How to pray for unbelievers
Brothers, my heart’s desire and prayer to God for them is that they may be saved. (Romans 10:1)
Paul prays that God would convert Israel. He prays for her salvation! He does not pray for ineffectual influences, but for effectual influences. And that is how we should pray too.
We should take the new covenant promises of God and plead with God to bring them to pass in our children and our neighbors and on all the mission fields of the world.
God, take out of their flesh the heart of stone and give them a new heart of flesh. (Ezekiel 11:19)
Circumcise their heart so that they love you! (Deuteronomy 30:6)
Father, put your Spirit within them and cause them to walk in your statutes. (Ezekiel 36:27)
Grant them repentance and a knowledge of the truth that they may escape from the snare of the devil. (2 Timothy 2:25–26)
Open their hearts so that they believe the gospel! (Acts 16:14)
When we believe in the sovereignty of God — in the right and power of God to elect and then bring hardened sinners to faith and salvation — then we will be able to pray with no inconsistency, and with the confidence of great biblical promises for the conversion of the lost.
Thus, God has pleasure in this kind of praying because it ascribes to him the right and honor to be the free and sovereign God that he is in election and salvation.

Happy Day of Thankfulness! here’s some mock tattoo/sticker ideas i’ve had sitting around (cause i wanted to do more) and a sketchpage ^-^
1) John 4:13-14 “Jesus replied, ‘Anyone who drinks this water will soon become thirsty again. But those that drink the water I give will never be thirsty again. It becomes a fresh bubbling spring within them, giving them eternal life.’ “ (inspired by the Chosen opening)
2) Ezekiel 36:26-27 “And I will give you a new heart, and I will put a new spirit in you. I will take out your stony, stubborn heart and give you a tender, responsive heart. And I will put my Spirit in you so that you will follow my decrees and be careful to obey my regulations.”
3) Revelation 19:11-13 “Then I saw heaven opened, and a white horse was standing there. It’s rider was named Faithful and True, for he judges fairly and wages a righteous war. His eyes were like flames of fire, and on his head were many crowns. A name was written on him that no one understood except himself. He wore a robe dipped in blood, and his title was the Word of God.”
4) Romans 8:20-21 “Against its will, all creation was subjected to God’s curse. But with eager hope, the creation looks forward to the day when it will join God’s children in glorious freedom from death and decay.” (i was thinking about how even though space seems so vast and infinite, the Spiritual realm of God is infinitely more real and tangible. it will make our world look like a little story book illustration.)

"The day of Pentecost came. The believers all gathered in one place. Suddenly a sound came from heaven. It was like a strong wind blowing. It filled the whole house where they were sitting. They saw something that looked like tongues of fire. The flames separated and settled on each of them. All of them were filled with the Holy Spirit." (Acts 2:1-4)

"The Lord sees everything you do. Wherever you go, he is watching. The sins of the wicked are a trap. They get caught in the net of their own sin. They die because they have no self-control. Their utter stupidity will send them to their graves." (Proverbs 21-23)

"'But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the farthest parts of the earth'" (Acts 1:8)

"'You were the seal of perfection, full of wisdom and perfect in beauty...You were anointed as a guardian cherub, for so I ordained you...and you corrupted your wisdom...So I threw you to the earth; I made a spectacle of you before kings. The start of the day and almost the entire day was rough. I did not know if I was going to complete everything today or not. I did not sleep well last night because I had a bad dream, and I think that led to my mood. It also did not help that it was cloudy and a bit dreary outside besides the warmth of the air.
Either way, I managed to complete everything I needed to do, and I felt so much better after dance. It allowed me to get out of my head and socialize a little with the people I love being around.

Then the Lord saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every intent of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually.  And the Lord was sorry that He had made man on the earth, and He was grieved in His heart. Genesis 6:5-6 The human heart is the most deceitful of all things, and desperately wicked. Who really knows how bad it is? But I, the LORD, search all hearts and examine secret motives. I give all people their due rewards, according to what their actions deserve. Jeremiah 17:9-10 Then I will sprinkle clean water on you, and you will be clean. Your filth will be washed away, and you will no longer worship idols. And I will give you a new heart, and I will put a new spirit in you. I will take out your stony, stubborn heart and give you a tender, responsive heart. And I will put my Spirit in you so that you will follow my decrees and be careful to obey my regulations. Okay now that several ppl have helped and rbed my post, here's a longer list of some content/trigger warnings in NMT2 (I tried to keep this as spoiler free as possible but there are some small spoilers. If you want to know anything more about any of these feel free to dm me. Also feel free to add on more if anyone has anything else that comes to mind)
Honey Queen
- Lots of Death all around, but especially durning the honey queen pageant, tho there's other points too (34:00 - 35:00 tho we don't see the actual death) (1:13:10 - 1:13:39) (1:14:50 - 1:50:40) (1:16:03 - 1:16:50) (1:25:00 - 1:25:28)
- Durning the song at the very beginning, Honey Queen, there's lots of clips of honeycomb (3:20 - 5:001 but honeycomb doesn't show up immediately)
- There's also lots of clips of bees in the same song (same as above)
- Zoey's grandma is homophobic (she never says anything particularly horrible, also she's a very minor character, but still) (23:50 - 25:09)
- Another character outs someone (23:50 - 25:09)
- A huge fight scene (1:10:30 - 1:16:50)
- There’s a not too graphic depiction of hanging, it happens when Linda and Zoey are fighting backstage on the catwalk (1:14:50 - 1:15:40)
- I'm really unsure how to explain this one but a very gross and graphic description of pig corpses magically coming together to form something else (1:24:16 - 1:24:43)
- At the end, there's a really close up shot of a mouth (think like the one in the them but like. Idk it was just grosser/scarier) (1:24:40 - 1:25:18)
- There's flashing durning the Nibbly Ditty (1:26:36 - 1:26:48)
Perky's Buds
- Gun violence (4:19 - 4:57) (51:34 - 52:54)
- Animal violence (birds spefically), both at beginning and the end (4:19 - 4:57) (52:54 - 53:19)
- Animal death (birds spefically) at the end (52:54 - 53:19)
- 4 people die, it's all in one scene when the nighthawks start attacking (24:35 - 25:37)
- Graphic vomiting scene when Ezekiel make Ziggs and Emma be feed like birds (they don't show vomit but the nosies and descriptions are very gross and graphic) (33:33 - 34:44)
Abstinence Camp
- There's lots of blood splatters on the screen durning Axe Man , they're pretty fake looking, it's just a red overlay in splatter patterns but it may still be something that bothers you (song is 58:55 - 1:02:33)
- You can see an axe a lot throughout Axe Man (same as above)
- Durning Axeman there's a bit with an axe holding a pair of underwear with a ton of blood covering it (59:55 - 59:59)
- Flashing images durning Axe Man (1:01:10 - 1:01:15) (1:01:42 - 1:01:48)
- You can hear someone vomiting for a little bit at the beginning of Abstinence Camp, starts as soon as The Axe Man song ends (1:02:34 - 1:02:39)
- Lots of death of all around 1:28:43 - 1:29:35) (1:42:48 - 1:43:19) (2:00:09 - 2:00:36) (2:01:00 - 2:01:18)
- Gross description of someone after they've died (1:29:55 - 1:30:10)
- several mentions of sex and masturbation. But the thing I can really pin point is once someone does masturbate and it's described (1:26:30 - 1:27:32)
Daddy
- A dog dies, of natural causes. When Frank goes home from the mall and then goes to the vet. (9:49 - 10:42)
- There's 4 deaths from when Shelia goes to the honey festival and forward for the rest of the ep. (51:51 - 52:28 this one is off screen but this is the moment we find out they're dead) (53:43 - 54:07)(57:33 - 58:04) (1:04:25 - 1:04:55)
Gun Violence (53:43 - 54:07)
Killer Track
- The song Killer Track is played when Kale and Miss Holloway are in the van (don't worry about when Rose is the van) it also has lost of flashing a loud nosies (1:26:36 - 1:28:19)
- There's a fake out death, it's a huge spoiler so dm for more info (1:37:30 - 1:38:23 this is when it happens but it's also talked about for a while after lmk if you want that too)
- Someone dies after the song Runaway With Me (2:01:45 - 2:02:12)
Yellow Jacket
- At the beginning when Hannah is in shop class, blood spatter across the screen throughout her vision (8:59 - 9:10) (9:39 - 9:49) (10:23-10:25 there's a sound for this one too, idk how exactly to describe it except well it kinda sounds like a finger getting cut off)
- Description of Hannah's accident (10:25 - 10:30)
- When Webby first appears there's a clip of a small spider (17:32 - 17:37)
- There's a bit where blue goo is puked into someone's mouth, can't get around this without a bit of more spoilering too so dm if you want to know when it happens (1:3544 - 1:35:58)
-Death, it's not an actual human that dies if that matters to you (1:41:13 - 1:41:27)

Super random question, but is there like an actual history about how the kippah (the piece of clothing itself not the meaning) developed, because so far I've kinda headcanon'd it came from balding men wanting to protect their bald spot from the sun. It also always seems so flimsy, how are guys not losing it all the time?
Bfhdhdjdjsjs your headcanon is A++.
Tbh, I had to look it up, since despite thinking about it when I was younger, I never bothered to look it up. According to Jewish encyclopedia, through Wikipedia,
The Israelites might have worn a headdress similar to that worn by the Bedouins, but it is unknown whether a fixed type of headdress was used. That the headdress of the Israelites might have been in the fellah style may be inferred from the use of the noun צַנִיף, tzanif (the verb tzanaf meaning "to roll like a ball", Isaiah 22:18) and by the verb חַבָּש, habash ("to wind", compare Ezekiel 16:10; Jonah 2:6). As to the form of such turbans, nothing is known, and they may have varied according to the different classes of society. This was customary with the Assyrians and Babylonians, for example, whose fashions likely influenced the costume of the Israelites—particularly during and after the Babylonian Exile.[42] [...]
I imagine that, at the beginning, it was meant to protect the skin from the sun's heat, like the Bedouin used it, and given what is customary within Babylonian and Assyrian societies, it probably had also a role in distinguishing your social class (which is still sort of a thing! For insurance, in general black kippahs are a staple of Haredi Jews). That being said, on the Assyrian stelees Jews are not shown to wear any kind of head dress, which might mean they weren't in vogue during that time (or that the one making the stelee got lazy 🦥).
Now, as for the change into a skullcap, I imagine it was a change in fashion, which stuck for the longest and thus became the norm, yet it still differs among different Jewish communities:
The Black Velvet Kippahs are, as I said, of the ultraorthodox Jews, and even they have variation: See how one has a rim and one doesn't.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Haredi children might also have velvet Kippahs with embroidery or other colors such as navy blue.
Yemenite Kippahs tend to have a dark color and embroidery at the bottom, while there are also knitted Kippahs used by less orthodox factions of Judaism, and they come in many colors and many designs.
In other words, it's either a community thing (think breslov, bukharan Jews, and haredim) and/or a fashion thing (think suede and crochedet Kippahs used by reform and modern Orthodox Jews).
Tumblr media Tumblr media
A good guide for this sort of thing is this the following image, which shows a series of changes of Jewish male headdress
Tumblr media
Jewish Head-Dress at Various Periods.1, 2. England (13th cent.). 3-5. Germany (13th cent.). 6-8. France (13th cent.). 9. Rhine Provinces (13th cent.). 10. Constance (1417). 11. Holland (15th cent.). 12. Italy (15th cent.). 13, 14. Germany (15th cent.). 15-17. Rhine Provinces (15th cent.). 18, 19. Worms (16th cent.). 20. Germany (16th cent.). 21. Worms: "Judenbischof" (17th cent.). 22. Swabia (17th cent.). 23. Frankfort-on-the-Main (1630). 24, 25. Poland (1765). 26, 27. Warsaw (1825). 28. Cracow (17th to 18th cent.). 29. Podolia (1750). 30. Tunis (1800). 31. Morocco (1800). 32. Moravia (1800). 33. Russia (modern). 34. Caucasus (modern). 35. Russia: Karaite (modern). 36, 37. Tunis (modern). 38. Russia: "Yarmulka" (modern). 39. England: rabbinical (modern).
As you can see, the headdress changed a LOT until it reached today's look, which is probably a product of changes in fashion, price of fabric, and probably also emancipation etc. and the desire to blend in better into gentile societies.
Then again, I'm no expert so I might be spewing nonsense XD.
Anyway, I hope this was helpful to some degree!!

When you recognize the goodness and mercy of Yeshua in your life, you become more loving and humble towards others and their struggles. Your heart changes, from stone to softness, towards yourself, and your enemies. You run away from stoicism and yield to mourn over those who hadn’t or aren’t yet following Christ. You weep compassionately as Jesus wept. You reject independence and embrace identity in Christ, with a firey faith and a burning obedience. You come as the Lord created you to be. As God said in Ezekiel 36:26-27 “And I will give you a new heart, and a new spirit I will put within you. And I will remove the heart of stone from your flesh and give you a heart of flesh. And I will put my Spirit within you, and cause you to walk in my statutes and be careful to obey my rules.”

Israel's 9/11 - Nothing has Changed, It's still about a NAME
I studied the three major religions which have been in conflict since 632AD when forces from Muhammad conquered the Holy Land. When the last caliphate - Ottoman Empire - was driven out of Israel (Christian forces from England led by General Allenby) the Palestinian conflict over the land escalated. Britain gave up being a mediator and the United Nations divided the ancient land. Wars began - 1948, 1967 and 1973 - 50 years before today's war. The central flashpoint of the conflict has been the Temple Mount in Jerusalem, as it still is today. The war ultimately has been about THEOLOGY - not land, not oil, not even human rights. As Christians rush to their rapture charts and any minute timelines, Ezekiel 38 is one of the first books to prove we are in the last days, because it seemingly points to Iran (Persia) and the mysterious Gog (must be Russia). However, we must go first to Ezekiel 36, which acknowledges that God Himself would bring back Jews to their land of promise from the four corners of the earth. However, its not to rebuild a third physical Temple and re-establish the Law, but as Ezekiel 36 says; its "for the sake of His Name." Isaiah 40:26 inspired me to put this verse on my first book - in Hebrew, English and Arabic - because there is only one NAME ABOVE ALL NAMES. Terrorists would love to stop both Jews and Christians and prevent the "two sticks" becoming one.
Ezekiel 36 - King James Version
22 Therefore say unto the house of Israel, thus saith the Lord God; I do not this for your sakes, O house of Israel, but FOR MINE HOLY NAME"S SAKE, which ye have profaned among the heathen, whither ye went.
23 And I will sanctify my great name, which was profaned among the heathen, which ye have profaned in the midst of them; and the heathen shall know that I am the Lord, saith the Lord God, when I shall be sanctified in you before their eyes.
26 A new heart also will I give you, and a new spirit will I put within you: and I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you an heart of flesh. 27 And I will put my spirit within you, and cause you to walk in my statutes, and ye shall keep my judgments, and do them.
28 And ye shall dwell in the land that I gave to your fathers; and ye shall be my people, and I will be your God.
32 Not for your sakes do I this, saith the Lord God, be it known unto you: be ashamed and confounded for your own ways, O house of Israel.
Us Christians are called to show them Jesus. Scripture says that Jews will see their Messiah when they become jealous for what they see in the Church ... when the "fullness of the Gentiles" comes in - not a quantity but a maturity, a completed Bride made ready for our King Jesus. Until then the Last Days doom and gloom ministers may have to wait a long time. We have too much to learn about the "Kingdom on earth as it is in Heaven."
