i mean, last year when i was hyperfixated on the lovecraft mythos one of my friends faceclaimed buster for their idea of the eldritch trickster god nyarlathotep. so i thought hold on wait a minute

just fucking look at him.

i’ve seen so many clips of five behaving exactly like this? bro’s always falling over dramatically. what is that it’s the unknown

he can drive anything. sort of.

the final piece in the puzzle: in an episode of the twilight zone buster plays a time traveller. except the time machine (that bizarre contraption on his head) loses its shit as soon as he switches it on. remind you of anyone?

buster keaton is the ???th doctor in my mind. that is all. have a nice day. sorry for formatting a post in such a 2012 manner unfortunately that is par the course when discussing this sort of thing

 The eldest of the three siblings, Visenya was described as callous and unforgiving. She grew up training alongside, Aegon. And because of this, she made a fearsome opponent on the battlefield as well as in the air. 

 Aegon wed Visenya out of duty, and there was no romantic love between them. However, there was respect - possibly even friendship, albeit distant. Their personalities were very similar. Both being introverted, assertive and logical. 

  It was a shock to everyone when Aegon took another wife, his youngest sister, Rhaenys. It was not said how the relationship between Visenya and Rhaenys was, only that they were the complete opposite of one another (and that Aegon favored Rhaenys). 

  Visenya bonded with Vhagar, large and battle-reared, who made any and every man tremble. It was with the help of the young Vhagar, that the realms were conquored and united. 

 Visenya wielded the Valyrian longsword, Dark Sister. It was one of the two ancestoral swords of House Targaryen (the other being Blackfyre). 

 She had one son with Aegon, who did not continue the Targaryen line, although tried he did. His name was Maegor the Cruel. 

 It was also rumoured that Visenya dabbled with poisions and dark sorceries. Some rumours claim that that is how Maegor was conceived; through dark magic.

I would love to hear you opinion on Rachel Summers. She had become one of my favorite X-characters. Do you think we would ever see an adaptation (either live or anime)? If not, why? Is it just because her past is too dark or something else? Lastly, for fun, any actresses you would want to see play the role? Thanks for answering my question.

As a huge fan of Excalibur, I am also a huge fan of Rachel Summers, who I would argue is not only a brilliant, tragic, resilient, hopeful character who seamlessly manages to exist within both sci-fi and high fantasy genres, but also the best of the Phoenix hosts. (Fight me, everyone who disagrees.)

I think we could see Rachel Summers in an adaptation...eventually. As much as I love the character, she's not one who can be introduced right off the bat, because her backstory and core motivations are inextricably enmeshed with Days of Future Past and the (Dark) Phoenix Saga, and you need audiences to be invested in the alternate timelines and the Jean/Scott romance and the concept of the Phoenix as more than just an evil force for Rachel's introduction to carry the weight that it'll have to. So I'd say Rachel is a character who you'd want to introduce jumping timelines in the post-credits scene of the second movie so that she can be a main character in the third sort of thing.

In terms of actresses...I'm tempted to suggest someone from the wrestling world, because the casting sheet should call for a beautiful butch woman who's tall, muscular but not bulky, willing to wear full-body fetish gear, can rock a mullet, and can really ham it up (Rachel tends to very extreme emotions). I'd say Rhea Ripley, but she was born to play Callisto so she's already booked.

What do you think of Charlie Clapham as Doctor Doom?

Well, I'll start by reiterating that I don't like participating in fancasts and I don't usually feel comfortable cosigning them for Romani characters. First of all, we are still boycotting Marvel Studios and Disney, second, I don't want to see characters I like in the M C U. It's never faithful, it's rarely good, and I don't understand how some people haven't realized that yet.

More to the point, I don't like the way that this fandom tokenizes and objectifies Romani actors, and I don't think people understand that bringing these folks to the M C U fandom's attention puts them in a very vulnerable position. I'm only comfortable vocally supporting fancasts if the actor has put themselves forward and is embracing that attention. Charlie Clapham has put his own name in the ring by voicing interest in the role and advocating for Romani inclusion in superhero movies. I respect that and support him 100%.

Do I think that a British actor is the perfect fit? No. But as I said in this post, perfectly matching an actor to the nationality or vitsa of the character is less important to me, personally, than interrogating the reasons why American/British/Western Euro actors, especially actors who may be considered white-presenting, seem to be everybody's first choice for Romani characters who... maybe aren't any of those things.

In a perfect world, with the right script and the right director, a Romani actor like Clapham should be more than capable of bringing life to Roma characters from other communities or regions. But I want to see an overall more inclusive landscape of Romani representation-- we can't have someone like him playing a character like Doom every time.

Alright, now that my serious posting is done-- I think Charlie is literally SO fine and if he wants this job, he can get it. The role, I mean.
