Pruning the Branches

Chapter 2 is up on AO3!

The tension was cut, slightly, once all of the siblings they had left were rounded up in Misery‘s Lair and they no longer had to worry about losing anyone else. 

Dokkaibi and Flynn had checked on everyone, well, gotten visual on everyone at least, so they were able to figure out who all had been lost without having to ask. They didn’t want to open any more wounds than they had to. Not when they were still so freshly cut.

It was a devastating realization. Flynn had assumed they’d mostly been younger, less experienced siblings. And some had—but at least two of them were older. One of the lost, Distro-giest, had even been Enlightened. 

Whoever it was that was hunting them down must have been powerful . Flynn hadn’t thought anyone short of the Ancients could hurt someone like him.

busting my ass preparing for a new campaign with 6 (!!) players, here are mediocre drawings of the frequent npcs theyre gonna see (horrid quality probably but i dont know how to fix such issues sob)

The NUSA has a one million eurodollar bounty on So Mi's head. When she found out that it was merely one million eddies, her only response was that she was 'disappointed.' More chilling, Myers has set instructions that So Mi is to be captured alive, preferably. If she is too dangerous to capture alive, she has instructed that So Mi's head is 'undamaged.'

The NUSA believes that V is dead. The FIA hears rumours that V is alive, but they are unsubstantiated. Combined with the fact that someone (read: Dorian Bautista and the Wolverines) burned the identities the cover of almost every NUSA agent in Night City, it is unlikely that Myers will learn that V's back.

Every now and then, Vega and So Mi have to eliminate either an opportunistic bounty hunter, take out an FIA assassin, or face a black ops kill team. Every time they do this, they take the data from the body and add it to Dorian Bautista's pet project, Tisiphone.

Eventually, this AI will learn enough about the NUSA's operations in Night City, and burn the entire network to the ground, using the power of its companion weapon system, Alecto. Alecto's 'human factor' requires the last of its sisters, a piece of advanced Militech cyberware codenamed Megaera. Unfortunately, Arasaka currently possesses it, and the Wolverines will soon have to retrieve this artefact to complete the trinity, and to save their 'human factor.'

Flynn’s first garden was a mess. It was pretty much impossible to keep anything alive in the barren soil. Plants native to the ghost zone refused to sprout, much less the plants and seeds he’d stolen from the Greenhouse or the Garden Web— garden-like traps for newly dead ghosts that were, at this point, Flynn‘s main supply of mortal vegetation. 

The wonderful thing about it though, was every time he failed, every half grown plant that withered and died did something to the soil to make the next batch get just that much further along. Until eventually he was growing a full garden of vegetables and fruits that he could actually eat and sustain himself with. 

A human, living in the Infinite Realms. Making a home there. The thought was so ludicrous on its own, but Flynn had managed.

Bio:

Hades,the fourth child and eldest son of cronus and rhea,was trapped inside his father's body alongside his elder sisters and poseidon,his younger brother. Zeus,his youngest sibling,was able to rescue them,and together,they defeated titans and imprisoned them in tartarus with exception of few titans who helped them.

Hades told zeus and poseidon that since zeus had saved them and defeated their father,he's the most worthy to become god of sky. Hades chose to rule over underworld,and bid farewell to his beloved siblings.

As he entered Tartarus,Nyx sent his son,Thanatos, to Hades so they could become friends. Shortly afterwards,Nyx,who had broke up with Erebus,fell in love with Hades,and was crowned as Queen of the Underworld. Nyx gave birth to three beautiful girls. Everyone,including Erebus and Gaia,were terrified of the couple's affair,afraid that their children would grow up to become more powerful than themselves. Surrounded by primordial gods, Hades was able to defeat some of them but was overwhelmed by their combined forces,then Nyx came to his aid and together,they took down all of them,without killing them. Seeing the affair might lead to death of thousand of people,they parted ways. According to Hypnos,Nyx never loved anyone more than Hades,including her own children.

A few thousand years later,Hades found herself in love with Leuce,the most beautiful of nymphs at the time. They spend over five hundred centuries together before leuce died in hades' arms. Hades turned her into a beautiful plant in elysium garden and once again,he was overwhelmed by grief.

It took a long time until he fell in love with a woman named persephone,his niece. Persephone asked Hades let her come to tartarus with him, which he accepted. Demeter was devastated after her daughter left and winter came to the infinite universe,killing countless living beings in proccess. Hades asked Persephone to go see her mother,but before that she asked him if they can do anything so they can spend alot of time together,Hades gave her three pomegrante seeds to eat. This way,zeus would be forced to have persephone stay with hades for three monthes.

Shortly afterwards,zeus send hecatonchires to hold hades down for a while,but hades broke in a few minutes and when he returned,he saw what he was afraid to see. Persephone was raped by Zeus. Going to mount olympus,,hades tore zeus apart and transported one half to top of tartarus and the other to deepest pit of tartarus,killing his younger sibling temporarily. Dethroning zeus, hades becomes new king of gods.

Unfortunately,the rape of persephone affected his daughter melinoe before even being born,who grown up and suffered from bipolar disorder. Despite the fact that melinoe could be cruel sometimes,hades still loves her no less than macaria,his youngest daughter.

Guys I don't think Kaylee's alright, she keeps talking like she's possessed and occasionally tech she touches gets fried to a cinder. I'm starting to think being hunted by Militech, Arasaka, NetWatch and the FIA (who are also fighting each other to get her) is starting to take its toll.
