Thinking about The Firsts and Cloud with Tattoos...

(I know japanese culture is noth the biggest fan of tattoos but work with me here.)

Angeal: Angeal would have a tattoo, just the one, its on his upper arm and its The gold filigree band from the top of the original buster sword (cause I like that design better sue me). it wraps around his bicep as a memorial to his father.

Genesis: I feel like if gen were to have a tattoo it would have religious connotations. Maybe the Astrological sign of Minerva on his breast bone, or an Owl design mixed with Flames that takes up most of his arm. I dunno, as much as I make fun of his dramaticism I do think Gen is genuinly very religious and its an important part of his own identity.

Sephiroth: He either does not have any at all, or he has a massive one on his back. There is no inbetween. Massive Wings or something that he got without telling anyone and that symbolise his dissconnection with true freedom. I imagine Hojo would loose his shit and demand it be removed, but Sephiroths Skin seems to have assimilated the ink for good.

Zack: So many tattoos. most of them were decisions made while bored and/or drunk. some of them are insanely stupid but he likes them. Some of them he pretends have some deep meaning, but actually he just thought it looked cool. He has two that actually have important meaning, and he doesn't really feel the need to share. One going up his calf, which is a Vine thats only native to Gongaga. This is so he always has a little piece of home on him. the other is a collection of yellow flowers across his colar bone for Aerith.

Cloud: Cloud would have a few I think. Pre incident he'd just have a little ankle one he got on a whim when he got to midgar. Its just his Dog tag information which he'd later hate with a burning passion and get covered with something meaningless. Post canon he gets a cover up on his back and chest for the scar Sephiroth left on him. the front is up his sternum and is the sword Zack was using the first time they met. His back is a massive Nibel wolf sitting century at his back. it spans most of his back. Post AC he gets Aeriths Ribbon Tattoed on his Bicep.
