oh my god watching mumbos ep rn i REALLY hope they actually get a log-workers union against doc bc that would be SO FUNNYYY. i want to see all the other wood permit owners that doc split profits with get together to do union negotiations. doc thinks he can just replace the whole money system with sand if he just only uses sand. I'm sure it's very evident that I have not made comics before but please be gentle, I am but a noob 😔✊️

I hope I was able to make the TNT thing clear enough haha but if not, its a trap in which the TNT minecarts are supported by a door, and they'll fall and explode when the door is opened. If the door opens to the side that the minecarts are supported on though, they'll stay balanced on the door and nothing happens. I think Jimmy would make this mistake lol. Took me 4 tries to get the trap to work myself when I tested it even as I followed Cub's tutorial. And then it also needs a block behind the powered rails which I could not figure out for the love of me

Is this Doc's base that Jimmy's trapping? Uhh probably not but who knows. I dont think Doc would even build a base with a normal door entrance is the thing lol (not when hes a big goat man and doesnt even fit through a normal door without hunching over (hence him being all hunched at the door)). Idk if Jimmy would dare to trap Doc's stuff regardless (probably not). Doc just happened to be here wahoo plot convenience

Anyhow that's Last Life yayy. Double Life next and you know there'll be ranchers but that'll be the last nice one too. LimL and SL are just gonna be angst because I love to hurt myself like that. Just you wait

i saw a tiktok about how men usually get their first flowers at their funerals and… it made me think…

imagine its race day, lightnings on the track, sallys in the pits, and she just. randomly gets the idea to get him flowers. its sudden, an abrupt urge to just go get them Right Then, so she tells the crew she’ll be right back and slips out of the pit and infield, and finds the nearest flower shop.

lightning likes flowers because she does, he’ll listen to any of her botany rambles any day, even if they dont make much sense - but hes gotten her flowers hundreds of times and shes never returned the favour. she picks the ones with the most meaning, the ones that mean i love you in every way no matter what, the ones that remind her of him. when shes successfully created a bouquet of flowers that is him in any way you can think, she buys a card. and she writes him a love letter. she names every flower she put in the bouquet and what they mean. and she tells him how much she loves and adores him, and how she’ll always love him more than anything. she adds a couple cheesy compliments in there too, seals it up, and makes it back to the track just in time to watch him take the checkered flag; he wins the race.

they meet in victory lane, and she hands him the flowers first (keeping the note safely in her bag until she can give it to him when its quieter) and. just imagine him standing on top of his car, hands thrown in up in the air in celebration, with the flowers clutched in one hand and the bottle of champagne in the other and and. god i love them

she gives him the card later that night when everythings quieted down — docs outside the motorhome drinking a beer with strip, and the crew is working on the car and getting the garage cleaned up — so its just them. with the flowers safely in a cup on the kitchen counter, she pulls it out of her bag, hands it to him, and gently prods for him to read it then.

hes not the emotional type, its been drilled into his head by a couple different people that hes not really supposed to cry, but its a great improvement when he tears up a little bit while reading it. she cant help but smile because god. isnt she lucky?

when he finishes reading it, he wipes his eyes with the back of his hands and ushers for her to come closer and they end up cuddling on the couch (doc finds them about an hour later, curled up together, sound asleep. he throws a blanket over them and leaves them be)

Sometimes I forget that there are casual Back to the Future fans. People who just watch it to have a fun time and who don't care about or notice the depth the films have. Like. I forget that Tumblr BTTF fans are a whole different breed.

I occasionally find BTTF posts on other social medias (mainly reddit) that leave me scratching my head. Saw a comment where someone made note of Marty being "just some kid Doc probably hired that week to be his cameraman at the mall." Another one where a person answered a question with something along the lines of, "Doc likely only knows Marty because he needed someone to test out the giant amp."

Just. So many people confused as to why Doc and Marty seem to care so much about each other when they've probably only known each other a short while, and isn't Marty just some random assistant??

There are really people watching these movies who think there is no history between Doc and Marty. They think they're practically strangers in the Twin Pines Mall scene and only grow to be friends over the week in 1955. There are people who look at the lengths Marty goes to to save Doc and ask, "But why does he care so much about some crazy old scientist??"

THEY THINK THIS IS THE BEHAVIOR OF A KID WHO WAS JUST HIRED TO BE A CAMERAMAN DAYS PRIOR.

And Buck knows all that, because he knows Eddie so well, and Eddie- Eddie just loves him so much sometimes it gets overwhelming, just the sheer amount of love he has for this man, who’s currently looking at him with those gorgeous, understanding eyes. And he can’t do anything else but lean in and kiss his pretty pink lips.

“I know.” he whispers, smiling, blinking away tears. “I love you.”

“I love you, too.” Buck chuckles quietly. Then Eddie looks at Christopher again.

“It’s just hard sometimes, especially during the holidays. She should be here. With Chris.”

“She really should.” Buck wraps one hand around Eddie’s shoulders.

“I think she’d like you.” Eddie muses, leaning his head against Buck’s. “You guys would get along.” He really thinks so, and he also thinks that even if the accident didn’t happen and she didn’t die, he’d eventually give her the divorce she asked for, and inevitably date Buck anyway – he doesn’t think there’s any universe, any scenario, any path he’d take, where he and Buck don’t end up falling in love. If he believed in it, he’d say it’s fate or destiny or some shit like that. (Maybe he does believe, just in this one instance, but no one has to know).
