Honestly my favourite current theory for fnaf is that the mimic (who is probably not burntrap but may be glitchtrap) is intending to recreate the events of the William Afton Era™️ to a T, as it was built to mimic by....someone? I mean someone had to build it right.

Anyway I'm gonna lightly explain my reasoning for each of these even though I'm sure most of you have already made these connections before

I mean, we all heard the Vanessa theories already yeah? Not even mentioning her visual similarities to Elizabeth, I think either her or Michael could fit. Both of them were loyal to their father at some point (I don't know why else Michael would go into the Sister location bunker) and they both played significant roles in the story. I think if this was the case I'd wager Vanessa was *supposed* to be Elizabeth, but after breaking free she became more like Michael and hellbent on destroying the glitchtrap virus for good (maybe with a little bit of fire). I could understand arguments for Glamrock Freddy being Michael (even aside from him *literally* being Michael) but I didn't include any of the glamrocks because they serve a narrative purpose already as animatronics.

Gregory is. Obvious. I mean with how similar they look its already sort of suspicious, though Gregory is a little bit more of a fighter than CC. They at the very least share a connection with bear robots. I could see an argument for Gregory being Michael (God is Michael just every character?) But for visual similarities alone I picked CC.

Cassie was theorized from day one to be Cassidy or Charlie or both. I personally learn more towards Charlie but because of Something in hw2 I may be more willing to accept her as the vengeful spirit. I know Charlie doesn't always equal green but Cassie does have specks of green throughout her design, and she seems to be a very kind and caring friend (maybe too kind). Roxy being protective over her near the end is, well, a loose connection to the security puppet but I thought I'd bring it up.

For cassidy I can see this since if Gregory is CC, obviously cassidy and him would most likely talk and maybe be friends. In the picture that is from the logbook which might be cassidy they share a similar hair style. Not identical but, similar. Though I miss Cassie's curly hair </3

Mimic is probably the most obvious connection. William is like. The only human murderer from the original story, so you know, if the mimic is trying to kill people it's safe to say they are probably mimicking him. Though clearly they are not above mimicking other people (Gregory) in order to do this, sort of like what I imagine the funtimes did. I don't necessarily think they are acting like they did in the books where they are just carrying out an order to disassemble mechs, because if they were WHYyyy the need to lure people down there? Hey man I don't think that person you tricked into climbing down here is an endoskeleton I think that's a fucking person. This seems much more malicious, something that would make sense if they based their actions off of a killer from the 80s.

Also I guess Cassie's dad is worth a mention, who may be a parallel with Henry Emily or even Charlie herself. I'm leaning more towards Henry but I could see a case for it. I guess he can always be Michael. Because as much as I like fan interpretations of him he's sort of. Just Like. There. You know to be a foil to his dad.

Anyway I hope this was interesting, or rage inducing. And no I don't like the idea of them being robots of the character ❤️

Cassie is the one trying to escape the Pizza Plex and the roaming animatronics with the help of ("the best") Roxxanne Wolf

Gregory is the one venturing into the now abandoned Pizza Plex in hopes of saving his best friend, and ends up stumbling across a familiar face (Glamrock Freddy) who still remembers him.

bro i fucking LOVE that gregory dumped cassie thats so fucked up. thats a child making that brutal decision about his friend for the greater good. goddamn.

people are trying to be like "oh it was still Mimic" [that killed cassie in the elevator] - but like NO IT COULD NOT HAVE BEEN. THAT WOULDNT MAKE ANY SENSE. the radio Mimic was using to trick cassie fell to the floor and broke before it starts chasing her!!

plus during that last chase scene the real gregory mentions he knows how to get her out + that a friend is helping him (the friend being freddy i'd assume? tho i also saw someone saying vanessa after shes no longer evil) which would be pointless details to bring up and not to mention.. mimic is chasing her. why would it.. make it harder to get her.. for itself

also!! its very in character for gregory to do that!! like he was more than willing to fuck up the other animatronics just to give freddy wholly unnecessary upgrades. kid does not fuck around! yeah its cold, yeah its painful to see happen. but i do think he'd do it.

I love that they actually named them Eclipse n_n I’m so happy that they line up with the interpretation I always had: Absolutely friend shaped. Somehow calmer and more gentle than their separated entities. Don’t get me wrong, I love other people’s “unhinged Eclipse” or “evil mastermind Eclipse” headcanons, those can be fun. But I always wanted this one. We’re friends now.

RUIN SPOILERS!!!! BACK OFF!!!! WOOFWOOFWOOF!!!!

(its really just my thoughts on it though. so like. nothing major)

I cant get over how good ruin is. like. im so glad that fnaf has now been very clearly divided into "pre help wanted" and "post help wanted". Don't get me wrong- I really like what security breach has done, and its one of my favorite games in the series, but I really hated what it did for the story. It showed exactly what FNAF had become- cheap and overdone. The story was bad, reused, and honestly? SB felt like a game that Fazbear Entertainment would make after help wanted. It felt like a cheap cash grab while barely imitating what had made fnaf work in the past.

And then ruin changed ALL of that. With the use of the mimc replacing burntrap, its managed to separate the series perfectly. Plot points aren't really bleeding over, and as someone who much prefers old fnaf i can actually appreciate the newer games without feeling like the older games are being attacked, or risk being changed. It's like I can actually enjoy modern fnaf now and its so relieving.

Ruin has like. genuinely helped me so much. with fnaf. Not only is the game SICK AS HELL but its really helped me come to terms with new fnaf as a whole. I hadn't realized how uncomfortable I would get anytime fnaf was brought up, because I'd brace myself for the new off the wall theory or take like it was going to come after me and my family and thats like. crazy to think about now. im totally not going to shut up about ruin for the next

Ok cause like, everytime Gregory talks to Cassie his voice is distorted and weird and one of the endings is where Gregory runs and is found by vanny and also one of the things you pick up is comic pages of the ending where Gregory and Freddy escaped and were happy so like what if the real ending was that Gregory never escaped and in fact, died there and is now haunting the place
