Guess who is finally feeling good enough to go visit Jesus? I came to the church and chatted with my new friend about God and our lives. Her bus picked her up. I stopped at the gift shop for the book she recommended. Now I’m praying for you today. Here I am Lord.

I go to Adoration at a chapel in the Carmelite convent by my house, and the smell in there is the best smell in the entire world. I'm trying to figure out if it would be weird to email the sisters and ask what specific incense they use so my house could smell like that too?

Prayer Before the Eucharist
I adore You, Lord and Creator, hidden in the Most Blessed Sacrament. I adore You for all the works of Your hands, that reveal to me so much wisdom, goodness, and mercy, O Lord. You have spread so much beauty over the earth and it tells me about Your beauty, even though these beautiful things are but a faint reflection of You, incomprehensible Beauty. And although You have hidden Yourself and concealed Your beauty, my eye, enlightened by faith, reaches You and my soul recognizes its Creator, its Highest Good, and my heart is completely immersed in prayer of adoration.
Our Lady of Guadalupe, Pray for Us.
Amen.

Power of Adoration
YOUR HOLY HOUR WILL SAVE MANY SOULS
(2-min read)
𝘼 𝙃𝙤𝙡𝙮 𝙃𝙤𝙪𝙧 𝙤𝙛 𝙥𝙧𝙖𝙮𝙚𝙧 𝙗𝙚𝙛𝙤𝙧𝙚 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝘽𝙡𝙚𝙨𝙨𝙚𝙙 𝙎𝙖𝙘𝙧𝙖𝙢𝙚𝙣𝙩 𝙞𝙨 𝙨𝙤 𝙞𝙢𝙥𝙤𝙧𝙩𝙖𝙣𝙩 𝙩𝙤 𝙅𝙚𝙨𝙪𝙨 𝙩𝙝𝙖𝙩 𝙖 𝙢𝙪𝙡𝙩𝙞𝙩𝙪𝙙𝙚 𝙤𝙛 𝙨𝙤𝙪𝙡𝙨 𝙜𝙤 𝙩𝙤 𝙃𝙚𝙖𝙫𝙚𝙣 𝙬𝙝𝙤 𝙤𝙩𝙝𝙚𝙧𝙬𝙞𝙨𝙚 𝙬𝙤𝙪𝙡𝙙 𝙝𝙖𝙫𝙚 𝙜𝙤𝙣𝙚 𝙩𝙤 𝙝𝙚𝙡𝙡. (𝙅𝙚𝙨𝙪𝙨' 𝙧𝙚𝙫𝙚𝙡𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣 𝙩𝙤 𝘽𝙡𝙚𝙨𝙨𝙚𝙙 𝘿𝙞𝙣𝙖 𝘽𝙚𝙡𝙖𝙣𝙜𝙚𝙧)
“Every morning, at my thanksgiving, the gentle Savior determined for me a number of souls to win for him during the day. Now, the number is no longer fixed: I ask him for them all; I would like to plunge them, without exception, into his precious Blood, I would like, by the application of his merits, to close hell forever. His mercy is infinite. Our Redeemer is eager to forgive and forget. HE OFTEN WAITS ONLY FOR A GESTURE OR A THOUGHT OF LOVE ON OUR PART TO GRANT TO SUCH AND SUCH A SINNER THE EXTRAORDINARY GRACE THAT WILL SNATCH HIM FROM THE HANDS OF SATAN.”
Our Lord said to Blessed Dina Belanger: “My Heart overflows with graces for souls. Bring them to my Eucharistic Heart.” One day, while praying before the Blessed Sacrament, Our Lord showed Blessed Dina Belanger, the power of Adoration before the Eucharist. A little before her hour of Adoration before the Blessed Sacrament, Jesus showed her a multitude of souls on a precipice at the edge of Hell. An hour later, after his Adoration, Our Lord showed him these same souls, but this time in the hands of God. Then, Christ revealed to her that his Hour of Adoration had allowed this multitude of souls to be saved.
Blessed Dina Belanger tells us: “If souls understood the treasure they possess in the Divine Eucharist… the churches would be overflowing with adorers consumed with love for the Divine prisoner no less at night than by day.”

SAINT OF THE DAY (August 2)
Tumblr media
St. Peter Julian Eymard, whose feast the Church celebrates on August 2, helped many Catholics - both clergy and laypeople - to rediscover the importance of the Eucharist.
He is also considered a pioneer in involving laypeople more actively in the life of the Church.
Peter Julian Eymard was born on 4 February 1811 near Grenoble, France.
He had wanted to enter the priesthood as a youth, but his father forbade him because he wanted Peter Julian to take over the family business.
Finally, at the age of 18, he was permitted to join the Oblate novitiate, but he became very ill. He was so ill that he was sent back home to die.
However, Peter Julian made a remarkable recovery and entered the seminary once again after his father passed away.
He was ordained to the diocesan priesthood in 1834 but later joined the Marists.
In 1851, he answered a call to establish a community of men dedicated to Eucharistic Adoration called the Congregation of the Blessed Sacrament.
Its mission was to promote the importance and significance of the Eucharist.
The congregation also worked with the poor and helped them to prepare for first Communion.
The founder died on 1 August 1868.
Eymard was beatified by Pope Pius XI on 12 July 1925. He was canonized by Pope John XXIII on 9 December 1962.

Praise be Jesus Christ!
I just wanted to share a story about the power of prayer and adoration.
This was around my senior year of high school and I did not have a true relationship with God yet, but the Lord was slowly starting to open my eyes.
During class at around 10 or 11 am, my school had an adoration chapel and my teacher said that whoever wants to go to adoration can go, so I decided to go for a little bit.
That day, for some reason, I really did not want to be at school. I wasn’t sick or anything, I just did not want to be there. I went inside the chapel, sat down in front of the Lord and of all the things I could have said to Him I asked, “Please let me go home Lord, I really don’t want to be here.” I just kept repeating that in my head as I looked upon Him.
I sat there for a few more minutes and then I went back to my classroom. As soon as I walked in, the lights went out. My classmates stood there wondering what was going on and that’s when the principal announced that there’s been a power outage and we need to gather inside the gym. The whole school sat there for a couple of minutes until the principal decided that we can go home because the power would not turn back on until an hour or so. When at least half of the students had left or are in the process of leaving, the power turns back on. There was no way we could resume school for the day since most had already left.
At the time I did not realize that God had answered my prayer as silly as it was, but now I look back at this memory with gratefulness and great humor because God really turned off the power for us to go home just because I told Him that I did not want to be at school that day.

You don’t have to be Catholic to go to Eucharistic Adoration. You can come to it and be with Jesus face to face.

Catholic Men and the Eucharist
Tumblr media
By Frank J Casella
Back in the days not too long ago, when I roamed as a Catholic photojournalist, my lens captured more than just images. It captured the curious behaviors of the faithful as they approached the altar to receive the holy Eucharist. Some were fervent and eager, while others seemed disinterested. It sparked a thought in my mind - if instead of the bread and wine, they were handed a crisp hundred-dollar bill, would their enthusiasm be greater?
But now, a new invitation has been extended to all American Catholics - a National Eucharistic Revival. A much-needed call to reignite our understanding and reverence for the sacred Host. And as Catholic men, bearing the banner of CMCS, we must answer this summons with zeal.
For truly, the Eucharist is the very essence of our faith, the pinnacle of our worship. It is the source of our strength and the summit of our devotion. Let us lead the charge in responding to this call, and in doing so, bring a renewed fervor to the hearts of all Catholics.
Unleash the transformative power of the Eucharist, for it is the wellspring from which the Christian life flows. From the depths of our souls, it nourishes and empowers us to conquer all obstacles. This dynamic force pulsates throughout every aspect of our being, infusing us with unwavering determination to fulfill our calling.
Dive into this boundless source and let it guide your actions, as this unique flyer by the Knights of Columbus reveals tangible ways to heed its beckoning. Reflect on these opportunities with a devout heart, and together with your loved ones, embark on this transformative pilgrimage.
