Scratch’s Playthings
The FBC Nursery Rhymes are one of my favorite parts of Alan Wake II, not only were they fun to puzzle out I also just love the idea of some business person running around making handicrafts and clothespin dolls. I wanted to combine that with my absolute appreciation of the environments and props in this game and here’s the result.
Might end up buying the supplies to make my own clothespin Saga and Wake!

I dunno if I have a point here, but I find it very amusing that Alan Wake II introduced exactly One character from the FBC and then made sure we knew that she was canonically gay. The FBC is full of queer people and they want us to know it.

I have to remember: the Hiss. The Hiss is the enemy.

Can’t express how much I love that - in this era of corporate-funded-universe storytelling that often feels hyperfixated on lore before (and imo often to the detriment) of storytelling, Sam Lake is just like “nah. Mysteries are good. Categorization is just an attempt to contain the chaos of being but the chaos of being is good, actually”.

saga would fit in perfectly with the whimsy and horror of the fbc after the events of alan wake 2. she’s already technically with them after getting clearance from kiran and ahti is the world’s best reference when it comes to applying for a job at the oldest house. no one would even question her seer powers because life is already so weird when you’re at the fbc

Some interesting things that Alan Wake 2 tells about the FBC
So, we can assume that the story of Control takes place in 2019, right?
Remedy seems to keep the timelines of their more recent games consistent with the times they release in, with the thirteen year gap between Alan Wake 1 and 2 being explicitly referenced multiple times.
I find that interesting because a piece of information about the FBC, more accurately about the Oldest House crew, is revealed to us in the game.
Both Agent Estevez and some of the Taken say that the Oldest House has "gone dark". Assuming that the Hiss outbreak happened not too long before Jesse showed up, the external lockdown of the Oldest House hasn't been lifted in 4 years?
What the hell is going on in there?!?!?!
God, I'm so hyped for Control 2
