From The Twelve Brothers, which is a faerietale told by the Brothers Grimm:-

“There was, however, a little garden belonging to the bewitched house wherein stood twelve lily flowers, which are likewise called students. She wished to give her brothers pleasure, and plucked the twelve flowers, and thought she would present each brother with one while at dinner. But at the self-same moment that she plucked the flowers the twelve brothers were changed into twelve ravens, and flew away over the forest, and the house and garden vanished likewise. And now the poor maiden was alone in the wild forest, and when she looked around, an old woman was standing near her who said, ‘My child, what hast thou done? Why didst thou not leave the twelve white flowers growing? They were thy brothers, who are now for evermore changed into ravens.’”

Finished FaerieTale!Flowey

3 feet tall- who knows how old he is at this point.

Couldn’t think of a good nickname aside from ‘Manny’, so i just decided to call him what he is (a mandrake).

I liked him with the leaf tail- but i feel like it’d be too much for this design.

Or perhaps not so mysterious now. E'mrys laughed softly, distracting himself by brushing imaginary tangles from his tail from where he sat on the low wall. Here they were on this final eve of the ball, unmasked at long last. Who'd have ever thought the entertaining young man he'd been immediately smitten with was the prince of his own kingdom's rival?

Not that E'mrys truly cared about the specifics of their positions.

But it was still funny.

"There's no need to look so worried. I... I'm merely surprised but I know you had no ulterior motives. Rest assured in that." The prince of Tiramet sighed, raising his eyes with a smile to meet those deep blues he loved. "Besides, it's hardly as if you were aware of who I was. I've never made any public appearances until this ball."

RELATIONSHIPS — TALK ABOUT THE MUSE.

NAME: Morganaux de Roulemet / Morganaux de Dzemael ROMANTIC ORIENTATION: Gay, polyamorous PREFERRED PET NAMES: He would rather not have any used on him. Excluding situations where he’s in Ishgard and having to be on his “best” behavior, he goes almost exclusively by the nickname “Morgy,” unless he trusts someone to call him by his full first name. However, he will allow pet names that are given to him, so long as there’s significance behind it. RELATIONSHIP STATUS: Entirely verse-dependent, and unless discussed otherwise, he’s single. FAVOURITE CANON SHIP: (i don’t know why the font got larger here but i don’t know or care enough about formatting try to fix it lmao) There’s no canon, official WoL ships, so none. Unless you count his non-RP “canon” written exactly to my own tastes, and in that case, it’d be Morgy/Emet/Hyth/Eli. FAVOURITE NON-CANON SHIP: See above. OPINION ON TRUE LOVE: It absolutely exists and he will do anything for the sake of true love, viewing it as a force of good in the world that can warm even the coldest of hearts. This sounds pure and wholesome, but it’s not healthy at all for him (or those around him, for that matter), and him learning a more realistic form of love is one of my favorite character arcs to explore for him! OPINIONS ON LOVE AT FIRST SIGHT: It’s not something he truly believes in deep down in his heart, but he wants to believe in it and will say he does! HOW ROMANTIC ARE THEY?: On a scale of 1 to 10, a thousand. Once he’s convinced he’s found the right person, he’s going to put his all into the relationship. IDEAL PHYSICAL TRAITS: Long hair, taller than him IDEAL PERSONALITY TRAITS: Wants to do good in the world (even if it doesn’t line up with his own vision of good. it’s the intent that matters!), ambitious, critical thinker, open-minded. He’d really like to be with someone intellectually stimulating who helps him in his quest for knowledge and gets him to question the world around him. UNATTRACTIVE PHYSICAL TRAITS: He can’t stand people who don’t even try to present themselves nicely, especially when it comes to hygiene. He will tell someone to their face if they need a bath and he isn’t sorry at all about it. Too much muscle is also a turn-off for him for the most part, with few exceptions. UNATTRACTIVE PERSONALITY TRAITS: Close-mindedness, excessive piety, lack of ambition, having no interest in being a life-long learner. IDEAL DATE: Exploring an unfamiliar locale, especially if it’s somewhere they’re not supposed to be. Dancing in an empty ballroom would also be ideal! DO THEY HAVE A TYPE?: Morally grey (or completely immoral) mages. He doesn’t purposefully seek out the villainous type and is very much aware that it’s a problem, but he gravitates toward them anyway. AVERAGE RELATIONSHIP LENGTH: Verse-dependent. By default, he hasn’t been in any relationships due to him being a very repressed Ishgardian with little free time on his hands. PREFERRED NON-SEXUAL INTIMACY: Simply being in the presence of his partner(s), even if they aren’t speaking or doing the same thing, being content in the knowledge that they’re happy together. COMMITMENT LEVEL: Completely and utterly devoted to a fault. (In a self-destructive, prone to corruption kind of way, not in a way that disrespects any boundaries!) OPINION OF PUBLIC AFFECTION: He’d prefer not to, but wouldn’t shut it down completely if it’d make his partner(s) happy, so long as it remains in moderation. He isn’t shy about his affections, but simply values his privacy and hates the idea of his relationships being the subject of gossip, which is pretty much inevitable as a WoL and a High House noble. PAST RELATIONSHIPS?: By default, none. He was, however, deeply in love with his best friend Noudenet, but the two of them never actually told each other how they felt before the whole Thordan situation happened.

Project Intro: The Heartwood Trilogy

Summary: Just outside the modest city of Saint Paul, Minnesota, a small faerie commune hides in the bluffs of Lilydale. For Micah Stillwater, he puts most of his energy into denying it's there, even though his half-sister, the savage, elegant faerie Ingrid rules them. For bookish computer programmer Andrew Vidasche, he puts most of his energy into trying to get unwitting or endangered humans out of Lilydale and away from intoxicating Fae-spelled foods. But when they fall for each other following a chance encounter, their lives seem to have more and more to do with Lilydale, and with Micah's ever-growing Fae magic.

QotD: What's a fairy tale you want retolled that you don't see enough of? As promised, I will be taking this week to show off as many art as I possibly can within The Faerie Tale Romance series. Lastly we have The Lily Gate, a retelling of The Frog Prince. These books don't have to be read in any particular order. Another gorgeous book with amazing art in it, and the story was super fun and cute too! Bachelor and Bachelorette stories aren't really my thing, but I decided to give TLG a chance because I enjoyed the first 2 books and I'm really happy I did. A dedicated, responsible, and caring protagonist paired up with a mischievous frog who wants the best for his Princess? Sold hehe. Have fun with your new book! The Glass Gate can currently be purchased as an ebook, the physical versions are coming soon. Once out, I'll show as much of the art as I can. It was hardly uncommon for formal parties and the like to be held by the various kingdoms in the realm. What was uncommon, however, was E’mrys finding himself at one. Oh, sure, he had always been invited alongside his royal parents but until now he had always found ways to avoid having to attend. This time, however... Well, he had run out of excuses. There were no plans made ahead of time for him to use as a way to stay in the kingdom.

And so... Here he was.

E’mrys sighed to himself, smiling and nodding politely towards yet another masked stranger. Only the first night of what promised to be a week-long ball all to mask the fact that once again tensions had risen between his kingdom and their...rival? Whatever it was considered. In all honesty he had little interest in the intricacies of it. Particularly now, wearing a mask and clothes he rarely ever even looked at. But tensions there were and thus the ball was held to ease the fears of the populace while the monarchs argued behind closed doors and false smiles.

Exhausting.

That’s what it was. And he couldn’t even drink the wine that was being offered by various well-dressed servants.

He knew, of course, that etiquette demanded that he go and ask whoever he had been introduced to during the course of the night already for dances but... A snort, shaking his head as he leaned more heavily against the wall. It was easier to simply watch the dancing couples. All the brightly colored silks and sparkling jewels made his head spin a bit. And then, he paused. Ears twitching slightly, perking up with poorly concealed interest.

An unfamiliar head of golden hair and a simple and yet elegant black mask. One that matched the style. And a smile, bright as the sun and somehow able to stand out more than any jewel. E’mrys took a deep breath, trying to steady his nerves, before making his way towards the other man.

“Pardon me.” A smile, carefully polite, as he raised his head to meet the...much taller man’s eyes. “I hope it’s not too improper of me to interrupt your socializing. But, I must admit, you caught my eye from across the room and I would be honored if you would share the next dance with me.”

Perhaps not the most elegant approach, but it was fine.

The Snow-y Girl

First story, in which we discover the site and its subforums

This is where we begin. Now, at first it will not make sense. You may wonder at what relevance this has to our story. Fear not, for it shall become clear by the end.

Our story begins with an imp.. He was a very bad imp, but unfortunately for us, he was also a very clever one. It came about one day that he was experimenting with ways to cause mischief in the world of mortals, when to his delight he created a site that had this peculiar feature – those who dwelled on it would find that all that is good in them would be shrunk, whilst the nastiest and most bitter parts of themselves would rise to the top. They would become incapable of any expression but the sneer, and what was truly beautiful would seem hideous to them.

The imp smiled at this. The imps in his nursery – for he had a nursery, in which to raise more imps to follow in his footsteps – agreed that his creation was indeed a masterpiece. They talked excitedly amongst themselves about how wonderful it was, now that the ugliness of the humans was laid bare for all to see. They spread it far and wide, till they sought to corrupt even the angels with it.

But as they sought this, the site fragmented. One might think this a wonderful thing, for such an evil to be destroyed by the folly of its creators. Alas, it was not to be, for the evil was not divided but multiplied. The imp of course grinned even more at this. His invention had succeeded far beyond what he could have dreamed. Some fragments were large, and sucked their victims in, distorting their view of the world. Many others were small, tiny holes of bitterness in the void. It is to these holes that we now turn.

What is she looking at ? 🧐

Thought it was interesting to show the layers that are being worked on, the arm still on the sketch layer with messy lines while the face is more polished but still far away from done.

I wish I could record the process like on procreate but I use an old version of photoshop :( I tried using OBS and not only is it a pain to setup the result came out blurry/pixelated, so if anyone knows of a way please let me know I'd be thankful ! 😭
