7th September 2023: Winchester, Lakeside and home
Photos in this set: 1. An enchanting Long-tailed Tit that I enjoyed seeing in the sun when cutting through Lakeside this morning. 2. A Peregrine at Winchester Cathedral I believe Winnie. I was very excited to see a Peregrine here for the second day running I am on quite a good run of seeing them here for the time of year as we come away from the breeding season. It was exceptional to watch her once more, seeing some wing stretches and preening. And I'm thrilled to early on make it another month consecutively that I've photographed a Winchester Peregrine in. 3. Lovely Woodpigeon at the River Itchen. 4. Beautiful red flowers in Winchester which it was great to see. 5. A stunning sunny scene at the river. 6 and 7. Yellow and green leaves and a view at Lakeside this morning. 8 and 9. Views in Winchester, I relished seeing green leaves against bright blue sky again today with a fair few yellow leaves on the ground and on trees a key theme this week. 10. Herb-Robert by the River Itchen.
It was also good to see Small White, Magpie, bee, wasp, hoverfly, raucous bold Carrion Crows at Lakeside this evening, Herring Gull, ragwort, fleabane, white clover, broad-leaved clover, ivy-leaved toadflax, willowherb, daisies by the water at the river and near Lakeside, pineappleweed, orpine, roses, fox-and-cubs, red or henbit deadnettle and hear a Robin's lullaby at Lakeside this evening. Fly, moth and ladybird were interesting to see at home in the evening with Magpie and Collared Dove out the back today and yesterday.

Garden Escape
Hello darlings! Today's story was brought to you by Sarah! Darling, thank you so much for all your support!
Prompt: Beastly Familiars
+++
Building fences was hard work, even on the best of days. There was a lot of digging holes, planting posts, and hammering nails in to secure the thick wire fencing to the wooden posts. The task was made harder by the height of the fence, which stood well over eight feet tall.
It was vital.
Faun could jump a six-foot fence from a stand. Eight feet was, hopefully, enough to keep her contained.
(I want out.)
“I’ll let you out when the fence is done,” Candice yelled at the small shed which served to contain Faun and her two babies, Bambi and Thumper. Candice planned to keep both little does as a boost to her dairy business. Of course, she had to figure out how to keep them contained first. “You ate all my roses!”
(I am in milk. I require only the best.)
Goats. Faun was all attitude, and worse, she was clever enough to figure out any lock that didn’t actively require thumbs, and some that did. She could climb fences sometimes, knock them over with enough effort, and could fit through a gap that should never allow an animal her size.
And now she had a pair of little helpers who could go through a hole the size of a grapefruit, and were just as eager to devastate Candice’s garden. They weren’t weaned yet, but they were getting started on solid food. To nobody’s surprise, their favorite food was the flowers Candice painstakingly coaxed out of the rocky soil.
(Let me out!) Faun demanded again. The door vibrated madly as she butted it hard. She probably wouldn’t knock it over, but she might break the door. Again. (I demand tribute!)
Candice rolled her eyes, hammered the last nail into place, and very seriously considered whether to let her familiar out of the barn. They had been bonded for almost five years, and Faun’s mother had been her familiar before Faun herself. Her family had been dairy farmers for a long time, but with the increased desire for goat and sheep milk cheeses, Candice did good business in milk.
She probably shouldn’t leave them locked up.
The door shook as Faun butted it again, and the wood cracked. Candice swore under her breath and yanked the gate closed before she made for the barn.
“Fine, fine,” she muttered and yanked the door open just in time to spare it more of Faun’s tender mercies. ”There go. You’re free.”
Faun pranced out of the barn like a queen and paused as she took in the shiny new fence that now surrounded her paddock. She was a beautiful goat, spotted and tawny like the deer she was named for. She had won a dozen prizes before her mother died and Candice bonded with her. Familiars, of course, weren’t allowed to compete. The paddock was something of a consolation, since Faun had loved competitions.  It should be tall enough to keep her from jumping it, curved slightly inward to keep her from climbing it. The posts were railroad ties, set in concrete.
If anything would contain her familiar, this would do it.
Of course, Faun immediately made for the gate peered at it speculatively, and then examined the lock.
Before Candice could stop her, the goat took a few steps back, shook herself once, and dove at the gate. Candice lunged for her and wasn’t quite fast enough to keep her familiar from wedging herself through the gap between gate and fence. With another firm wiggle and a spike of magic, she was through and making a beeline for the garden at top speed. Her babies bleated and charged after her.
Candice grabbed for them and got an arm under Bambi’s stomach, but missed Thumper as the little spotted kid-goat squeezed through the gap in the fence right behind her mother.
“You stay the hell out of my roses!” Candice roared after her familiar and scrabbled at the gate, one hand occupied by the wiggling baby goat. The lock was deliberately difficult in an effort to contain Faun, but now it served to slow Candice in her moment of need. “Don’t you dare!”
She got no reply, but she didn’t expect one. The gate finally opened and she set Thumper down so she could run for the garden, magic brimming on her hands. As soon as the spell was ready, she flung it out. Just in time. The shield coated the fence between the goats and the garden. Faun ran into it, shook herself, and charged it again just to be stubborn. Before she could make for the next garden over, Candice snapped the shield around her familiar and the two kids.
Goats contained, she stalked over and glared at Faun, who glared back, not the least bit sorry and absolutely inclined to go for the garden again the moment she got the chance.
“Thanks for showing me your fast way out,” she told the goat and took ahold of Faun’s collar firmly before she dispelled the shield. The babies, at least, were young enough to follow their mother. “Guess that gate isn’t as secure as the manufacturer promised. And don’t think I didn’t see you use magic. I’m gonna ward it against you.”
(I will not be contained,) Faun seethed and yanked on her collar. Unfortunately for her, Candice was not a small woman, and had been handling goats for a long time. Her attempts to escape were in vain. (I have nothing but time.)
“And I have no good reason to give you the scraps from the garden if you’re bad.”
That made an impression. Faun was very food-motivated and would do almost anything for all the thinned vegetables that were coming out of the garden this time of year.
Candice let her mull it over until they were back in the pen and set her familiar free, but not before shielding the gate to prevent the same escape from repeating itself immediately. Faun examined the gate, and then strolled over to the pile of hay in her feed trough as if that was her plan all along.
(I will stay here,) she decided imperiously between prim bites of hay and baleful glares in Candice’s direction. (For now.)
“Great,” Candice said, and knelt to examine the gate. It would be a lot of work to shield it permanently, but she didn’t see any other way around it. The gate was a weak point, and Faun knew it. “Don’t bother trying to get out again. I’ll be back soon, and if you’re not in the paddock when I get here, I’ll give the garden trimmings to the pigs.”

Spring 2022 Behind-the-Scenes Reading
A look into my reading habits this spring, featuring the iconic #DraculaDaily, a weird #Xena comic and classic detective novel, #TheMalteseFalcon.
For March to May, I began making a concerted effort to chip away at the pile of books that have been sitting on my dresser for far too many months, two of those books can be seen in the above image and with any luck there will be four more gracing next quarters list. Finished: The Maltese Falcon by Dashiell Hammett- An excellent read. I already loved the movie and the Sam Spade radio drama, so…

Why aren't ostriches kosher? A case-study for Kashrut laws
Unlike mammals and fish, the Torah does not provide a list of signs that identify a bird as kosher or non-kosher. Instead, it provides a list of non-kosher birds in Leviticus 11:13-19, and they are:
נֶּ֙שֶׁר֙- Eagle
פֶּ֔רֶס- Vulture (or Kite)
עׇזְנִיָּֽה- Black vulture (or Osprey)
דָּאָ֔ה- Kite (or Kestrel)
אַיָּ֖ה לְמִינָֽהּ- Falcon (or Vulture) of every variety
כׇּל־עֹרֵ֖ב לְמִינֽוֹ- All varieties of Raven
בַּ֣ת הַֽיַּעֲנָ֔ה- Ostrich
תַּחְמָ֖ס- Nighthawk (or Jay, or Goatsucker, or some species of Owl)
שָּׁ֑חַף- Gull (or Sparrow hawk)
נֵּ֖ץ לְמִינֵֽהוּ- Hawks of every variety
כּ֥וֹס- Little owl (or just Owl)
שָּׁלָ֖ךְ- Cormorant (or Gull)
יַּנְשֽׁוּף- Great owl
תִּנְשֶׁ֥מֶת- White owl
קָּאָ֖ת- Pelican (or Starling)
רָחָֽם- Bustard (or Magpie)
חֲסִידָ֔ה- Stork
אֲנָפָ֖ה לְמִינָ֑הּ- Herons of every variety
דּוּכִיפַ֖ת- Hoopoe
עֲטַלֵּֽף- Bat
The Torah repeats this list in Deuteronomy 14:11-18. As you can see, most of the species on this list are uncertain in translation (which is why I offered alternate translations), although you can see the general idea. But, we know 100% that ostrich is explicitly forbidden in the Torah, we don't even need to derive anything. The birds that are kosher are generally regarded as kosher based on unbroken tradition that they are (they are cases of birds no longer being considered kosher by most Jews despite them once being considered kosher, because the tradition was broken, but we'll get to that later).
Of course, there are many more birds species besides those listed, and very early on the Sages figured signs of kosher and non-kosher birds based on the list. First, as you can see, many of the birds on the list are birds of prey, so any birds of prey are automatically non-kosher. That was easy for them to figure out.
But what about anatomical signs?
Well, they figured that out, too. (Chullin 59a)
A bird that claws its prey and eats is non-kosher (such as birds of prey).
A kosher bird has a digit seperated slightler higher behind the other three toes, a crop, and/or a gizzard that has a membrane on the inside that can be peeled. Below is a comparison of raven feet and a parrot's foot, versus duck feet and chicken feet. On the left, the raven and parrot's feet have all their toes branching out of the same level. On the right, the duck and chicken feet's back toe is slightly elevated and seperate from the other toes.
Tumblr media
A bird that perches on a wire with two toes in the front and two in the back is non-kosher, as demonstrated below by a close-up of a parrot's feet while perching. You can see that there are only two toes in the front, while the other two are in the back.
Tumblr media
So, in order for a bird to be considered kosher, it must not be on the list of non-kosher birds provided in the Torah, must fulfil the anatomical descriptions outlined later by the Sages, and must have a tradition of being kosher.
Israel is the largest consumer of turkey meat per capita. This is because Jews eat a lot of turkey, including kosher-keeping Jews. But.....turkey is a New World bird! How can there be a tradition of turkeys being kosher if the ancient Israelites would have never encountered turkeys???
So this is where it gets even more interesting. When turkey was first introduced to Jews, it became widely popular. It's thought that Jews first started eating it because of its similarity to chicken, and assumed it must be kosher. Eventually, the Rabbis realized they had to make a decision about the status of turkeys. If they ruled turkeys as non-kosher, then all the Jews who had already been eating turkeys would be ruled as eating non-kosher, which y'know as a Rabbi you really don't want to declare a whole bunch of Jews as doing the wrong thing. So, most Rabbis relied on a passage in the Talmud stating that a non-kosher animal cannot become pregnant by kosher animals (Bekhorot 7a). Since turkeys and chickens can hybridize, Rabbis relied on this passage to declare turkeys as kosher. There are still some Jews today that don't regard turkey as kosher, but it is accepted as kosher by the majority of world Jewry and is a very popular meat.
What about peacocks? Well, peafowl are mentioned numerous times in the Tanakh and in Jewish history as being eaten, but today, the Orthodox Union does not certify them as kosher. Peafowl are genetically related to other kosher birds and have all the necessary signs.....but they are no longer considered kosher by major Orthodox opinions. This is because the last record of peafowl being considered kosher and eaten by a Jewish community was in the mid 19th century. The tradition was broken, and therefore peafowl aren't eaten or certified, despite the fact that they technically are kosher.
Now here's where is gets fun- somehow, the distinctions between kosher and non-kosher birds fit really neatly within our modern understanding of bird phylogeny. Most kosher birds fall under the Galliformes (chickens and friends) and Anseriformes (ducks and friends) Orders, which are more closely related to eachother than they are to any other Orders, and make up the Superoder Galloanserae. The only kosher birds that don't fall into that Superorder are pigeons and doves, but pigeons and doves are already considered a little different by the Sages- they're the only birds that can be used as offerings in the Temple. This is yet another example of how well the ancient Jewish animal classifications fit with out modern phylogenetic understanding, it's super cool. Because grebes and gallinules look a lot more similar to ducks than chickens do, but nope, they are not kosher while ducks and chickens are, and indeed, ducks and chickens are more closely related to each other than ducks are related to grebes and gallinules.
So, in conclusion- ostriches aren't kosher because
1) They are listed among the non-kosher birds in the Torah
2) They are missing toes- their toes are not in the configuration outlined in the Talmud, and in fact they only have two very large toes, as you can see below:
Tumblr media
3) They do not have a crop (all ratites do not have crops)
Hope you enjoyed this long-winded way of answering why ostriches aren't kosher :)

The magnificent bird and the golden cage
Tumblr media
— Including: nsfw (-17)
— Warnings: gn reader, toxic behavior & manipulation from both reader and Otoya, unhealthy relationship, cheating.
— Summary: Who is the magnificent bird in the gold cage, and who keeps him locked there.
Tumblr media
Part 3 -> Don Lorenzo, Tabito Karasu & Eita Otoya
Tumblr media
Tumblr media
✖︎ You are the gentle falconer, and he is the lovely Magpie.
— Don Lorenzo is a man who lived a difficult life. As he was born into a miserable household, abandoned by his parents, living on the streets for a long period of time… It’s no wonder that Lorenzo kept a difficult relationship and point of view on money, even if he can live comfortably now. His obsession with money represent a huge part of his personality, and he can’t help but never be satisfied with what he has, the internalized fear of losing all his money and ending up on the street again is eating him from the inside.
— Meeting you did not change him, his fear still eating him alive and distracting his mind. Even if your close relationship did not affect his traumatized self, it still changed a few of his habits. The fact that you were earning less than him and lived a pretty average life was stressing him out, he started to fear that you would end up without money at some point if you stop working, or get injured. Every week, he can’t help but transfer a specific amount of money, which is higher if you got sick or went on holiday during the previous week.
— You didn’t want to take advantage of his fear and only put his money on the side, without using it, keeping it only for an emergency. When you hang out with Lorenzo, and often Snuffy, neither of them let you pay. At first, it was always Snuffy paying for the three of you, then, Lorenzo took the habit of paying sometimes. The second you take out your credit card, your hand is slapped away without any care, so in exchange, you regularly buy them gifts, such as golden items for Lorenzo, football related items, or cute decorations for his apartment.
— The moment you started dating, he was very much always with you. You work from home as much as you can, he brings you to his practice when you aren’t busy, he follows you around in the morning. After all, Lorenzo doesn’t just have an obsession on money, but also on love and affection, since he lacked this part of a relationship his entire life. Hand holding is necessary for him, resting his chin on your shoulder is a must, the sensation of having you close to him physically and mentally.
— You rapidly move in together, and instantly, he creates a joined bank account for you two. Lorenzo often tends to give you money if you do something for him, buys you anything that he thinks will suit you. A few of his teammates were convinced that you were only with him for money, until they notice what was your kind of dynamic you had together: the constant wholesome reassurance, the support you always give each other, the almost childish way of teasing the other to bring a smile to their face. You had the most healthy relationship possible, even with your shared or distinct experiences and trauma.
— In the end, you keep Lorenzo in the most comfortable cage, filled with silk pillows and most expensive food. He is more dependent of you than you are dependent of him, but it didn’t create an unbalanced or one-sided relationship. You have different love language, and both give the most love to the other as possible, while trying to learn how to grow past the difficult experiences together.
Tumblr media
✖︎ You locked each other in the same golden cage.
— Karasu has that habit of looking down on people he deems as ‘mediocre’, but it isn’t to the liking of everyone. And it certainly wasn’t to your liking. And the fact that he uses his sharp tongue to insult friend or foe without any distinction only annoyed you more. There was this sensation of sheer annoyance sweeping through you whenever he opens his mouth to say something else than something about the game itself.
— Your relationship with Karasu started off the wrong foot, with a mutual annoyance that eat away your similar play style. You could be working so well together, but your behavior and temper made it impossible to even stand in the same room without glaring at each other.
— Though, you are both perfectionist, and both dislike when something well planned goes wrong. Whenever it’s important or not, and make a difference or not, you both react the same way: complain and say what went wrong. And it was the only moment you both understood each other perfectly, while the others thought that you were dramatic and always complaining. This is how you managed to more or less get along, externalize the frustration of a situation by talking to each other, and exactly getting where it was bothering the other. It was a pretty therapeutic way of relaxing, and you both wordlessly agreed to listen to each other when one of you needed it.
— You start to spend more time with each other, spending a good hour everyday just talking to each other and talking out any trouble or something that annoys you. It went to the point when you couldn’t even imagine talking to someone else about all of this, even for a short instant, it was engraved in your brain that you could just come up to Karasu and start talking. It was the same for him, and the rest of your teammates were surprised when they almost never heard neither of you complain many times per day anymore.
— This habit turned into dependence for each other's presence, and it became a daily need that could lead to extreme frustration if it wasn't given. When the new Selection began, you were both separated and both your mood were the worst anyone had ever seen. Karasu was complaining about every little thing, his sharp tongue turned deadly, his insults becoming harsher, more frequent and towards absolutely everyone. On your side, it wasn't any better if it was from a collective agreement to let the players walk around when they weren't training, so you could see each other.
— You never really began any romantic relationship, but this dependence to the other led to being together almost all the time. A game of control and reassurance between the two of you, since you didn't want the other to go see someone else, and it was the same for the other. It was a constant push into following your ideas, meaning that even if one of you were having a bad and dangerous idea, the other would constantly support them without trying to direct them onto a better path.
— This dynamic based on reassurance, mutual frustration, anger, and need for perfection was utterly unhealthy but also led to a reassurance and support that was greatly needed. In the end, you were so similar that you held onto each other even in the worst decision and time.
Tumblr media
✖︎ You are the falconer, he is the Smith scribe.
— Eita Otoya, a professional cheater. You have no idea how it happened, but you ended up going out with him only to get cheated on and broken with because he was too 'bored'. It wasn't even a proper break up, as he just sent you a text saying that it was over between you.
— The frustration only grew when you saw him get more and more partner, never learning the lesson, despite the fact that he was getting slapped almost every time. This blatant disrespect, the number of hearts you saw him break made you want to get revenge, or at least, get him to understand what he was doing to those poor souls. You had a few mutual friends with him, and you more or less know what he was becoming and hear more details about his recent behavior.
— Without any surprise, none of his previous partners would ever be willing to get in contact with him again, and you ended up being the first one to do so. On the note of wanting to just catch up with him and hear about how he was doing, a kind-of date at a coffee shop was decided, and you saw him face-to-face for the first time in months. His lack of shame was even worse than you thought, as he proudly said that he didn't have any partner, even if you knew he currently had a girlfriend.
— Meeting him at this coffee shop felt more like a date than anything else, he was being as flirty as when you met him, and he behaved like he was trying to win you over again. It irked you so much but kept calm, in the few months between your break-up, he didn't change in the slightest and tried to use the same cheap tricks to get you to go out with him again or spend a night together.
— You accepted the implied offer, and spent the night with him. But unlike what he was expecting, you weren't all over him the night morning, you just put on your clothes after grabbing something to drink and left. Otoya that was so used to get and keep the attention of his partner until he cheated felt lost, like he had lost a game against you and his ego really badly took the hit. And you gained an Otoya running after you while trying to not make it obvious, doing everything to get your attention and get into a relationship again.
— His ego when he saw you with someone else, seeming to have fun and be into a nice relationship, was the biggest blow. It was like telling him he was good enough for a night, but he wasn't deserving to be officially with you, only a guy on the side when you felt bored. He gave even more efforts into getting you to pay attention to him, pushing any flirt away to focus on getting you, which started a game of cat and mouse, but the mouse was actually a dog waiting to strike.
— You gave attention to Otoya for a day, before ghosting him, gave him attention again, before being seen with someone else. It lasted for weeks, until you finally accepted to go out with him. Your previous behavior was forcing him to always only be with you, from the fear of seeing you leave with someone else. And in the end, Otoya has been trapped into his own game of flirting and cheating.
— Even if you weren't planning on cheating on him, since you didn't want to be the same kind of bastard as him… You let the anxiousness of it growing at the back of his mind, soothing his heart when you felt that it was getting to him too much. You didn't know for how long it will last, but for now, he had been a loyal boyfriend to you.

— Thank you for reading! I wish you a great day.

Some bird symbolism
(Note: these are general, as birds have different meanings given to them by different cultures.)
Crows and ravens- Associated with Odin and wisdom in Norse mythology. Most often associated with night, death, and mourning. Seen as a bad omen (see crow/magpie rhyme)
Magpie- Playfulness, cunning, the trickster. A lone magpie is a bad omen (see crow/ magpie rhyme)
Pelican- Nurturing and self sacrifice
Geese- Traditional: Vigilance, protection, watchfulness. Modern: Chaos and assholery
Phoenix- Immortality, fire, the sun. The cycle of life, death, and rebirth
Pigeon- Traditional: Peace, prosperity. Modern: Uncleanliness, urban decay, the inner city
Albatross- Grace, good luck, the spirit of dead sailors (if only the Ancient Mariner knew before he took the shot)
Falcon- Speed, nobility, associated with the sun and seen as the protector of the pharaoh in ancient Egypt
Vulture- Death and decay. Western cultures perceive the vulture as evil. The Egyptians saw it as a protector, and many other cultures associate it with cleansing and holiness.
Eagle- Strength, nobility, patriotism. A two-headed eagle represents the ruler’s authority through both church and state
Swan- Grace, beauty, fidelity. Irish folklore sees the swan as the spirit of dead women and associated with the sea god Lir
Owl- Knowledge and wisdom to the ancient Greeks and Romans. Celtic Britain sees it as the outcast; hated by other birds and only able to fly at night. Otherwise associated with night, mystery, and death.

15th December 2022: Winchester and home: Winchester Cathedral, Abbey Gardens and the River Itchen
Key species I saw today;
Kestrel-This fancy falcon looked angelic beside the railway track in the morning light.
Blackbird-I saw females of these so well today, one at the cathedral which I took the fifth picture in this photoset of and it was delightful to take in a noisy one atop garden furniture beside Abbey House at Abbey Gardens which the sixth and seventh pictures in this photoset show.
Chaffinch-It was lovely to see one fly high into a tree opposite from Abbey Gardens in the sun at lunch time.
Feral Pigeon-Some good views of these including a nice white one at St. Thomas Church and one at Winchester Cathedral and a fair few crammed onto a roof beside the River Itchen a sight I enjoyed yesterday and last year on an essential office cover rota day I took the eighth picture in this photoset of them a nice colourful and eyecatching sight.
Gulls-I saw Herring Gull parading over the high street looking exotic against the blue sky and a Black-headed Gull at Winchester Cathedral on top of the cross there which I also saw on a cover office day late last year.
I also saw; Carrion Crow, Magpie looking amazing with its blue tinted feathers against the bright blue sky from the office, Woodpigeon, Robin well at lunch time too, Grey Squirrel, some beautiful viburnum in flower which the third picture in this photoset shows and frosty leaves on the way to the station this morning.
Other pictures I took today in this photoset are the first of some nice blossom beside Lakeside which I noticed yesterday more interesting perhaps unseasonal flowering I took and tweeted a photo of buds which I noticed recently too, second of the moon on the way in this morning, fourth of Winchester Cathedral kissed by the sun, ninth of the King Alfred statue standing high over the city and tenth of an extremely festive looking High Street with the tree and lights near to the Cross at lunch time I’ve really enjoyed taking in the festive scenes in Winchester this year. It was great to see the crisp half moon in the powerful morning light this morning on the way to the station, with beautiful views of central Winchester from unique angles for me and frost gripping the landscape at the Royal Hampshire Regiment Museum, Winchester Cathedral and Abbey Gardens I had a good day for taking photos of buildings today. Yesterday I enjoyed seeing the moon in the morning and some great red in the sky as the sun rose from the train, as well as frost gripping leaves at Winchester Cathedral and some long standing mushrooms I’ve enjoyed and taken phone photos of at Colebrook Street at lunch time getting phone photos of both of these.
On what was my last scheduled day to be working in the office in Winchester this year today, having already achieved my primary photographic Winchester aim this month of getting a Peregrine photo in a twelfth month of the year two weeks ago, I felt like ending my Winchester working year as I started bringing my bridge camera in my work bag for any photos I may fancy. From the personal Peregrine achievement of photographing one of the Winchester ones in every month to enjoying seeing them in another successful year for them, butterflies, dragonflies, flowers, Grey and Pied Wagtails, rare for me glimpses of Woodpigeon chicks by the office window and the amazing discovery for me of Winnall Moors I’ve had some brilliant moments watching wildlife and taking in scenes, capturing some with my phone camera and occasional days bringing a camera in my work bag on the two days working in the office per week as we entered the new normal of the hybrid working system. Today was so enjoyable just taking in the glorious winter sunshine at lunch time and feeling good to take photos during it with nice birds encountered too.
