and has a vast wealth of knowledge from several lifetimes. She knew she had been reincarnated but didn't know it was due to a mutation. She agrees to not go back to X-mansion so as not to give game away. And that means you can cut the '...a kiss...' line. She will be pleasantly surprised to see Charles in Apocalypse instead of mind wiped. It's best you forget about me er, us etc. adds Charles but without the mind wipe.
